A whole six months have passed since [Y/n] had woken up from her petrification. She and Senku were making well of themselves with their resources and extensive knowledge.

[Y/n] even picked up on how to use a bow and arrow to make hunting easier. The clothes that Senku made for her were quite fashionable in her taste. The animal fur covered her front and backside while tied together with ribbons and flowers. [Y/n] used a vine to tie her hair in a ponytail.

It was only a matter of time until [Y/n] found herself a pet in the forest. It was a baby boar. It followed [Y/n] back to the shelter while she was out gathered berries.

Senku, of course, protested against keeping the boar, but it stayed, anyway.

[Y/n sighed as she stared at the Swallow that was encased in stone while sitting in Senku's laboratory.

[Y/n] tapped on the bridge of her nose out of habit of pushing up her glasses. 'How could this have happened? Why would someone what to do this?' [Y/n] thought and shook her head then stared at the floor. 'First, we need to restore those who are still statues. Think, [Y/n]... Think... How did I get out? Deterioration? No...'

"Oi, [Y/n]!" 

She heard and placed the statue down. When she came out of the lab, [Y/n] squinted at the blinding sunlight. "Look who finally decided to wake up." Senku said with a smirk while [Y/n] stared at the boy, who dressed in vines and leaves, in shock.

"Taiju-kun." [Y/n] said, causing Taiju to smile.

"[Y/n]!" He cheered and hugged the little female. [Y/n] hugged him back. She loved Taiju, maybe not as much as Senku, but she was glad that Taiju was alive.

"H-Hey!" Senku interrupted their moment and wrapped his arm around [Y/n]'s chest then pulled her close to him. "Don't hug her while you're buck naked!" Senku yelled.

[Y/n]'s face flushed. There it was again. Even after 3,700 years, the feelings she had for Senku still didn't go away. [Y/n] placed her hands on Senku's arms and squeezed it while pressing her body closer to him. Senku tried his best to ignore it.

"In order to rebuild civilization, we need a big, muscle-bound meathead. We've been waiting for you this whole time, Taiju. I was ten billion percent certain that you were alive." Senku said while [Y/n] nodded in agreement, "There's no way a guy who was so intent on confessing to Yuzuriha would give in after a few thousand years. You aren't that weak."

"Yeah. Of course, I'm not!" Taiju shouted, "I'm counting on you two to do all the brainy stuff. You can count on me to do the heavy lifting." He continued, and [Y/n] let go of Senku.

She went inside the shelter and brought out some clothes and shoes for Taiju. "We're counting on you, Taiju-kun." [Y/n] said with a small smile.

Taiju and Senku were shocked for a moment. It was always a rare treat to see [Y/n] smile. "T-Thanks, [Y/n]" Taiju stuttered while blushing and bit. Senku glared and slapped Taiju's back.

"Hurry up and get to work! Civilization is not going to rebuild itself." Senku said.

'Humanity spent two million years getting from the stone age to the modern age. We're going to sprint all the way to the top.' Senku thought and glanced at [Y/n] while him, her and Taiju sat around the campfire. 'We're going to take this world back.'

[Y/n] glanced at Senku.'We need to uncover the science the petrification and our revival. And start reviving other humans.' [Y/n] thought to herself.

'I'm going to save Yuzuriha!' Taiju cheered in his head.

'Three high school brats are going to build a civilization out of nothing.' Senku thought and smirked. "We're going to be the Adam and Eve of this stone world. This is exhilarating."

The next morning, Taiju came running back to the camp with a huge basket filled with food. "At least it's a huge haul, I guess. What kind of cheat gave you that stamina?" Senku questioned while [Y/n] went through the pile.

"Amanita Virosa: poisonous. Buna Shimeji: edible. Amanita Mascaria: poisonous. Mugwort: edible. Monkshood." [Y/n] muttered, tossing things aside.

"Who are you trying to kill, you moron?" Senku said to Taiju.

