Chapter 35: "Engaged"
*Zianna's POV*
Those two are too adorable~!
If anyone is meant for my GaGar, I want it to be Laurance. He's such a sweet boy, and my GarGar needs someone like that. If they aren't dating yet, they definitely should be.
I walked up their staircase, beginning to head into Laurance's room. But, I noticed that GarGar's room door was opened slightly.
Carefully, and quietly, I tip-toed to his door. I leaned in, quietly pushing it open a bit more. I stepped inside, to see the most adorable thing ever~!
Laurance was cuddling GarGar, and both were nuzzled close to each other-asleep. My eyes widened, yet I smirked. There is definitely something going on between them. I just hope they don't wait until they're engaged to tell me, like Pea did. I quietly stepped out the door, shutting it carefully.
I told him not to be clingy to him, while GarGar is sick. Poor boy is going to catch a fever.
Oh well...I'll be there to take care of them. Like the good mother/ probable mother-in-law I'm going to be.
~~~
"Zianna? Are you in here?" My husband's voice said from outside the door.
"Yes, come in, Garte," I replied.
The door opened, and Garte stepped in. He walked over to the bed, taking a seat beside me. I closed the book I was reading, setting it on the nightstand.
"Hey, Garte..," I got his attention. "What do you think about Laurance?"
"Where is this coming from?" Garte rose an eyebrow at me.
"I'm just curious."
Garte leaned against the headboard. He glanced at me, shrugging. "I'm not sure what to think of him..."
"What do you mean?" I pressed.
"I don't know, Zianna. Let's just leave it at that. I don't want to get into this conversation, right now. Let's just go to bed."
"R-right..."
*Garroth's POV*
~The Next Day~
"Yes I can!"
"Garroth, don't lie to yourself."
"But I totally can!"
Laurance rolled his eyes, crossing his arms. A smirk was plastered on his face. I balled my fists, out of playful anger.
"Fine then, prove it," Laurance held his smirk.
I looked around my room, grinning to myself. I grabbed Laurance's wrist, dragging him to the closest wall. I pushed him up against it, my hands on each side of him. Laurance's smirk grew, and he crossed his arms.
"Well..?" He rose an eyebrow at me.
"What should I do?" I asked.
"Sweep me off my feet, babe."
"How?" I rose an eyebrow.
"Like this..," Laurance grabbed my waist, dipping me. He looked down at me, giving me a small kiss. I rolled my eyes, and he lifted me back up. "See how much you swooned over me~"
"Right," I sarcastically said. "I can prove, that I can have dominance!"
"And how will you do that?"
"I dunno, maybe by..," I pulled away from Laurance, kneeling on the ground.
Laurance fanned himself, dramatically gasping. I rolled my eyes again, pretending to pull out a ring. I cleared my throat, trying to keep myself from bursting out into laughter- about how ridiculous this was.
"Laurance Zvahl, to prove I can have dominance, will you do the honours of fake-marrying me, to prove my point?"
"Wow, how romantic babe," Laurance sarcastically stated.
"I would make an actual speech, but knowing you- you would treat it as the real thing," I explained.
"Fine, sure thing, Beautiful. I'll fake marry you, to prove your point," Laurance un-enthusiasticly said, grinning at me.
"Please, don't be any more enthusiastic," I rolled my eyes, standing up.
I slipped the imaginary ring onto Laurance's finger, looking up at him. Laurance's smirk returned, and he held my waist again.
"Can I kiss the bride now?" Laurance winked at me.
"No, but I can," I held the sides of Laurance's face, pulling him into a kiss.
He kissed back, and dipped me again. I would protest against it, but I don't want to break our kiss. We eventually pulled away from each other, slightly gasping for air.
"Does this mean we're married now?" Laurance joked, chuckling a bit.
"No, I'm divorcing you," I flatly stated.
"But why, babe~?"
"Because I hate you," I laughed, giving him a quick kiss.
"Nah, Love. That says otherwise."
"Too late, I still hate you."
We both laughed together, and he lifted me up again. I pecked one last kiss on his cheek, before strolling over to my closet.
"Babe, you feeling better?" Laurance asked, as I looked for a change of clothes.
"Much better. I still have a sore throat, and my nose is a bit runny...but I'm getting over the sickness rather quickly," I grabbed a shirt, taking off the one I was wearing last night. "Are you getting sick? You were hanging around me, a lot yesterday."
"Nah, I'm alright. I got a strong immune system," Laurance came to my side, smiling softly.
I threw on a shirt, and grabbed the rest of my garments. I glanced at Laurance, who was smirking at me. I rolled my eyes, walking over to my room door.
"You are gross," I stuck my tongue out at him.
Laurance rolled his eyes, crossing his arms, "I'm just hopeful, Love."
"This, right here, is the reason we're no longer married," I put my hand on my hip.
"But we didn't even get a chance to go on our honeymoon!" Laurance fake-whined.
I felt heat rise up to my face, and I shook my head. I stepped out of my room, biting my lip.
"S-shut u-up..."
~~~
*Laurance's POV*
I skipped down the stairs, humming to myself. I walked into the living room, to see Garroth's mom standing by the doorway. Her head perked up once she saw me, and she smirked.
Oh dear...
"Oh, Laurance! I've been waiting for you to get up!" Zianna exclaimed, clasping her hands together.
"Y-you have..?" I nervously tugged at my shirt collar.
Zianna nodded, skipping over to in front of me. She slightly looked up at me, holding her hands on her hips.
"Where's GarGar?" She asked, tilting her head to the side.
"He's getting changed," I replied.
"Perfect!"
Huh?
Zianna grabbed my wrist, pulling me into the kitchen. She shut the door behind us, folding her arms over her chest. I bit my lip, trying not to make eye contact.
"Laurance, sweetheart, do you like GarGar?" Zianna smiled.
"Of course I do, Mrs. Ro'Meave. Your son is an amazing friend," I mentally slapped myself for calling him that.
"No, sweetie, do you like like him?"
Damn, she's pulling this card on me.
"Look, Zianna, I am going to tell you something, that I don't want you to let Garroth know I told you. You also have to promise to not tell Mr. Ro'Meave, got it?" Zianna nodded, bouncing a little. I sighed, prepping myself. "Zianna, your son- Garroth, is my boyfriend."
Zianna's face lit up, and she squealed a little. I held a finger to my lips, signifying her to keep quiet. She clasped a hand over her mouth, muffling her squeals.
Once she calmed down, she dropped her hand. She was grinning insanely big, and her eyes sparkles with delight.
"This is amazing~!" Zianna sang. "First my little Pea gets engaged, now my GarGar has a boyfriend! Now, all that's left is my precious ZuZu, and all my boys can be happy!" Zianna ranted, still smiling.
I was comfortable with telling Zianna. She's like a second-mother to me. She treats me like her own kid. Not fully of course, I'm dating her son. But, still... I knew Zianna would take the news well.
Garte, he's a different story. He doesn't trust me. And, I'm not sure how he'll handle me dating Garroth. He seemed fine with Vylad being engaged to Dante, but then again...Vylad isn't his biological kid.
Maybe I'm just over-thinking it. I just, need to talk things through with Garroth...
Everything will be fine...
