Hurt

I thought of exploring their (Zach and Aaron's relationship) further, and it's just so messed up in my head :'3

Anyways, here's another chapter with crappy title #2

*

"Where the fuck does he go every single fucking day?" Zach slammed his notebook on the table, abruptly standing up. Aaron made a noise of somewhat startled and scared by his outburst and scurried away from the taller boy.

He understood, much later to his dismay, proposing the idea of the three of them studying together was the not the best of his generally extraordinary decisions. But he thought, maybe, maybe this time Scar wouldn't decline and actually spend some time with them. But alas, Scar declined on that offer again. Aaron decided to let it go, but Zach wasn't that easy of a person to just let something go.

"H-home m-maybe?" Aaron tried to fill in, but he seemed to only anger him more.

"Home? Fuck no, I called his mom and she said he's not fucking home and he doesn't come back until 9. That's just too late for him to involve in any jobs good." Zach muttered. "Is he doing something illegal?"

"Wh-what? Scar wouldn't do anything bad," Aaron insisted again.

Zach cocked his eyebrows, and turned towards him. "You seem to know a lot about him, don't you?" He chided.

"We-well, I've been there with him longer than you," Aaron said softly.

"Do you know him more than me?" Zach asked after a moment of silence. Suddenly, the atmosphere became quieter, and Aaron didn't like it at all. He felt like they were crossing the boundaries, the lines of friendship that he had built for years and he couldn't do anything to prevent it. Yet, he kept silent.

"Say it. Do you know him more than me?" Zach slashed again, firmer this time.

"I....I.....Why does it matter?" Yes, Aaron was confused. More than he should. He felt his heart beating in a way it should never, at least not for his friend. But it did, it slammed against his chest, as if it would explode any moment.

"Fuck the reasons. Just tell me, do you know him more than me?" Zach's voice got lower, and he slowly stepped towards the confused boy. Aaron's eyes widened when he felt Zach's strong, muscular arms caving him between the table and his chest, leaving him almost no escape.

Zach whispered again. "Do....you want to know him more than me?"

It wasn't Aaron. This time, Zach was testing the waters, trying the boundaries of their friendship. He was risking it all, but he was furious and furious Zach only followed his heart. If his heart said, get closer to Aaron, he would fuck the rationalities and do just that.

Aaron felt his heart trying to break through and he was sure that Zach could hear his extremely loud heartbeat.

"Za-Zach, I-I....." Aaron stuttered, his eyes fluttering throughout the room, not quite able to look into Zach's burning gaze. Suddenly, his lithe body shivered, as a rough finger trailed down his earlobe, tracing down his jawline, then sketching along his collarbone. Aaron held his breath as his finger moved up again and ghosted over his tightly closed lips.

"Tell me, Aaron." Zach whispered, his breath fanning over his ear as he moved closer to him.

"I-I.....I'm going home." Aaron stood up abruptly, and almost dashed out of his house leaving his belongings behind.

Back in the scene, Zach slid down the chair where Aaron sat previously, and treaded his fingers through his hair, swapping it back.
He heaved out a sigh and let his head rest on the back of the chair.

"What...was...I doing? What just happened?" He placed his hand over his heart only to find it beating erratically. He didn't know whatever the fuck it was, but something was not right. He was finding it difficult to comprehend the situations and closed his eyes with a thousand thoughts running through his head.

*

"Why? What did he mean?" Aaron paced around his room, trying to calm his heart. It was ridiculous. So very much ridiculous. He shouldn't feel such a way towards his close friend. It was avaricious, lecherous and shameful. It was.......so painful.

A vibration through his jeans pocket made him stumble back from his thoughts and right on his bed. Fumbling with his phone, he clicked the green icon without checking the caller id.

"Y-yes?"

"I'm sorry." Someone whispered from the other and Aaron needn't listen to that voice twice to know who it was.

Gulping, he softly said, "Why're you sorry?"

"I don't know what got over me, it was foolish. So, whatever happened, whatever left my mouth in that room, let it stay between us, and" He said, and Aaron held his breath. "And if possible, let's forget. Okay?"

Aaron felt something pierce through his heart, stopping its once loud beating. He plopped down on hus bed, no strength left in his body. Zach just told him to forget. To forget everything that happened. It felt as if he was the only one affected by whatever happened between them. It hurt. It hurt so much. Damn him if he knew why.

"O-okay. Le-let's forget." And with that he hung up, not quite wanting to hear what he has to say.

It has always been like this. Him trying to understand Zach and in turn, getting shunned off even more. He hated it. He hated the thought of being the only one feeling that way. But that's just how everything has been. Since always.

And no matter how much he tried, he couldn't save their friendship alone. Or did whatever they had can be labelled as friendship anyways?

Aaron felt his heart letting go, before he closed his eyes, hoping a sleep would make him forget. If only.

Why do I seem to get worse in writing each day?
