KING'S LANDINGS

Alicent Hightower had pulled back, she had pulled at the troops knowing everyone was dying, and she wasn't going to lose her daughter for this.

Rhaenya had brought Aurelys down while she looked at both Caraxes and Syrax. Rhaenyra looked at her sister with a smile and Daemon helped her down.

She looked over at her soldiers, and then they all bowed down to the respectful Queen. Rhaenya bowed down at her sister once again, "Your grace,"

Rhaenyra looked over at her people, some people were traitors in the realm, and her soldiers followed right by her side as she was followed into the Red Keep.

No one sat on the Iron Throne, it was empty, not Aemond, Aegon, nor was it Daeron.

Daemon stood behind his queen crowning her on the Iron Throne, Rhaenyra looked at her sister, then she finally sat on her throne.

It was her throne to claim in the beginning, yet she had a man take over her, thinking they could underestimate her.

Daemon knew that Aemond and Criston had fled to Harrenhal, he looked at Rhaenya and then at Rhaenyra.

The throne room now only contained the three of them, Rhae looked at his sister and then at Daemon.

"Where is your husband?" Rhaenyra inquired, her gaze piercing as she looked up at her sister.

Rhaenya met Rhaenyra's scrutiny with a demeanor of utmost seriousness.

"Harrenhal," Rhaenya responded, her eyes fixated on the floor of the Red Keep. Anxiety gripped her, well aware that Daemon had recently returned from Harrenhal.

Daemon let out a groan and rolled his eyes. "And left you here?"

Rhaenya offered a nonchalant shrug, her fingers fidgeting with the hem of her dress beneath the armor. "And his daughter."

Daemon arched an eyebrow, his gaze shifting between the sisters. "Your daughter? When did you have time to have a child?" His disbelief hung in the air, questioning the unexpected revelation.

Rhaenya looked at him, with an awkward smile, Elaena walked in with Visenya in her arms.

All heads turned to the lady and baby Princess in her arms and Maris Baratheon followed behind the two.

The Baratheon looked at the Queen and then the Prince, the girls curtsied at the Queen, "Your majesty,"

Rhaenyra looked down at the ladies, it was very tense in the room and no one said anything, the eyes were only on the young baby Princess.

The Targaryen reached out for her mother, and Rhaenya came over to Visenya and picked her up.

"This is Visenya Targaryen," Rhaenya announced, a warm smile gracing her lips as she introduced her daughter to Rhaenyra. The air in the Throne Room held a mix of solemnity and nostalgia.

Rhaenyra's gaze softened, tears rolling down her cheeks. Descending from the Iron Throne, she gently touched her sister's face.

"You have grown up, my little dragon," Rhaenyra whispered, a smile breaking through the emotional moment. "My sweet Vis—Rhaenya."

A profound understanding passed between the sisters. Rhaenya recognized the bittersweet emotions coursing through her, who beheld an elder version of the niece she never had the chance to see grow up.

Visenya, caught during this poignant reunion, offered an awkward smile. Rhaenya, sensing the depth of the moment, kissed her daughter on the cheek.

"May I?" Rhaenyra sought permission, her eyes meeting Visenya's. A soft smile was exchanged between the three in the Throne Room, where only a select few witnessed this intimate family connection.

The Princess gave her sister a gentle smile, "Visenya do you want to go to your dear Queen?" She tickled her daughter a little gently.

The giggles of Visenya echoed across the room and she was gently given to Rhaenyra. Rhaenyra held her niece very close to her.

Visenya gently touched Rhaenyra's braid and gave her a small smile.

"She is very beautiful," Rhaenyra whispered smiling at her and she kissed Visenya on her head.

Daemon came by Rhaenya's side, the Princess looked up at the Prince. Her smile disappeared knowing what he had done to her sister's children.

It was tense, Rhaenya hadn't seen Daemon since the last time she visited them in Dragonstone.

Rhaenya looked at Daemon as she pulled him off to the side. She was quiet, looking at Rhaenyra with Visenya. "Why did you do that?"

Daemon knew exactly what her niece was talking about, Visenya was playing with Rhaenyra, while Maris and Elaena were talking to one another.

"Son for a Son," He whispered, "I promised Lucerys would be avenged,"

Rhaenya was quiet, she didn't say anything back, "You would've killed my son... if I had one right?"

Rhaenyra had heard the conversation that was starting "Enough you two, not right now,"

Rhaenya, hands firmly on her hips, confronted her uncle with a look of intensity. "No, I have one more question. Did you have any part in the orchestrated attempt on my daughter's life?"

