012. Deal and the dealer
Power, greed, money.
Kim Taehyung needed these things more than food and water to survive. People perhaps take a lifetime but he was barely fifteen when he discovered a much darker side of himself.
He vaguely remembered how he used to watch how Jimin was stiffening, due to all the harsh training and mental pressure. It was as if they were creating him into a lab, inserting traits they wanted to have in him, blocking away anything that made him soft.
Taehyung still remembered how he had gone to his father, requesting him to don't do this with Jimin because he was losing his...friend. Jimin was becoming distant from him as well. And he also very clearly remembered how his father has snarled at him.
"Your friend?" He had scoffed. "He's barely anywhere near you, Taehyung. We're superiors, you and I."
And so Taehyung had followed his father's footsteps. It had taken him less time to realise that it was always there in him. Some people needed power more than love, the sense of dominance, the feeling of having an upper hand, giving mercy. It fueled Taehyung.
Time had escalated quickly and his desires to empower have come to life. Jimin had become something else too. They were no more two kids running after puppies together.
They had become adults. One a sociopath and another a psychopath. Their relationship had changed as well, what was supposed to be an unbreakable friendship- it never went there. It turned into maddening sex and cigarettes.
Legacies screw people up. Quite literally.
"They took away my friend."
The fifteen-year-old Taehyung had whined to his mother; to which he solemnly cringed now. Pathetic. Pathetic. He thought as he tried to back away his train of thoughts and focused on the list of families he had given a 'loan' to and those ungrateful schmucks still hadn't returned it.
He was feeling this familiar itch. The one he always felt. The itch to intimidate, to threaten. Maybe even murder, he didn't know.
The door of his office opened and Taehyung was ready there to shoot the person who'd come without knocking. His predator-like eyes shot up but it turned into some kind of amusement as he took in the oh-so-sexy man in front of him. The man stood at the gate, he was so well built Taehyung could feel his mouth water.
The Mob boss's lips turned into an amusing smirk, eyes glued to the man in front of him. The man was poking his tongue into his cheek and Taehyung doubted this might be the hottest thing he'd ever seen.
Taehyung rested his chin in his palm, his silver firearm dangling from his fingers as he ogled the man.
"And who might you be?" His voice was thoroughly laced with intimidation, showing off he was Kim Taehyung.
Though the man in front of him stayed utterly indifferent. "Someone who's sent with a message to you." He said confidently. "By Min Jihyun."
Taehyung tried hard not to puke. His lips twitched into a scowl but somehow he was more interested in the guy in front of him rather than what that old hag had to say. He sighed heavily, leaning back into his chair and gesturing towards the chair in front of his desk.
"Have a seat."
But the man with long black hair just rolled his eyes, "look, Mr. Min has said-"
Taehyung stood up, instantly pausing the other lad as he walked towards him. He was already in the room now, standing in the middle of the rather suffocating office. In mere seconds Taehyung has closed the distance between them, watching as the other stopped breathing for a second. The mob boss firmly placed his silver gun under the other's chin.
He would be strong, Taehyung knew, but he also knew that his men would have taken his weapons before making him enter here.
"Sit." He said again, this time much more firmly, his breath washing over the side of the other lad's face and making him flush a bit.
The messenger retreated a step back, avoiding eye contact from the Mafia leader as he scurried towards the chair and sitting on it. Taehyung smirked, reaching behind the lad's chair and resting his hand on the arms of it.
"May I have your name." He husked, smirking above the lad's long ack hair.
"Jeon Jungkook." The voice stayed stiff, even though the mob boss was literally breathing down his neck.
"Jeon Jungkook, my pleasure." He confessed, walking towards his own chair and sitting on it. "And what might your boss have to tell me?"
"Could've cut straight to the topic." He heard Jungkook mumble lowly and internally smirked at his witty behaviour.
"Min Jihyun says there is still a chance to share 50%, Taehyung. Or like this, neither of us will win. We both have leverage against each other-"
He's not leverage! Taehyung's mind shouted back. If he's ever done anything human, was to not treat Jimin like a fucking leverage.
Once again, Taehyung had stood up and once again Jungkook had stopped talking. In two steps, Taehyung had towered Jungkook, his eyes glaring down at the younger.
Pretty, pretty boy.
His long fingers gripped Jungkook's jaw, he didn't mean to do it harshly but calling Jimin leverage offended him.
"Do a thing for me, will you, Jungkook? Tell your boss he can marry my shoe. I don't give Park Jimin as a fucking bait."
Jungkook cracked his neck to the side, his tongue poking his cheek again.
Two seconds.
That's how much time it took Jungkook to throw the mob boss over his desk, Jungkook's strong hand ready to choke his throat. There was a shocked expression plastered on his face, for how quickly the tables have turned.
Jungkook scoffed, their faces were inches apart but that wasn't any of JK's problems.
"You don't scare me Kim Taehyung." He snarled. "Next time try not to be a dick to someone and you actually might have one up to your ass."
There were a few moments where they were looking at each other before Jungkook left his throat, the scowl still evident on his face as he started walking towards the exit.
Taehyung stood up, holding back a cough as he straightened his coat. He coughed twice before looking at JK who was leaving.
"Was that you offering or..." Taehyung almost decided Jungkook would come back and choke him for real this time. He was blazing with flames at the thought of this one overpowering him. But Jungkook just looked over from his shoulder, not even completely turning around as he mumbled a "you wish," before leaving the bureau.
To say the least...Taehyung was intrigued.
