KING'S LANDINGS

"Spoiled Cunt," Ser Criston muttered under his breath as he left the Princess's room, he picked up Aemond, "What has gotten into you!"

"I didn't do anything!" Aemond spit right into his face, "She started everything, fucking bitch,"

Alicent flattened out her dress, looked at Aemond then appeared in front of him and squeezed his cheeks. "That is your is your wife, that is your sister, you are supposed to take care of her not slander her! Get a hold of yourself!"

Daeron glared at his brother, his fist hurt from hitting him way too hard, "Rhaenya didn't do anything!"

"She's being ungrateful like she always is!" Aemond rolled his eyes at his mother, "You should've put her in her place from the beginning!"

Rhaenya could hear all of them from her closed door, she was furious and she stopped Elaena from undoing her dress. She walked over to the door and opened it, "You know I can hear you guys right?"

Aemond looked at his sister, "You deserve to hear it,"

Her face didn't drop while looking at him, she glared at him and then looked at her mother, "You don't protect me from anything or anyone. You are a horrible mother,"

"I- I do protect you," Alicent claimed, but she was caught in her lie.

"One day, you will all suffer greatly and I will be the one to take the Iron Throne until then live to the best," She glared at all the people in front of her, then she slammed the door and went back to getting ready for bed.

She looked at herself in the mirror, touched her body, and then held back another tear. Everyone outside her room underestimated her because she was the youngest and a girl.

She wanted to pack her things and go to Dragonstone but that wasn't possible at the moment.

Elaena had been holding herself together in the corner of the Princess's bed chambers. No words were said between the two of them as she quietly looked away, knowing that the people outside beside Prince Daeron were awful.

She watched as Princess Rhaenya put herself in her nightgown lay herself down and went to sleep. Elaena quietly said "Goodnight,"

The Princess responded quietly to her friend, "Goodnight to you too Elaena, I love you,"

"I love you too," She whispered before she curtsied at Rhaenya and headed to her bedroom which was located right next to Princess's room.

Each lady had their way of getting out, she went to her chambers and held herself together.

Once she arrived in her chambers she started to break down in tears, she held her chest as she cried. She remembered the day that she served Queen Alicent before she was dismissed to go serve Princess Rhaenya.

She knew why and she never said anything about it because she knew she would've been silenced.

Elaena had always served the Queen and her kids, taking care of Aemond, Daeron, and Rhaenya.

Aegon got older when she would go put his clothes in his drawers, he would personally touch her inappropriately.

That she never told anyone about. He did come on her and she was silenced, was she silenced or did want to be silenced? She didn't know.

She was only 15 at the time, which was only a couple of years ago she was slightly closer in age to Prince Aemond but wasn't friends with either one of the Princes.

She hated thinking about him and his name, she wanted to kill him if she had to.

Her mother and father never knew about it, she was too afraid that the Queen would intercept her letter.

She just had to get a letter out now or never, it had to be told. She was silenced for too long and someone had to know.

Elaena wiped her tears before she got up to her desk and as she sat down, she grabbed a scroll and ink. She began to write to her dear brother Cregan Stark.

Dear Cregan,

I do not know if you still remember me, it is your half-sister Elaena Snow. I am here at King's Landing with the Greens and I need to be saved. Every time I look at Alicent Hightower's face, I see her sons. If I stay here any longer I don't know if I can make it alive. He will kill me, he looks at me with anger as if I have done something wrong. Brother please come save me, send a fleet I need to Flee with Princess Rhaenya. Please tell Prince Jacaerys hello, if he is still there please look out for him because Princess Rhaenya needs to marry him.

-

Your Sister Elaena Snow.

She sighed as she put it on the crow before she let it out her window, she took a deep breath, looked out the window and cried.

Her door was shaking with knocks and she didn't want to open it but eventually, the door opened by itself. The devil walked in, she looked at him with fearful eyes, and Aegon looked at him with a drunken smile.