Daemon and Rhaenyra exchanged puzzled glances. "What are you talking about?" Daemon inquired, his confusion evident.

"Myseria and Lady Talya," Rhaenya snapped, her tone sharp with accusation, "planned to kill my daughter to cause me pain. Did you have any knowledge of this?" The weight of her words hung in the air, seeking an answer from her uncle.

"Rhaenya we didn't know anything, I promise," Rhaenyra responded, her voice was authoritative and strong.

Rhaenya looked at her and nodded, she reached for her daughter once again. She knew that, yet she was still suspicious.

Rhaenyra touched her sister's cheek, it was very gentle and it was soft. "You, You have grown up very beautifully," She smiled, kissing her sister's cheek, and Rhaenyra held her sister's hand.

""A proud Dragon rider," Daemon whispered, a sense of reverence in his voice. Rhaenya, gazing up at him, offered a small, awkward smile, acknowledging the weight of those words.

Rhaenyra, seated on the throne, looked down at Rhaenya with a mixture of pride and assurance. "This will be yours, all of this," she declared, her words resonating in the vastness of the throne room. "All yours."

"And I would like for Jace to be my King," Rhaenya added, her gaze fixed on Rhaenyra with a confident smirk.

The Queen burst into laughter, a warm and approving response. "Of course," she agreed, sealing the unspoken understanding between them.

The door swung open, and a hushed silence enveloped the room as Alicent Hightower made her entrance.

All eyes turned towards her, and Rhaenyra's smile vanished instantly. Rhaenya tightened her grip on Visenya, her apprehension evident. Daemon's gaze shifted between Rhaenyra and Rhaenya.

Sensing the tension, Rhaenya quickly left Daemon's side, seeking solace with her friends.

The atmosphere was noticeably strained, even Visenya remained silent, her gaze fixed on Alicent, a finger nervously in her mouth.

"I plead with you not to harm any of my children!" Alicent implored, sinking to her knees in a desperate plea. Rhaenyra scoffed, her gaze stern as she regarded the dowager Queen.

Daemon, unable to contain his frustration, spoke out. "You're cunt of a king, where is he?" The accusation hung in the air, but Rhaenyra intervened, halting him.

"Why should I heed your words?" she laughed, defiance in her eyes as she confronted her stepmother. "You dared to usurp my throne!"

Rhaenya, caught in the crossfire, observed the scene with a curtsy before swiftly exiting the room.

She wanted no part in the brewing conflict, turning away while holding Visenya tightly around her arm.

Visenya, seeking comfort, nestled onto her mother's shoulder as they left the tense atmosphere behind, retreating into the sanctuary of their room.

It was quiet only with Visenya breathing heavily and she opened her curtains. Nothing interesting was happening, only people were upset that Rhaenyra had taken the throne.

Daemon's arrival at Rhaenya's room was marked by a solemn knock. Elaena, opening the door, curtsied respectfully to the Prince. The Princess faced her uncle, scrutinizing him as he entered.

"What can I do for you, Uncle?" Rhaenya inquired, her gaze lingering on him. Visenya, recently placed in her cradle, became a silent observer to the impending conversation.

"I am returning to Harrenhal," Daemon declared, his eyes locking with Rhaenya's. "I will fight against your husband."

Rhaenya's arms slowly crossed, her expression resolute. "I can fight my own battles."

Daemon's voice lowered, his words laced with a weighty revelation. "Do you know what Aemond is doing in Harrenhal?" Rhaenya, with a shake of her head, denied the knowledge she feared.

"I don't want to know," she asserted, fear and uncertainty shadowing her features. Daemon looked at her intently.

"I am going back to protect you. I am going to do everything I can to kill him," Daemon stated, holding Rhaenya's hand. She tried to withdraw her hands, pleading with him.

"No, he has kids, Daemon! You cannot, please!" Rhaenya begged, her desperation evident.

Daemon, resolute, continued, "Listen to me, Rhaenya. You are a dragon rider, with the blood of a Targaryen. There are battles I am willing to fight for you, like fighting against the wrongdoings of your husband."

Daemon gently touched Rhaenya's face, his words carrying both urgency and conviction. "I will do this for you."

He embraced her, leaving Rhaenya in shock, grappling with conflicting emotions. "Keep yourself safe," he whispered, kissing the top of her head.

"Daem—Father, what about Rhaenyra? What about Baela and Rhaena?" Rhaenya's eyes pleaded with him. "You have children of your own!"

"They are warriors themselves; they know how to fight. You stand by their side, do you understand?" Daemon couldn't meet Rhaenya's gaze, but she nodded in agreement.

"If I don't make it, I did it for you and your children," Daemon stated as he hugged her one last time, leaving through the door.

