Chapter 42: The Wedding
*Garroth's POV*
~8 Days Later~
So...it's the day after Halloween.
You must be wondering, what went on during Halloween, that got me so excited for it to happen. Well, I guess you'll never know, because I sure as Hell ain't telling you. Guess you'll just have to leave it up to your imagination, magickal people in my head.
I think this is a sign, that I have gone insane.
But, that means it's Novemeber. What happens after November? December. And December, means Christmas. And Christmas, means spending an amazing holiday with my amazing boyfriend.
So, the whole...Gene fiasco. Yeah...
We're just going to pretend, like that never happened. And, if Gene tries to interfere with anything again...
Laurance won't be the one beating him down.
Man, I sound very hypocritical. But, the reason I don't like the idea of Laurance hurting Gene, is because Laurance has some serious anger issues when it comes to things like that. He can get rather violent.
I know he just wants to be there for me, but...he needs to learn to control his temper first.
"Hey, Love? You alright?" Laurance snapped me out of my thoughts. "You have been staring at that plant over there, for a very long time."
"Hm?" I shook my head, turning to face Laurance. "Oh, sorry. I really got lost in my thoughts. So, what were we talking about?"
"About plants," Laurance deadpanned.
"Huh?" Why in the name of Irene were we talking about plants? "Oh, right...uh... So, what's your favourite type of plant? I personally like flowers...especially daisies. They're pretty."
Laurance rolled his eyes, chuckling softly. "Garroth, we weren't talking about plants."
He made me look like an idiot! I am so getting him back for that one.
"O-oh..," I bit my lip, turning away.
Laurance chuckled, moving closer to me. He wrapped his arms around my waist, resting his chin on the top of my head. I sighed, looking up at him.
"So, what were we actually talking about?" I giggled.
"We were talking about the wedding."
"Laurance, I'm serious!"
"I'm serious, too."
What is he getting at?
I felt my face heat up, and I looked at my hands. "W-what wedding?"
"Don't you remember, Love? The wedding!"
He has to be messing with me, right?
"U-uh..," I bit down harder on my lip. "W-what are you t-talking about..?"
Laurance laughed again, kissing the top of my head. "Dante and Vylad's wedding."
Oh thank Irene! I am not ready for that.
"O-oh! You meant their wedding..," I nervously laughed.
"What? Were you hoping it was our wedding? Because, I can arrange that if you want," Laurance's voice was smooth.
I couldn't see him, but I knew he had definitely winked. It's just in his nature. My face got more hot, and I folded my arms over my chest.
"U-um...t-that's not w-what I meant..," I puffed out my cheeks. "I-I'm not ready...for...marriage."
"But, what would you say...if I just up and proposed to you right now?" Laurance moved off of me, turning me around to face him.
"P-please don-"
And now he's kneeling on the ground in front of me...
"Garroth Ro'Meave..," Laurance smirked at me.
"No, no, nope! I'm not listening! Y-you are not going to propose to me. This is just a joke! Not real," I ranted, shifting my gaze away from him.
"Will you do the honours, of accepting my proposal..," Laurance paused, and I turned to look at him. Where I expected there to be a ring, was instead a daisy. "...of being my date, to your brother's wedding?"
I hate you, Laurance.
I slightly growled, crossing my arms. He made me feel like an idiot, again! Why do I love him, again?! My Irene...
"Y-you are horrible," I pouted, puffing out my cheeks.
But, I still indeed took the daisy from him. I can't believe he remembered my favourite flower... Nevermind my previous question, I remember why I love him...
"Garroth, can I tell you something?" Laurance's smirk faded into a true smile. I nodded, twirling the daisy in between my fingers. "The whole proposal thing, wasn't completely a joke. To be honest, one day, I do in fact want to marry you. The time your parents stayed here, I actually had a conversation with your father about it..."

~Flashback~
"What is it, Laurance?" Garte huffed, as he was typing something on his laptop. I imagine it was something for his work.
"I want to talk with you...about Garroth," I rubbed my forearm, biting my lip.
Garte turned to look at me, closing the lid of his laptop. He rose an eyebrow, crossing his arms. I looked down, avoiding eye contact.
"What about him?"
"H-how would you f-feel...if I a-asked for your blessing..?"
I looked up, to see Garte's eyes had widened. He dropped his arms, biting his lip as well.
"Blessing..? To marry my son?"
"N-no...y-yes? N-not right n-now, but s-sometime in the future," I sat in a chair, digging my nails into my arm. "B-but, I'm planning o-on marrying h-him one d-day..."
