Third Person POV

"Can I invite you to dinner at my house tonight?" Chao asked Plan just as Plan was about to turn the doorknob.

Plan hesitated. Then he remembered all the good food that Chao had laid out for him the last time that Chao had invited him to dinner.

"Sure!" Plan replied.

"Leave your car in the parking lot," Chao suggested. "I will bring you in my car."

"But how will I get home after dinner without my car?" Plan asked.

Chao studied Plan's face carefully before replying.

"We got two options," Chao said slowly and deliberately. "I can bring you home in your car and pick you up in the morning to bring you to work, or, and this I would say is the easier and more convenient option, you could stay overnight at my place and then we can come to work together the next day."

Something was tingling in Plan's brain, some kind of warning signal but Plan decided to ignore it.

"Let's do the second option then," Plan said.

"Wonderful!" Chao said, taking in a deep breath. It seemed like he had been holding his breath during the whole time that he was waiting for Plan to make a decision. "It's all set! See you later after work!"

"See you later," Plan said as he proceeded to report to Tay.

"Come in," Plan heard Tay call out through the closed door of Tay's office.

Plan opened the door and stepped in.

"So what assignment did Chao give you?" Tay asked, taking his eyes away from his computer.

"He wants me to interview the administrator of the agency that's in charge of KinnPorsche the series," Plan replied.

"Did he tell you why he wants you to do that interview?" Tay asked.

"Well, it seems that some aggressive fans chased the main lead's car and made it almost crash into another car during the chase," Plan explained. "P'Chao wants me to ask what new security measures the agency have adopted to make sure that during the succeeding fan meetings the actors would be protected from overly zealous fans."

"That's a good idea," Tay said. "When do you plan to conduct the interview."

"He's gonna call the agency first and try to set an appointment for me this morning, and then he will let me know if today is a go," Plan replied.

"Very well," Tay said. "In the meantime, while you're waiting for Chao to get back to you, I've got some tasks for you to do."

"Sure," said Plan.

"I want you to assist Marc with collating the past articles that we have published," Tay said. "You can use the other computer on his desk. He's got two computers."

"Okay," Plan said, walking out of the room and into the open work area outside of Tay's office to look for Marc's desk.

"Over here," Marc stood up from his desk to wave at Plan.

"How did you know that I was looking for you?" Plan got surprised.

"Tay called me on my desk phone," Marc replied.

"Oh," Plan said, forming a big circle with his lips, making Marc stare at those delicious looking lips.

Right there and then, Marc vowed that the work day was not going to end without Plan agreeing to go on a dinner date with him.