After tossing all of the poisonous plants away, [Y/n] took care of the cooking. "Wow! This is delicious! What season did you use, [Y/n]?!" Taiju asked while eating.

"I pulled some salt from the seawater as well as gathered a few herbs that were around." [Y/n] said and began to eat.

"Thank you two for everything! I'm going to make up for the thinking I can't do with brute force and diligence!" Taiju announced and stood up then picked up the basket, "Time to scavenge the other side!" Taiju ran off while [Y/n] and Senku waved him goodbye.

After the two geniuses were finished eating, Senku stood up and lend a hand to [Y/n]. "Let's go. I need to check on something." He said. [Y/n] stared at his hand for a moment before slowly nodding and taking it.

"Where are we going?" [Y/n] asked while following Senku hand-in-hand.

"I think I figured out the secret to our revival, but this is just my hypothesis, there's some testing that we need to do first." Senku explained. 

"Really? What is it?" [Y/n] questioned.

"Nitric acid."

"Nitric acid?" [Y/n] repeated, tapping the bridge of her nose out of habit.

"Yes, when I was revived, I noticed a few missing pieces in the stone fragments that were on my body. The surface of the stone was too deteriorated to revert back to living cells, but the parts of the surface that happened to be less petrified reverted back into living cells." Senku explained.

"That makes sense since other people stone on the inner and outer surface." [Y/n] muttered with placing her other hand on her chin, "I was not too far from you when I was revived as well."

"I came by a cave and tested my hypothesis with the petrified hairs on the back of my neck. It worked, but with my second attempt on Taiju, the nitric acid took six months to take effect." Senku continued to explain as they approached the cave.

[Y/n] looked around and noticed the people surrounding the cave that were still encased in stone. "But...what about these people? I'm sure the nitric acid reached them already." [Y/n] questioned.

"They've lost consciousness." Senku stated, and [Y/n]'s [e/c] eyes grew wide with realization. 

"We...were thinking the whole time. You were counting, Taiju was thinking of Yuzuriha while I was thinking of my mother, Taiju, Yuzuriha and..." [Y/n] paused for a moment and looked at Senku then squeezed his hand. "...you. I was thinking of you as well, Senku."

Senku was taken by surprised then he rubbed the back of his neck to hide his flustered reaction.

"The brain burns through 400 calories in a day, so over 3,700 years, that sums up to 2 terajoules." [Y/n] muttered in thought, and Senku smirked.

"E=mc2" They said in unison.

"There was something in the stone that fueled our brainpower. The nitric acid is reacting to that energy to undo the petrification. If only we had alcohol to make Nital Etch and speed up the process." [Y/n] rambled while Senku smiled a bit. Her eyes basically sparkling when finding the answer.

He loved to see her so focused on figuring something out. It reminded him of their usual experiments that they'd so in the science club back in the modern time. Senku loved how her face would brighten when an experiment was a success or when her hypothesis was correct.

"Waaahhh! Someone besides me, Senku and [Y/n] has survived! Who left this here?!" They heard Taiju yell from inside the cave.

"I did, idiot." Senku said.

"It was you?! Are we the only humans left in the world?" Tajiu questioned while watching them walk closer to him. 

"We'll get more humans. That's a top priority. If that doesn't work, then we have [Y/n]." Senku said without missing a beat.

[Y/n] blushed and snatched her hand away from Senku's hand. "Absolutely not!" [Y/n] yelled while the two boys laughed. [Y/n] walked closer to the cup that was filled with nitric acid. "This is the miracle liquid we need...nitric acid." [Y/n] muttered.

"Nitric acid?! What's that?!" Taiju asked while [Y/n] collected the samples.

"I knew you'd say that, you big oaf. I'm not gonna waste time even explaining the gist of it." Senku said.

Once the three of them arrived at the camp, [Y/n] handed Senku the bottle of nitric acid. "So you're saying that this something-or-other acid corrodes the stone and revives them?" Taiju asked.

