Mateo was born a first gen American, both of his parents had been born and raised in Colombia until they moved to America when his mother had gotten pregnant with his older twin siblings, those siblings unfortunately passed away a couple weeks prior to their due date. Mateo's older brother Félix was born three years after the miscarriage, then Mateo was born a year later and then his sister Sofía two years after him.

Being born the middle child of his family and the second son he became overlooked by his parents, the focus always being on Félix and his law studies or Sofia and her troubles.

Due to the neglect Mateo always had time to do whatever he wanted, at the age of seven he started gaming and at the age of fourteen he started his YouTube account. For seven years his account didn't any attention but at the age of twenty two when he started looking at his account strategically he saw massive incline. He had 25,000 subscribers and with each month he gained more and at a higher quantity. On September 18th when he was twenty three he had 2,432,785 subscribers and then twenty minutes later he had 3,591,103, in an hour he had gained more then a million subscribers.

His mother and father were nineteen when they moved to America, his mother was pregnant with twins but unfortunately lost a baby, his mother's name is Mariposa and his father's name is Antoni, the twins were going to be named Eva and Lea. He has a brother who is a year older then him named Félix, Félix is the perfect child, he is a lawyer, married and has three children. Mateo's younger sister Sofía is the opposite, she is an addict who struggles with depression and anxiety, Sofía only daughter was taken away from her at birth. Due to both of Mateo's siblings being the center of attention Mateo was always left out.

He has one nephew named Leo and three nieces named Reyna, Liliana and June, Liliana is the daughter of Sofía, she was put into foster care at birth but Mateo still keeps connect with her.