Rhaenya watched him depart, pacing around the room.

"He's going to kill Aemond," she uttered, the weight of the impending conflict settling heavily on her shoulders.

Elaena, uncertain how to react, stared at the floor. The weight of the situation bore down on her, knowing that too much stress could jeopardize Rhaenya's well-being.

Rhaenya lay on her bed, a hand resting on her stomach. She gazed upwards, yearning for a respite from the tumultuous events unfolding around her. Yet, amidst the chaos, there seemed to be no reprieve.

Elaena joined her on the bed, fingers brushing through Rhaenya's hair. The princess looked at her friend, a mixture of exhaustion and worry in her eyes. "Is it bad that I don't want Aemond to be dead?"

"He is your husband," Elaena whispered, holding Rhaenya's hand. "Do you love him, or is it for Visenya?"

Rhaenya nervously bit her finger. "For Visenya," she admitted softly, her fear palpable.

It wasn't a lack of hope in her sister as Queen that troubled Rhaenya. Rather, it was the profound fear for the safety of everyone she loved. The door creaked open once again, and Jacaerys entered. Rhaenya looked up from her bed, her eyes meeting his.

The Prince and Princess rushed into each other's arms. "Jace!" Rhaenya's voice softened, holding him close.

"Rhaenya!" he whispered, his hands cupping her cheeks as she smiled at him.

"What are you doing here? It's too dangerous!" Rhaenya trembled, clinging to him. "Your hair!"

"Love, it's alright. I'm going back to the North, keeping myself safe with Cregan," Jace reassured her, his breath labored but sporting a small smile.

Rhaenya gazed down at his lips and eyes, a smile playing on hers. "You're alive!"

Jace returned her smile. "I'm alive, alright. I'll either do what my mother says or go to the North and fight alongside them."

The Princess smiled at her prince, kept her hand on his cheek and she had a small laugh. She was crying along with seeing his face, Jace wiped her tears, "Don't cry on me,"

"I'm trying not to! I am just so happy to see you," She hugged him again and kissed his cheek.

Elaena grabbed Maris and held her hand, "That is Rhaenyra Targaryen's eldest son, Prince Jacaerys Targaryen, of Dragonstone,"

Maris looked at the two bonding, she smiled at Rhaenya and Jace, "It makes sense why she's obsessed with him,"

Elaena laughed standing beside her best friend, "I bet you they will kiss, just watch,"

Rhaenya couldn't get her eyes off of Jace, and the two couldn't pull away from one another before Jace leaned in and kissed her.

Maris and Elaena tried not to freak out for the two of them, and Rhaenya kissed him back, she had longly waited to do this and she finally could.

They separated and kept their foreheads close to one another, she looked at Jace with a smile.

"I—" Rhaenya was breathless, her words caught in the whirlwind of shock. "I love you."

"I know," Jace whispered back, his hands now on her waist. Rhaenya's breathlessness shifted to happiness, a palpable emotion that radiated between them.

In the corner of the room, the two ladies couldn't contain their excitement, squealing with joy. While

Elaena harbored a tinge of jealousy, the overwhelming joy of seeing Rhaenya happy eclipsed any personal feelings.

Rhaenya, still beaming, guided Jace to Visenya's cradle. "I have someone to introduce you to." She smiled and presented Visenya. "This is Princess Visenya Targaryen."

Visenya lay asleep, a serene smile gracing her face. Jace observed the slumbering child, a warm smile forming. "She has your smile," he remarked, turning his gaze to Rhaenya.

Rhaenya blushed under his gaze. "When do you leave for Winterfell?"

"In a couple of days. I need to get things confirmed by my mother, and then I'll be off," Jace confirmed, resting his hand on the back of Rhaenya.

"Say goodbye before you leave! I need you. If we both survive, we may just rule together," Rhaenya expressed, hope infused in her voice. Jace looked at her with a tender gaze.

"Don't get your hopes too high, my love. But we can still get out of this war, okay?" Jace touched her cheek, eliciting a loving smile from Rhaenya. They shared another kiss.

"I'm going to talk to my mother. May I come to visit for supper?" Jace whispered, and Rhaenya, her cheeks blushing, nodded. "That would be lovely."

"I'll be back," he promised with a smile before bowing and leaving her room.

Rhaenya watched him go, then turned back to her friends, her heart still fluttering with the warmth of love and hope.

"SO THAT IS-" Maris clapped her hands in excitement, she looked at Rhaenya and hugged her.

"I KISSED HIM- I-" She was shocked at the state of shock, she was shocked at what had happened.