"If only it were so simple." Senku said while pouring the acid on a stoned Swallow. They waited for a moment, but nothing happened. They sighed.

"We've been trying like a madman, using every method available to me." Senku said. 

"If only we had alcohol..." [Y/n] muttered, and Taiju's eyes widened a bit as he took off his basket.

"Couldn't we make wine out of grapes?" Taiju asked while taking the grapes out of the basket.

Senku smirked. "Not bad, you big oaf." He said.

"How long does it take to make wine?" [Y/n] questioned. 

"Three weeks should do it." Senku responded while holding up three fingers.

Three weeks flew by, and it was time to taste the wine. "You know, Senku, this would count as underage drinking, though." Taiju said while straining the grape skin and seeds out of the wine.

Senku chuckled and raised his wine cup. "Not a problem. We're well over 3,700 years old." Senku said.

"Oh, you're right." Taiju said. Three of them took a sip of their homemade wine. Taiju choked on it while [Y/n] and Senku were a bit surprised at how well it came out.

"Wow, it's not as bad as I anticipated." [Y/n] muttered with looking down at her cup.

"Though it's about ten billion percent time worse than what's on the market." Senku said while [Y/n] nodded in agreement.

"I never knew it was so easy to make with just grapes." Taiju said.

"One step at a time." Senku said with a smirk and ran his fingers through his white and green hair, "Things are about to get more tedious, though. Distilling Wine for Dummies, starting with brandy."

[Y/n] blushed, slightly and her heart rate increased. 'What is he doing to me?' She thought, placing her hand on her chest.

"Distilling, huh? No idea what that means!" Taiju said as they exited the hut. "I knew you'd why that." Senku said.

"We're going to heat it up, cool it down, then drip it into another pot." [Y/n] explained as simple as she could while climbing down.

Senku held out a hand for her to help down. [Y/n] held his hand and hopped off of the last ledge on the ladder. Senku wrapped his other hand on her waist to set her down. [Y/n]'s face flushed a bit more while Taiju was a bit confused about the situation.

Suddenly, they heard a squeal. Senku and [Y/n] turned their heads to see the baby boar running towards them. [Y/n]'s face brightened with joy.

"It's you!" [Y/n] cheered as she let go of Senku as the boar jumped in her arms. "I should get you a name, shouldn't I?" [Y/n] questioned.

"No, don't name it! Then, it'll never leave!" Senku complained. 

"I'll name you, Inosuke."' [Y/n] said and hugged the boar.

'I've lost to a freaking pig!' Senku thought with glaring at the boar.

"Let's get started, shall we?" [Y/n] said.

"Don't worry." Senku said while Tenju brought out a huge pot from the lab. "People from the Mesopotamian Civilization were doing it in 300 B.C. using clay pots. There's nothing you can't do if you try." Senku explained while pouring the wine into the clay pot.

Suddenly, the pot fell apart spraying wine all over Senku. While [Y/n] washed Senku's clothes, Taiju was trying to reassure Senku as Seku built another pot with a look of embarrassment.

Time pasted on. Fall quickly turned into Winter as their work went on. Once it was finally Spring, the team did test after test, but none were a success. All hope seemed to be lost. Until a feather was revived. The teens smiled at each other.

"Now, for the real test." Senku said and took a stone Swallow outside. He placed it on the ground and poured the miracle fluid on top of it.

"Let me teach you, bug oaf...It's not that there are things that science can't explain. You look for the rules beyond those things." Senku began and the stone began to crack. "Science is just the name for the steady, pain-in-the-ass effort that goes into doing it." 

The stone fell off of the bird's eyes. Senku's smirk grew.

The Swallow was revived, and it flew into the air. [Y/n] stared in awe while Taiju cheered. "We did it..." [Y/n] muttered and smiled, "We're going to beat this fantasy with science."

"Yeah." Senku agreed with a smirk.
