Zaira Nereida, a Corporalki in the Grisha Second Army feels the tensions of the upcoming war that is quickly approaching. At a young age when she was ripped away from her family she has had no other choice but to be loyal to Ravka, its army and general. However, when the long awaited Sun Summoner is brought to the Little Palace events begin to unravel in ways that Zaira finds herself conflicted on which side will be the one that promises her the safety that she craves and which is the right thing to do.

Princess Odette Lanstov must prepare to marry the prince of Novyi Zem in the upcoming months a duty that she both accepts and dreads. She does not have her older brother's greed and carelessness or her younger brother's free spirit, leaving her simply do the duties that are asked of her. One of those duties includes a visit to the dangerous Ketterdam a place known for sin and crime in ever corner. Oddly enough Odette is not very surprised to find herself kidnapped by a trio of young criminals with an unknown objective.

Author's Note: I have always loved this series but the show has really pushed to write in this world. And I am absolutely in love with the characters and plot I have created and hope that you all love this story as much as I do. As far as love interests go you might have an idea, but my plans may change as I write. As of right now I plan to mostly follow the events of the show, possibly including some elements from the books. There will be some minor changes to what occurs within the show mostly within The Crows storyline, but nothing too drastic.