All the girls hugged one another, it was exciting for all of them and Rhaenya couldn't have been any happier.

She looked at Visenya who was still sleeping and she looked at her friends.

"Do you want to help-"

"UM YES!" They both said and pulled her into her closet and quickly started to dress her for new outfits to wear for her first date back with Jacaerys.

________________

That evening Rhaenya had been dressed, in a blue dress and her hair put down in curls. No one had suspected a thing, as her mother had quite literally forgotten about her existence.

She waited for Jacaerys' arrival at her chambers and soon he had arrived, the door opened. Rhaenya curtsied at him as he bowed back toward her. She smiled, "My Prince,"

"My Princess," He kissed her hand before he helped her to her seat, he pulled it out and she sat down.

Jace sat right across from her and looked at Rhaenya, he started to talk, "How have you been while I was away?"

She looked down at her plate, "Been the worst I have ever been," she murmured she didn't want to make this all about her but the truth had to be revealed.

"Aemond I assume?" He took a sip of his wine, he raised an eyebrow, Rhaenya nodded, she somehow felt horrible talking about him.

"Went through hell and back with him, is it okay if we don't talk about him?" Rhaenya asked, looking at him, she picked at her food before she took a small piece of bread.

Jace nodded, he could feel how uncomfortable Rhaenya was getting on the topic of Aemond, he quickly switched the topic, "Mother said we might have a chance to get married..."

Rhaenya looked at him with an awkward smile, "I don't think that is possible-"

"It surely is," He responded, putting shredded chicken into his mouth. "If we both survive this war, we must ally the Greens and the Blacks, we will make both Rhaena and Baela high members of our council and make Baela lady of Driftmark,"

Rhaenya looked at Jace, her eyes glittering with amusement, "And we can have children of our own?"

"Surely, they will be the next in line to inherit the Iron Throne," He smiled, his hand resting on the table.

She looked at Jace, "I don't want to lose you, ever again, please!" She smiled looking at him, she touched his arm. "Ever,"

Jace got up from his seat and came behind Rhaenya, he gently lifted her chin as he towered over her, "I love you and you will never lose me again,"

His voice was truly promising and he gently placed a kiss on her lips, it was soft and she loved him.

She felt guilty about Aemond, she truly did, and how she always accused him of all cheating... yet she was doing the same thing.

"I love you okay," He whispered, Rhaenya nodded her head, "I love you too,"

Jace slowly removed his hands from Rhaenya and dug something out of his pocket... "Is Elaena here? I need to give something to her,"

"Is it from Cregan?" She smiled in excitement, she brought Jace over to Elaena who was standing with Maris.

"Your Highness," They both curtsied, and the two quickly put down what they were doing.

"No need for that, you are friends of Rhaenya," Jace rolled his eyes laughing, "This is from your brother Cregan,"

It was a necklace, a locket to be specific, Elaena looked up at him with a smile, "Thank you, your grace,"

"It is my pleasure," he smiled at her, "he is very worried for your wellbeing, and wishes you to look out for yourself,"

Elaena nodded, "I will write to him again, I do miss him dearly," She smiled at the Prince, "And if you do go back to Winterfell... please tell him the sad wolf needs their brother."

Jace nodded, "Of course,"

The exchange was small and wholesome and Jace turned to face Maris, "I do not think we have met before,"

Maris curtsied, "My name is Maris Baratheon, daughter of Borros Baratheon," She smiled, " I have heard great things about you,"

The Prince smiled at the lady, "It is a pleasure to meet you today, I hope to get to know Rhaenya's friends more,"

Jace tapped Rhaenya's hand before they turned around and went to her bed chamber doors, "It was nice seeing you again,"

"It was, you must see me before you leave okay?" Rhaenya asked, her voice soft and gentle.

Jace nodded, "I promise," He kissed her cheek and headed out the door, "Goodnight princess,"

"Goodnight Jacaerys," she whispered looking at him leaving, she was blushing and she jumped onto the bed excited.

She squealed putting the bed covers over her head and she just loved having Jacaerys back with her. Rhaenya felt her cheeks hot and super red, she couldn't take it any longer she was just finally happy.

A couple of days went by, and Jace had finally packed his things to head off to The North again, this time he had the right things to prepare for and he made sure to prepare everything on Vermax.

Vermax was growing big and Rhaenya could see him out of her balcony, oh she wondered how her sweet Auerlys was doing.

Rhaenya smiled at Vermax, and she hoped to see Jace before he left, and as she thought of this he did come to see her.

Jace hugged her, picking her up from her feet, "Oh I'm going to miss you!"