"If it isn't my favorite lady in waiting," he teased looking at Elaena as he stepped closer to her.

"Get out," Elaena begged to hold her breath, "Please get out,"

Another tear rolled down her face as she looked at him, He smirked at her and licked his lips.

"That's no way to treat a King, is it now a little girl," He touched her chin, Elaena couldn't breathe, she wanted to die right then and there.

She barely could see him, her candle was going out and she couldn't see anything. He lifted her skirt as Elaena closed her eyes to get rid of the pain, and then baby Visenya started to cry which echoed throughout the room.

Rhaenya had gotten up and she took Visenya into her arms as she carefully rocked her, but she wouldn't stop crying.

The Princess looked for Elaena, but couldn't find her, so she decided to go to her chambers with Visenya to ask for help.

"Elaena?" Rhaenya asked, opening the door, she had a candle in her face, only to see Aegon behind her.

She was utterly shocked, she stepped backward, she had to take action immediately. "WHAT THE FUCK!"

Aegon looked up to see his sister, "What the fuck get out!"

"No. GET OFF OF HER!" Rhaenya yelled as she continued to rock Visenya repositioned her in her arms.

Finally, the little babe stopped crying, but Rhaenya was traumatized by what she had just witnessed.

the drunk king groaned as he put Elaena's skirt down and she was crying, Rhaenya took her into her arms.

Elaena was crying as she cried into the Princess and Aegon stormed out as he couldn't get the pleasure he needed. She looked up at Rhaenya, "Don't tell her,"

"Tell who?" Her voice was cold and she brought Elaena to her room.

"Queen Alicent, she will send me with money, she will do that to me and I cannot lose you!" Elaena whispered as she looked down at the floor, "I don't want to leave you!"

She shook her head, she was shaking and Rhaenya put Visenya down in her crib. "How long has this been going on?"

Elaena was silent, she couldn't look at the Princess her eyes glued to the floor she whispered, "Two years,"

A gasp let out from Rhaenya's mouth and she looked at Elaena as she paced herself around the room. "How did I not know why am I so stupid!"

"It isn't your fault," Elaena whispered she wanted to just be asleep. Rhaenya came behind her and hugged her, "I'm so sorry,"

"You couldn't have done anything about it," She whispered, Rhaenya wiped her tears and the Princess took her friend to her bed.

"You can sleep here for now," Rhaenya whispered as she opened up her blanket, Elaena looked at her and nodded.

The two kept a distance from one another as Rhaenya blew out her candle and soon the room was dark.

Elaena held in her cries as her body ached, she reached for Rhaenya's hand and the Princess held it.

KING'S LANDING

At least a good couple months had passed since Visenya was born and she was strong... and healthy, her dragon egg had hatched and it was one of the most adorable dragons Rhaenya had ever seen.

The following day, as Aemond and Aegon prepared to gear up for battle, Rhaenya emerged beside Aemond, swiftly diverting him from their brother.

In her arms, Visenya observed the scene with innocent curiosity.

"You knew, didn't you?" Rhaenya snapped at him, her eyes locking onto his, a stern tone cutting through the air. Aemond, raising an eyebrow, removed a glove to gently touch Visenya's puffy cheeks.

"Knew what?" he inquired, his gaze shifting between Rhaenya and the child in her arms.

"Aegon and Elaena," she clarified, her tone unwavering as she looked at him.

"Aegon and Helaena, you mean?" Aemond corrected a flicker of confusion in his expression. Suddenly, realization dawned on him, and he acknowledged, "I've known."

Rhaenya, taking a deep breath, fixed her gaze on him. "And no one thought it was right to tell me?"

"Elaena should've told you," Aemond admitted in a hushed tone, his eyes carrying a mixture of regret and understanding. "It is her matter."

The weight of the revelation lingered in the air as Rhaenya grappled with the newfound knowledge, Visenya nestled in her arms, a silent witness to the complexities unfolding within the family.

