currently kirby is only aware of the power he inherited from his father, the ability to shapeshift into multiple animals but mainly birds.

mal — mal and kirby were never really the closest, he thought that she was a little annoying and mainly knew her through mutual but after spending more time with her in auradon he started to like her more and saw her as less of a mutual friend and as a friend in her own right.

carlos — kirby adores carlos, he treats him like a little brother and is very protective and supportive of him, kirby thinks that carlos is really cool but a bit of a scaredy cat which kirby finds really amusing.

jane — kirby thinks that jane is really cute, he hasn't really talked to her much but when he did he enjoyed the conversation, he flirted with her once to try and get jane to tutor him, she was completely oblivious to what he was doing but agreed to tutor him anyways.

chad — kirby wouldn't exactly call him his formed but he wouldn't exactly call him his enemy either. kirby is very aware and he can tell that chad is just a coward trying to impress a girl and not a bully, don't get kirby wrong chad is still a dick but kirby does see that he isn't some evil villain either.

jay — jay and kirby are like brothers, best friends, they kinda grew apart when they got older but as they went to auradon again they started becoming close again.

evie — kirby had the biggest crush on evie when they were younger, he has since gotten over the crush but every now and then evie by being awesome reminds him why he had a crush on her in the first place.

lonnie — kirby thinks that lonnie is so cool, when he first arrived at auradon prep he tried joining the fencing team but they didn't let him because he wasn't good enough, lonnie sympathised with him and taught him how to turn potential he already had into skill.

harry hook — kirby called gil stupid one time and ever since harry has hated kirby's guts.

gil — gil is heartbroken over the time kirby called him stupid.

magical history — kirby wasn't attending magical history at first but after he accidentally used some of his powers from his mother's side he was forced to take it. kirby hates that class because he thinks that his magic was just a one time thing and that he doesn't have any magic other then shapeshifting.

𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐓𝐘/𝐂𝐋𝐔𝐁.
fencing — after lonnie taught kirby how to use his natural talent and turn it into skill, he re-tried out for the team and got in.

debate club (i think that's a thing) — he is very good at debating.

𝐎𝐂𝐂𝐔𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍.
pick pocket — he would pick pocket with jay back on the isle.

animal sitter — because of kirby's ability to turn into a bird, he has a great connection with animals and he thought of a great way to get money out of that, watch the rich people's pets!

𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘.
he is loyal, very loyal, only to his friends but when it comes to people he doesn't care about he couldn't care less. kirby will flirt with people to get what he wants but over all isn't really a flirty person, he normally avoids people like that. kirby takes himself a bit too seriously and judges the people around him, which judgements he always shares aloud. kirby is smart and very good at debating and getting what he wants.

he was born a year before mal aka his half sister, was raised by his dad, he never knew who his mum is though he always thought she might be maleficent.

fencing — because kirby is half bird he has amazing reflexes and is also very alert due to his life on the isle, these are all important skills for fencing and lonnie saw that, she took him in and taught him how to turn these talents into skills.

debating — kirby loves a good debate and is very good at them, he can easily get what he wants and debate his way out of anything.

charisma — despite kirby being a loner he knows how to play people, on the isle his one main skill was his looks, he turned his looks into a weapon and would flirt with anyone to get what he wants.

empathy — he is very empathic to animals because he is a third bird.

fencing, his friends, his dad, debating, being alone, animals, being in his bird form, his ring, lonnie (as a best friend) and learning gossip from animals.

because he can talk to animals, kirby gets all sorts of gossip from them.

at the end of descendants one when maleficent goes all evil and escapes, in front of everyone she sees him ring and smirks evilly as she says, "you're father gave you that, didn't he?"
to kirby that is confirmation that maleficent is his mother but mal who had never suspected that he mum had another kid starts looking at kirby with questions.