"I'm going to miss you," She replied in awe, she touched his curly hair and smiled. "Be safe, and remember what Elaena said, because she wants that delivered."

The prince nodded, "Of course, and The sad wolf needs her brother," He repeated to his Princess.

She smiled and nodded, her hands went to his cheeks and kissed him again, she didn't care anymore what anyone thought. "Be safe," their lips parted.

"I will," He whispered into her, "I love you,"

"I know," She responded, their foreheads touched, a small laugh left Rhaenya and she quickly tapped his cheek. "Go,"

"Okay, okay," Jace gently put Rhaenya down, kissing her cheek one last time. "I will return, I promise!"

A smile lingered on her face as he hurried out of her room.

Rhaenya made her way to the balcony, watching from a distance as Rhaenyra embraced Jace, a tender hug filled with the uncertainty of war.

The Princess wiped away a tear, quickly composing herself.

However, before she could fully collect her emotions, Elaena joined her. "Did you know that Crison died?" Elaena's smirk hinted at a revelation.

Rhaenya turned, her eyes widening. "No shit?!" A genuine smile appeared on her face. "When did you find out?"

"My father sent me a letter to Lord Caswell!" Elaena laughed, holding Rhaenya's hand. "No more Princess Rhaenyra!"

Rolling her eyes, Rhaenya celebrated with gusto. "NO ONE COULD EVER CALL ME THAT AGAIN!" Her jubilant voice echoed in the room, marking the end of a tyrant's reign.

Another raven arrived, addressed to Elaena. As she read the scroll, a sudden concern replaced her previous elation. "No..." She looked distraught.

"El! What is it?" Rhaenya asked, gripping Elaena's hand. "El, what happened?"

"My mother and father are getting attacked... my father sent his troops to fight, my mother followed along, my father... was executed," Elaena collapsed to the floor, holding her letter close.

Rhaenya rushed to her side, placing her on the couch. "My father was executed for not bending a knee to Aegon... my mother died fighting to survive."

Elaena wept into Rhaenya's shoulder. The Caswells, her closest relatives, were now gone, leaving Elaena with no family.

Rhaenya felt the weight of sorrow for her friend, pulling her in closer. "They did it to protect you. You are a Stark and a Caswell; you will always have them in you." She wiped Elaena's tears. "You don't have to be part of just one family."

Elaena clung to Rhaenya for comfort, and as their eyes met, they shared a tender kiss. Rhaenya chuckled, "I don't think I can choose between you and him."

"You don't have to choose. You can always have both of us," Elaena smirked. "I'll be yours while he's away, and you can be his when he is here."

Elaena gave a small laugh, leaning on Rhaenya. "I'm going to miss my parents. They were good people."

"I know they were," Rhaenya whispered. "Taking you in at such a young age, they treated you like one of their own."

Elaena, silent and somber, held back further tears. Rhaenya embraced her, offering solace. The door burst open, and Maris entered, concerned.

"What happened, what is going on?" Maris hurried to Elaena, noticing her sadness.

"My parents are dead," Elaena added with a touch of sarcasm, her eyes sad as she looked at Maris.

"Oh, sweet girl, come here!" Maris hugged Elaena, who leaned onto her shoulder, still holding onto Rhaenya's hand. "They are now looking over you, to keep you safe."

Rhaenya smiled, "Exactly, and they will always be beside you, guiding you through all of your problems."

Elaena smiled at her two friends, bringing them closer with a group hug. The girls, bound by a friendship forged in war, stood united, ready to face the challenges ahead together.

________________

On the eve of his departure from King's Landing to Harrenhal, Daemon meticulously readied himself for the journey.

Rhaenyra's gaze bore into him, a mixture of sternness and genuine concern etched across her face as she questioned his decision.

"Do you truly have to embark on this path?" she queried, her voice carrying the weight of worry. "Remember, Daemon, you are doing this for Rhaenya."

Daemon, clad in his gear, completed his preparations with a steely resolve. "I know," he replied with a cold detachment, meeting Rhaenyra's eyes.

A kiss sealed their fleeting moment together. "I'll dispatch updates once I reach there."

Rhaenyra's unwavering gaze held his. "Send them to Rhaenya, not me. You ride on her behalf," she asserted.

Daemon nodded in acknowledgment, rising onto the back of Caraxes. As he looked down at Rhaenyra, he offered a bow. "My Queen."

Leaving the halls of King's Landing, Daemon departed, mounted on the mighty dragon.

Rhaenyra, a silent spectator, observed his departure, while Rhaenya witnessed the unfolding scene from the balcony.

A conflicted spectacle unfolded—a family torn as Daemon set out to confront Rhaenya's husband in the impending clash.