"She was too scared that mother was going to send her off, if I find out that you know more about my ladies being harmed by our brother, I will kill both of you!"

Aemond's mouth curled in a somber expression before he averted his gaze. Taking Visenya gently from Rhaenya's hands, he looked down at the child in contemplative silence. "I'll be back," he stated, his voice carrying a weight that resonated through the room.

Rhaenya winced as he spoke, the unspoken tension lingering between them. Retrieving Visenya, she held her daughter with a mixture of tenderness and concern, her eyes locking with Aemond's for a moment. "I have to say something..."

There was a silent exchange, that caught Aemond's eye... as he looked back at his wife. "Speak..."

She reached out of for his hands, struggling to say this, "Besides what happened in our family.. after Jaehaerys died..." The princess stuttered to speak. "Aegon came into my room.."

Aemond's reaction tightened... as he looked directly in her eyes, "And said what?" His voice was low, almost a growl, filled with a mix of anger and curiosity.

"He came into my room and said he was going to kill my firstborn son," Rhaenya whispered, her voice trembling. She felt the anxiety rise in her body, her heart pounding faster.

Aemond's eye darkned with fury upon hearing Rhaenya's words. He took a deep breath... "Aegon said this?" His voice a dangerous whisper.

She nods... looking at her husband... Aemond's eye traveled to Aegon... "He will regret ever uttering those words."

The prince kissed his wife on the cheek, as he mounted onto Vhagar as he gripped the reigns as left. Rhaenya watched with a heavy heart as Vhagar soared into the sky, disappearing on the horizon.

Clutching Visenya close, she made her way to the cradle, carefully placing her daughter within it. The dragon egg, still dormant, awaited the day it would hatch, and Rhaenya found hope in the certainty of its impending arrival.

As she removed her gloves, the weight of the impending war pressed heavily on her shoulders.

Rhaenya, torn between the desire to be on the battlefield supporting her brothers and the responsibility of protecting her daughter, grappled with the internal conflict.

Lost in thought, she observed her sleeping child, the innocence of Visenya.

Amidst the chaos of war, Rhaenya couldn't ignore the peculiar circumstance of her marriage to Aemond, resulting in the birth of Visenya.

The young girl just couldn't believe this was happening. She was already having her first child...

Elaena had appeared behind her with a weak smile, she had still not recovered from the incident. She sat down next to Rhaenya and held her hand, "What are you thinking about?"

Rhaenya gazed downward, tilting her head as if contemplating the passage of time. "It feels like just a moment ago that Visenya came into the world..."

The Lady raised a discerning eyebrow, her expression reflecting the wisdom of someone who had witnessed the relentless march of time. "Time moves swiftly," she acknowledged with a thoughtful nod.

The Princess, with a nonchalant shrug, leaned on her friend's head, a brief respite from the weight of the world. "Oh well," she remarked, her voice carrying a mix of weariness and acceptance. "I just want all of this to be over."

A hushed whisper escaped the Lady's lips, bearing the weight of shared grievances. "We all do. I want your brother dead."

Rhaenya responded with a rueful laugh, a moment of dark humor shared between them. "Me too."

A raven had arrived through Rhaenya's window and it was her raven she turned to look at Raven who had a message and the raven dropped it in her lap.

Rhaenya raised her eyebrow and she saw a pretty ribbon that was tied, she looked at Elaena.

Elaena shrugged and Rhaenya opened it up. A letter from Jace from Winterfell, Rhaenya blushed that her favorite nephew had finally reached out.

Dear Rhaenya,
I know this has been tough, but I hope everything is alright at King's Landing.... I have heard about my brother Luke and I hope you are doing okay. By this time I am assuming you had your beautiful child, I hope it is healthy. I hope to see you soon.

- Jacaerys Velaryon-Targaryen, Prince of Dragonstone.

Rhaenya smiled and tucked the letter away, she was smiling ear to ear, and the door opened. Both heads went towards the door and Alicent walked in, both girls curtsied and kept their heads down.

