Byakuya glared at Flare. "What makes you think I killed Kazuichi?" He asked in a threatening tone. "Flare this is going too far don't you think? You just defended our most possible suspect and blame two innocents. Why would Byakuya even kill Kazuichi?" Mahiru asked. "Are you asking for a beat down?" Akane asked, making a fist. "Just listen, I'm sure of it," Flare said but nobody seem to believe her. "Do you even have proof?" Fuyuhiko asked. Flare stayed quiet before nodding. "Well?" Fuyuhiko asked. "It's a lot more complicated to explain just like that. My thoughts are all jumbled up," she explained. "That's not a good argument," Mahiru said. I need to show them proof since they don't believe me.

Ibuki: Ibuki doesn't think that Monsieur Togami didn't do it. Because he was with Ibuki almost the whole time!

Hajime: but where did he go?

Gundam: We still need to consider the blackout. How was he able to walk through pure darkness?

Teruteru: He didn't use the stove because I used it.

Hiyoko: wait so you do admit that you were below in the floorboards?

Teruteru: Flare here already cleared that up for us so there's no point of hidin' it.

Sonia: We didn't see any light so if Byakuya were the killer, he would have had to use some sort of method to see in the dark that we couldn't have seen.

If Byakuya was confiscating dangerous objects and was using the toolbox to place them there. Why was it empty? Can you explain that to me Byakuya?" Flare asked. "Someone must have knocked it down during the confusion of the blackout," Byakuya countered. "Maybe so but why leave the lens there? Unless say I dunno, you had night vision goggles and one of the lens broke and it was left there by accident," Flare suggested. "How did you come up with the conclusion of me having night vision goggles from that one lens?" Byakuya asked. "Well how else were you able to move through pure darkness? Without a light that is?" Hajime asked. "Well I guess it sort of makes sense for that to happen," Nekomaru said. "Now just hold on a second! If he did use night vision goggles, how would it break? Explain that?!" Mahiru asked. "Eh? What do you mean?" Flare asked. "Let's say he did have night vision goggles. Then what? How would one of the lenses break off?" Mahiru challenged. "W-well I guess we can hypothesize that it broke on impact...," Flare looked like she was trying to come up with an argument to rebuttal Mahiru's statement. "With that? Explain to me how and when?" Mahiru asked. Sh* I need to rebuttal that or else my argument will be brushed off as pure speculation!

Flare: I couldn't believe it either but he's the only who fits with the evidence. It couldn't have broken off that easily, I know that for sure but there's an object that could knock the lens out

Mahiru: There was no object beside Kazuichi other than the scarf that killed him. I swear if you're just making this up, I won't be happy because you'll be wasting our time

In this case I believe it had something to do with Byakuya," Flare explained. "The knife? Well I guess it would be the most logical answer but why was it even bloody in the first place?" Mahiru asked. "I don't know. We don't have enough evidence for that but at least we know how the lens would have broken off," Flare explained. "So Byakuya got hit by the knife and the lens broke? Just for clarification," Ibuki asked. "Seems like it. But if only we knew how the blood got on," Hajime said. "That's too bad. An obstacle to this case but I'm sure you Ultimates of Hope can get around that obstacle," Nagito assured them although many didn't look to happy. But then he winced and held onto his side. "Wh-what's wrong Nagito?" Mikan asked. "Eh since when did he get injured?" Hiyoko asked. "Nah I'm fine. Such trash like me doesn't deserve treatment," Nagito muttered. Hajime narrowed his eyes at this, thinking, That's oddly suspicious. Flare appeared to be thinking the same thing but a lot more worried.

"Can we move on from this? This discussion is getting us nowhere near the culprit," Byakuya said. "Ohoho getting anxious are you? Ever since Flare accused you, you have been on edge. And you haven't exactly been talking as much since the knife has been brought up," Hiyoko pointed out. "Because the knife is irrelevant to this case that's why!" Byakuya countered.

"I just want to clarify something real quick," Flare said. "Are you wasting more time?" Byakuya asked. Flare ignored him and turned to Nagito. "Your injury. How did you get it?" She asked. "Hmm? Injury?" Nagito asked. "O-oh that's right. Y-you seem to be in p-pain earlier. I-is there a r-reason why?" Mikan asked. "Hmm normally I wouldn't speak up about my injuries because I don't want anyone worrying about trash like me but since it's in the name of Hope, I'll gladly tell," Nagito said. "Yeah I got attacked while trying to find someone to murder. I guess I was careless about the timing of the lights going off. It was a shallow cut so I was able to hide it but the aftermath I couldn't since you saw me wince," He explained. "Who attacked you?" Hajime asked. "I couldn't tell exactly but I can probably guess it was Kazuichi while he was being strangled," Nagito replied. "Wait it was Kazuichi who stabbed you?" Fuyuhiko asked. "Yep, I must say if he wasn't being strangled at the time, I would have been dealing with a much larger injury," Nagito explained with a small chuckle. "So from that we can see that the culprit probably saw this going down and tried to stop them by strangling Kazuichi, whether by accident or not but Kazuichi managed to make a shallow stab at Nagito who ran off somewhere since we didn't see him anywhere close to the crime scene," Peko spectated. "An accident? So the culprit didn't mean to kill Kazuichi? How?" Mahiru asked.