Rhaenya cradled her swelling stomach, fixating on the fading silhouette of the dragon disappearing into the vast sky.

Elaena's comforting hands intertwined with hers, prompting a thoughtful question.

"Do you speculate on the gender?" Elaena inquired, her expression warm and inquisitive.

With a subtle shrug, Rhaenya replied, "A boy, perhaps? I'm not entirely certain." Uncertainty tinged her words.

"Regardless, we'll cherish and care for the child as our own," Maris chimed in, her hand joining Elaena's in a reassuring gesture.

Rhaenya, taking a deep breath, couldn't help but express the inconveniences of pregnancy. "My breasts are so swollen. Why must pregnancy be so frustrating?"

Elaena, her gaze tender, brushed a strand of hair away from Rhaenya's face. "It comes with being a mother."

Curiosity surfaced in Maris's question, "Do you ever feel scared?"

A hint of trepidation touched Rhaenya's expression as she spoke, "Yes, I fear for who survives and who doesn't. Rhaenyra calls it our battlefield." She gently caressed her stomach.

Leaning against the couch, Rhaenya shifted her gaze to the balcony's view. "I just yearn for this war to conclude, to raise my children in a haven of safety."

"We all share that desire, Rhaenya. Though I lack children, I aspire to safeguard my siblings," Maris affirmed, and together, they absorbed the tranquil spectacle of the sunset unfolding before them.

________________

As the evening unfolded, the entrance to Rhaenya's chambers swung open, revealing the presence of young Princess Jaehaera. A tender call echoed through the room.

"Auntie Rhaenya?" Jaehaera's voice reached out, and Rhaenya swiftly approached, extending a comforting hand.

With Visenya cradled in her arms, Rhaenya took her hand, "What troubles you, Jaehaera?" Her gaze, soft and maternal, met that of her niece.

"Can I spend the night here? I'm scared," Jaehaera confessed, fear evident in her eyes as she looked up to her aunt.

"Of course, my dear. What is it that scares you?" Rhaenya questioned gently, her touch soothing as she kissed Jaehaera's head.

Uneasiness colored Jaehaera's response. "The men. What if they enter my room?" she trembled, seeking reassurance from her aunt.

With a comforting embrace, Rhaenya drew Jaehaera closer. She closed her eyes momentarily, then opened them with a promise. "They won't harm you as long as you're with me. I promise." Leading Jaehaera to her bed, Rhaenya continued, "Stay here; let me put Visenya to bed."

Jaehaera nodded, observing as Rhaenya carefully settled Visenya into her crib. Returning to Jaehaera's side, Rhaenya lay down first, and the young princess followed suit, nestling beside her aunt's arm.

As they settled in, Jaehaera, finding solace, leaned closer to her aunt and drifted into a serene slumber.

Rhaenya, watching over her niece, pressed a gentle kiss to Jaehaera's forehead before succumbing to her peaceful rest.

________________

Upon awakening, Rhaenya discerned an unsettling aura in the room. Jaehaera, still in a peaceful slumber, contrasted sharply with Elaena's visibly distressed countenance.

Observing Elaena's evident stress, Rhaenya addressed her in hushed tones. "El, what transpired?" Her voice carried a quiet intensity.

"We've lost Dragonstone. Aegon has seized it," Elaena reported, her tone laced with both annoyance and nervousness.

A quiet curse escaped Rhaenya's lips, coinciding with a subtle stir from Jaehaera in her arms. "Shhh, it's alright, my sweet girl," Rhaenya comforted, coaxing Jaehaera back into slumber.

"I must speak with Rhaenyra," Elaena declared, meeting Rhaenya's tired gaze.

"Return to bed. We can discuss this later," Elaena suggested, recognizing Rhaenya's exhaustion.

Nodding in agreement, Rhaenya succumbed to sleep.

Hours later, upon waking, she found Jaehaera nestled with Visenya, their laughter filling the air. Stirring from her rest, Rhaenya informed Jaehaera of her brief departure.

"I'm stepping out briefly. I'll be quick, okay?" Rhaenya informed, placing a gentle kiss on Jaehaera's forehead.

"Can I stay here with Visenya?" Jaehaera inquired, her expression adorned with the sweetest smile.

Rhaenya nodded with a smile, "Of course you can, Elaena please watch them."

Elaena nodded, "Go, get all the information you can,"

The Princess nodded before she headed out of her chambers and she went down to the council. She wanted to know what had happened, she walked in and the council was already ballistics.

"I want to know what happened!" Rhaenya stated she looked around and no spots were open, Rhaenyra had one of her men pull her to a chair.