"I can tell that Garroth does obviously loves you, Laurance. And, you being willing to come to me- and ask me for my son's hand, shows you have a lot of bravery, and that you do care about him," Garte gave me a small, reassuring smile. "So, yes. You have my blessing."
"T-thank you, Mr. Ro'Meave."
~Flashback Over~
*Garroth's POV*
"And..," Laurance continued, "I've been planning out everything. I know it kind of takes away from the 'surprise factor', but...I know, that you know, how much I truly care about you. Sure, we might have only been dating for two months now...but, we've known each other for so long. Please don't get the wrong idea, I am not actually proposing marriage to you right now. Maybe I'm ready, but I know you aren't. All I'm trying to make, out of this long tangent, is that I truly love you, babe. You mean a Hell of a lot to me."
"L-Laurance..," here comes the tears.
Laurance stood up, holding out his arms. I stood up as well, embracing him.
I am so lucky, to have this man as my boyfriend. He is amazing...
Even though at times, he can be a real idiot...at least I can say, he is my idiot.
*Laurance's POV*
~4 Days Later~
Ah, November 5th. That is...6 days, before Dante and Vylad's wedding. Yup, November 11th is the date. Damn, how time flies.
"Garroth!" I whined, hanging off the side of our bed.
Garroth spun the desk chair around, narrowing his gorgeous eyes at me. "What is it? And don't you dare ask me for anything lovey~dovey, because I'm trying to get work done."
"Watching anime, isn't work, Love~" I teased, watching Garroth get flustered.
"W-what?! I am most definitely not reading fanfictions!" Garroth defended himself.
"I didn't say you were! I said you were watching anime. Nowhere in my statement, did I mention anything about fanfictions."
"S-shut up!" Garroth blushed a dark red, spinning back around to his computer. He shut the screen off, before turning back to face me. "What do you want, Laurance?"
"I need some..," I smirked, and Garroth rolled his eyes and shook his head. "Orange juice."
Garroth face-palmed, groaning. "Why the Hell, do you need orange juice?"
"Because I want something that will make me happy, and love me! Because, apparently, you don't love me enough, to stop reading fanfics, to come and spend time with me!" I complained.
Garroth narrowed his eyes, standing up from the chair. My smirk grew, as he walked over to me. I got up, sitting cross-legged on the bed. Garroth got on the bed, sitting in front of me- his eyes still narrowed.
"I hate you so damn much, Laurance," Garroth whispered.
"I love you too, boo~. Can I have some orange juice now?" I batted my eyes, at my boyfriend.
"No," Garroth frowned.
I frowned as well, until he smashed his lips onto mine. Then, I was happy again. He pulled away from me, all too quickly, still frowning. His eyebrows were furrowed, and and eyes still narrowed.
"What?" I rose an eyebrow at him.
Suddenly, Garroth's frown turned into a devilish smirk. I got the same one as well, as I held him by the waist.
"So, Garroth, what were you reading~?"
"I told you, it's a fanfiction," Garroth held his smirk.
"About~?"
"Can't tell you, Laurance. It's confidential. My eyes only," Garroth winked at me.
He is so damn sexy when he gets like this.
"Oh, really now~?" I purred, pecking a quick kiss. "What happened so far?"
Garroth's blush returned, an even darker shade this time. His smirk dropped, and mine grew. I held him closer to me, cupping his jaw with my cheek.
"N-nothing..," Garroth muttered, biting his lip.
"Does nothing involve-"
"I said nothing!" Garroth looked at me, his smirk returning once more.
He pushed me back a little- surprisingly. Garroth sat there, staring at me for a moment.
"S-so, onto a different subject," Garroth nervously chuckled. "Are you excited for Vylad and Dante's wedding?"
"Duh! Of course I am!" I sat up. "Free food, babe!"
Garroth rolled his eyes, giggling. "Of course that's why you'd be excited."
"And, also, it's my future brother-in-law's wedding," I winked at my flustered boyfriend.
"R-right..," Garroth held his hands together.
"Garroth..."
"Y-yes..?"
"Have I told you, that I love you?"
"Yes, you h-have...many times..."
"But, it's true. I love you, Sweetheart. And everytime I say it, I mean it just a little bit more. Because, it's one of those things I'll never get tired of saying."
"And...I love you, too. But, I'm not as good as speeches, as you. So, you'll just have to take my word for it."
I laughed a little, kissing Garroth's forehead.
I can't wait to spend the rest of my life, with this dork.