"Madam," Rhaenya whispered, staying curtsy, she didn't say anything else but had her eyes on the floor.

"Your majesty," Elaena whispered, she felt as if something was stuck in her throat. She was shaking.

"Lady Elaena and my daughter," She greeted them. There was an awkward tension in the room, Alicent did have something to say but didn't know how to bring it up.

Both girls had their suspicions and prayed that they were both completely wrong, Alicent let them get up from their curtsy and brought them over to the table.

Alicent sat first then the two girls followed, as they both put their hands in their laps looking at the Dowager Queen.

"Why was Aegon near these corridors last night?" Alicent calmly asked, she knew it was one of the girls who could've been harmed.

Rhaenya looked at Elaena and Elaena looked back at Rhaenya, the two girls looked at each other in silence.

The Dowager Queen tilted her head looking at the two of them, "You both know something,"

Elaena looked away, she didn't want to tell the Queen what had happened that night. She was going to be sent away like Dyana and that's not what she wanted.

"Lady Elaena, do you wish to say something?" Alicent questioned her, Elaena could feel tears filling up her eyes quickly.

"He... came to my chambers..." She hesitated to speak, the room was intense and she couldn't make eye contact with Alicent.

Rhaenya also felt her body stiffen, she looked at Elaena, then at her mother, "She hasn't told anyone!"

Alicent looked at Rhaenya, "Looks like she did,"

"No, I walked in on them! She is innocent of all charges, you will not force her to leave!" Rhaenya demanded, her voice was louder and she looked at her mother. "You will not get rid of her, pay her to leave, she is a Stark,"

Elaena looked at the Princess and then to the Dowager Queen with a teardrop rolling down her face, "I didn't ask to be raped,"

Alicent couldn't say anything, she looked at her daughter, "She is a bastard, a Snow, her brother Cregan has forgotten all about her,"

Rhaenya was going to swing at her mother, she was full of rage, and before anything, Visenya started to cry, "I think it is time for you to fu- leave,"

Elaena looked at the Queen once more, Alicent handed her a bag of money, "For your troubles,"

"I won't accept," She handed it back, "I haven't told anyone, anything you hear about my problems done by his majesty is a lie. Everyone has gotten it twisted. For years I have been raped and harassed, but hadn't said a word, the truth, in scarce that I will ruin his reputation."

Alicent wanted to hug the girl, but not even a touch before the lady flinched, Elaena looked at the Queen. "I don't need apologies unless it is from the King himself, and I will not leave her Highness's household until she excuses me,"

Rhaenya looked at her mother as she comforted Visenya, Alicent nodded and got up, "Well then, I-," She didn't know what to say before she grabbed her skirt and left the room.

Elaena wiped her tears away, and spoke up, "My brother will know soon, I sent him a raven,"

The Princess had a smirk on her face, she hugged her friend. She looked at her with a big grin, "Another war will begin,"

Visenya was a happy child for a time like this, Rhaenya and her waited outside in Dragon gear for the arrival of Aemond.

Ser Criston arrived first greeting the Princess with a sarcastic smile and looking at Visenya with another smile. Rhaenya rolled her eyes as finally Vhagar was seen and Aemond had arrived at King's Landing.

Rhaenya had noticed the loss of the soldier, "We killed that weak bit-," He smirked his mouth smiling and he noticed Visenya, "I mean- um the woman,"

"Rhaenys?" Rhaenya was still shaken by the news. "I hope it was fun killing so many innocent people."

She snapped right at him, that day she should've been there fighting alongside Rhaenys. She regretted not being there.

"She was on the side of that whore, and she was a traitor to the realm," He told her, he took his glove off and gently touched Visenya's cheeks.

Rhaenya held Visenya closer to her when Aemond touched her, he looked at her and then looked back down at his daughter.

"What happened to Aegon?" Mentioning his name made her feel shit, then Rhaenya saw his body, she bit her lip and tried not to laugh.