"Aegon fought against Baela, Baela burnt the shit out of him, but now she is in the dungeon," Rhaenyra angrily stated, she was stressed about how stupid she was on letting this happen.

"I am going to Dragonstone then!" Rhaenya stated she wanted to fight, she didn't care what was going to happen, and she was going to kill Aegon.

Corlys Velaryon looked at her, "You are a pregnant young lady, sit down."

Rhaenya was already pissed at the fact Baela was hurt, but her brother was the reason, this was more of a reason to want to kill him. "If someone doesn't kill that usurp anytime soon I will do it myself,"

"You kill Aegon, it will be treason held upon against you," Rhaenyra warned her, Rhaenya shrugged her shoulders.

"WHO CARES! LET IT BE TREASON AGAINST THE USURP!" Rhaenya yelled, "He is the worst thing that could happen to this family, understand that!"

Rhaenyra was stressed, now even more stressed knowing how Rhaenya was upset that her brother hadn't been dead yet.

"How many more dragons until he is dead?" Rhaenya asked, "Because he has been burned by more than one and he is breathing, I want my dragon to be the last!"

She eyed everyone at the council table, and she looked at Rhaenyra. "I want to kill Aegon."

Rhaenyra looked at her sister putting her hand on her forehead before Rhaenya stormed out of the room and slammed the council door.

When she returned to her chambers Rhaenya told Elaena and Maris everything that she heard from the council and what had happened to Dragonstone.

Rhaenya sat down at her desk, while her friends played around with her daughter and niece, she planned away to kill her fucking brother.

That day turned quickly before everyone was asleep including Jaehaera once again sleeping in her chambers, Rhaenya quickly found a good way... to kill her brother before she climbed into her bed.

She prayed that this plan was going to work shortly, as she closed her eyes and hoped for the worst possible outcome for her brother.

22nd Day of the 5th Moon:

Rhaenya had been carrying this child for about four moons now and her stomach was rounded.

She hated carrying this child for one too many moons as she thought, yet she had another 5 moons to go.

This pregnancy had been much harder on the young Princess than her first child, more sickness, she was quite literally on bed rest.

Her sister Rhaenyra had visited her multiple times to tell her what had been going on at the court.

Rhaenya listened, it was unfair how much unfair treatment her sister got compared to the things her brother had done.

She found it unfair that Rhaenyra had to beg for money that her brothers had spent all the war money on.

Jaehaera had come to stay and visit a lot, she loved being with Visenya and her aunt as they got to know each other better.

They bonded better than ever, and Jaehaera was able to gain her trust back.

Rhaenya put her book down as she looked up, "Elaena, I think I am going to go visit Helaena,"

Elaena put on the clothes that she was folding, "Do you want me to go with you?" Her voice had a sense of concern in tone.

"I should be fine she is only two doors down," Rhaenya smiled pulled herself out of her bed and got her cloak on.

She opened her door and put her hand on her back, waddling to Helaena's room.

Rhaenya took a deep breath before she knocked on her sister's door, "Hel?"

No response, Rhaenya was concerned for her sister, as she had not let her see her for the past month.

"Helaena, it's Rhaenya," She whispered, leaning her head against the door, hoping that her sister would respond.

Helaena slowly opened the door, nothing could be seen, her chambers so dark. Rhaenya looked at her sister with a tear in her eye, "Helaena,"

"Rhaenya," She whispered, Rhaenya looked at Helaena again and she let her younger sister in.

Helaena was a mess, she was so skinny and she looked awful, Rhaenya cried for her sister hugging her. "Hel, you need to eat,"

"No Rhaenya, I do not, I am doing just fine," She whispered, Helaena held on to Rhaenya, and leaned on her shoulder. She looked at the view outside of her window. "It is very pretty outside,"

"Helaena please?" Rhaenya looked at Helaena with her hand resting on her sister's cheek, Helaena didn't say anything, only staring at the window.

"Only a matter of time before things go downhill..." She whispered, her dreams coming to her. "King's Landing will have a new queen by nightfall..."

She slowly turned to Rhaenya, "Look out for Jaehaera for me. Please?"

Rhaenya got to the floor, begging, "Helaena, no we have time to save, please! I need you,"

Helaena looked at Rhaenya with a smile, "King's Landing will have a new queen by nightfall..."

"Helaena," Rhaenya's voice was breaking, with tears filling her eyes "Please! What are you saying!"

Helaena smiled at her sister, "Promise me, to look out for Jaehaera, do you understand?"

Rhaenya looked up at her sister, "I promise, but please you can't leave me,"

Her sister closed her eyes and she didn't look at Rhaenya, the Princess sobbed as her sister ignored her words. "Hel please,"

Helaena shook her head, talking to her was useless but Rhaenya kept trying nothing.

Helaena looked at her sister once last time and touched her face, "You have grown up so beautiful,"

She looked at her sister, she was sobbing as she held onto Helaena, this was their final days together.

Rhaenya didn't know how it was going to end, but it was the last ever hours together with her sister.

Shortly Helaena asked Rhaenya to leave her room and Rhaenya did as her sister commanded, she didn't want to make this any worse.

The Princess towards her chambers, as she was sobbing and felt a sharp going through her abdomen.

"No- No!" Rhaenya held her breath before she held the walls for support going to her room. "Get the Kids out!" She screamed as she could feel her back collapsing, she touched her leg.

She turned to Elaena with tears in her eyes, "The baby's coming,"

Elaena quickly came to her side and undid her dress, she untied everything, leaving Rhaenya only in her chemise.

Rhaenya screamed in pain as Maris quickly got the children out of the room.

"No can't lose this kid, Mother will be ma-" She groaned in pain holding onto the nearest thing to her. "It's too early!"

She screamed trying to hold in the pain, her eyes closing as Elaena stepped closer to try to help her.

Rhaenya's screams went across the castle, she was in terrible pain as her whole body felt like knives going through her.

Alicent walked in, she saw her daughter on the floor with blood on her chemise. "What happened?"

"I want Rhaenyra! GET OUT!" She screamed crying, trying to push the child from coming back out. She didn't want to disappoint her mother.

"Rhaenya let me help!" her mother got down to her side, Rhaenya pushed her arms away, "GO!"

Rhaenya couldn't handle this as she tried to keep the baby from not coming out, she screamed in pain, it was worse than giving birth to Visenya.

A raven flew in as she screamed and it delivered a message to Rhaenya.

She knew it was from Daemon and she read it, she reread it and she cried even more, as it had triggered more of her miscarriage to go faster. She threw the paper at her mother to read, "I HATE YOU!"

The princess in pain screamed her mother's face in pain, in pure anger as she never wanted to be married to Aemond.

She knew her mother wanted the best for her, but look what her life had turned into.

Alicent took the message and she read it, Aemond had gotten a woman named Alys Rivers pregnant.

Rhaenya felt sick as she could feel more of the baby coming, she screamed holding onto the arm of her chair.

"Don't make it come out!" She begged to cry as Elaena looked at Rhaenya, "We don't have a choice, Princess."

The door opened again and Rhaenyra walked in, "Oh sweet girl!" Rhaenyra quickly came beside Elaena and Rhaenya.

"Rhaenya, listen to me, you need to breathe," Rhaenyra told her sister, she touched her forehead. "Breathe,"

Rhaenya did as she was told, but her tears were choking her from breath, Alicent wiped her daughter's tears, "Breathe,"

She was sobbing while hyperventilating, she was disappointing Aemond, and she knew that she did.

Rhaenya let out the most terrifying scream possible as more blood came out and the child finally came out.

She pushed everyone away and looked at the Dragonscale child. She let out a small gasp, seeing that it was a boy.

She held her son close to her, "Please live, do it for Aemond! Please!" She begged, she had failed him by not leaving him with a male heir.

Alicent's pure reaction was pain, she had realized what she had caused to her little girl, thinking that her son needed a male heir.

Alicent fears truly sorry for Rhaenya, not knowing what to do. She was traumatized as she held her daughter close to her.

Prince Aemon, that was what Rhaenya named him, he barely lived at all, but in the arms of Rhaenya, she held him closely.

Rhaenyra quickly got up, "Rhaenya, I am so sorry," she whispered into her sister's ear, something was up and she knew it. Rhaenya knew what had happened and she cried even more into her boy.

"Helaena's dead," Rhaenya whispered, holding their breath and looking at her mother.

Rhaenya knew she felt her sister's death. She sighed looking at her mother with tears in her eyes.

Alicent looked up at Rhaenya before she got up and went towards Helaena's room.

Alicent screams were heard as she had seen her daughter on the spikes of the castle, dead.

Rhaenya cried into Elaena's shoulders, "I couldn't save either of them! Not Helaena or Aemon! I tried- and now Rhaenyra going to get the blame!"

Her voice was breaking per word, harder and harder to understand her, Elaena tried her best to calm her down.

Elaena held onto her, "Breathe, you need to breathe," It was two broken girls grieving, the loss of their family.

Another Raven arrived, and it landed beside Elaena and she opened it. She quickly read it, before she looked at Rhaenya, "Aemond and Daemon are both dead,"