Aemond looked at Rhaenya, he gave her a little smirk as he looked at his wife. The princess covered her mouth realizing what Aemond had done just for her... and possibly Elaena. Rhaenya wrapped her arms around him... "Thank you," She whispered.

The two of them watched as Aegon carried getting ushed to get medical help. Rhaenya held Aemond's hand... before she had to tell Elaena immediately. Before she could, Elaena came out herself as she greeted both Aemond and Rhaenya... and then Visenya.

"Hello, Princess!" Elaena booped her nose as Visenya let out a small laugh.

Rhaenya harbored unspoken sentiments about Rhaenys, recognizing her as a valiant warrior and a true queen. Despite the unsaid words that could jeopardize her safety, she took solace in the belief that Rhaenys was now with her children.

Her gaze shifted to Visenya, a living reminder of Rhaenys, and a question hung in the air.

She directed her inquiry at Aemond, her voice tinged with concern, "If Aegon is injured... what's next?"

Aemond met her gaze, assuring, "I will hold a council meeting, and we will decide who can be prince regent." His eyes shifted to Visenya, who smiled in the comforting embrace of her mother.

"You?" Rhaenya questioned, momentarily surprised, her eyes seeking confirmation from her husband.

Aemond, drawing Rhaenya into the castle, positioned his face close to hers. His words carried promises "I will get you all the revenge that Aegon has caused for you, I am your husband. I will do anything to make you feel safe and protect our daughter,"

Stepping back, he locked eyes with Rhaenya, leaving her momentarily frozen, before proceeding to initiate the council meeting.

Rhaenya, cradling Visenya, turned to Maris and Elaena. "I have to go to a council meeting. Get Jaehaera back to her chambers," she instructed, her tone carrying a mix of responsibility and concern.

Curious, Elaena's hands delicately ran through Jaehaera's hair as she inquired, "What's going on?"

"Concerning matters about who will take Aegon's place while he's injured," Rhaenya whispered, smiling down at Jaehaera, the weight of responsibility evident in her eyes.

Entering the council chambers with Visenya in her arms, Rhaenya positioned herself beside Aemond. She made eye contact with her mother.

The men in the room, including Ser Criston Cole, cast inquisitive glances her way. Cole, in his characteristic disdain, scoffed, "What is she doing here? And the child?"

Rhaenya's glare met Cole's disdain, and she asserted with unwavering confidence, "I am Prince Aemond's wife, and his daughter will have more class than you will ever." The room, momentarily tense, awaited the proceedings of the council meeting.

Prince Aemond cleared his throat, as he glared at Ser Criston Cole. "While his King is quite in critical condition we need someone to secure his throne,"

Ser Tyland Lannister fixed his gaze upon Aemond, his words carrying the weight of responsibility. "Then we will appoint you as Prince Regent, and your chosen heir?"

Aemond's eyes sought out Rhaenya, a silent acknowledgment passing between them.

The unspoken truth lingered – Visenya wouldn't ascend to heirship anytime soon. "Prince Daeron," he declared, his voice firm.

Rhaenya nodded in subtle agreement, her hand hovering protectively over the now babbling child in her arms.

Concern etched across her features, she voiced the question that loomed over them. "What becomes of the crown...?"

The crown of Aegon the Conqueror sat at the center of their deliberations. Aemond reached for it, claiming it for himself as he placed it atop his head. "I shall wear it," he announced, the emblem of power now adorning him.

Visenya, in her innocence, gazed up at the crown and its jewels in awe. Rhaenya couldn't help but cringe at the sight. "It looks hideous on you," she remarked candidly.

Undeterred, the newly appointed Prince Regent lifted Rhaenya's hand, pressing a kiss to it. Yet, despite the gesture, Rhaenya's gaze held a silent proclamation – this crown changed nothing, and the weight of the past still lingered between them.

A/N: my least favorite chapter to write ever. even if it's a rewrite.
