Chapter 11: A Question
*Garroth's POV*
Bzz...Bzz...
I rolled on my side, my eyes fluttering open. My phone was vibrating, and it was lit up. I didn't feel like answering it, knowing it was Aphmau. I waited until it stopped, to grab it.
9:26 a.m.
I had two missed calls from Aphmau, and three texts.
Aph: Hey, Gar! You up?
Aph: You're not answering my calls.
Aph: Gar, I'm heading to work. I'll try to call you during my break, K? Ttyl~
I sighed, deciding it would be the best idea to talk to her about the whole Laurance situation. But, not over the phone. I could try and schedule us to meet up later or tomorrow.
You: Aph, sorry for not answering your calls. Just woke up. Call me later.
I set my phone on the nightstand. I got up, realizing I went to bed in yesterday's attire. I laughed at myself, going to change my outfit.
I settled on wearing a simple blue t-shirt, and some jeans. I walked out of my room, to see Laurance's door was shut.
Maybe he's still asleep...
*Laurance's POV*
I yawned, stretching my arms. I opened the oven, putting in the cake pan. After closing it, I slumped my way into the living room.
I threw myself on the couch, grabbing my phone off the coffee table.
[Thirteen Texts From: Dante]
[Two Texts From: Lucy]
I decided to check Lucinda's first, since she had less than Dante.
Lucy: Hey, Laurance- I apologize in advance.
Lucy: Again, I'm sorry. :,(
I sighed, thinking of all the possibilities she could be apologizing. I decide to check Dante's texts, preparing myself for anything.
Dante: Laurance, we need to talk. ASAP!
Dante: ASAP =/= Never! This is important.
Dante: I swear to Irene, if you are still asleep- I will go to your house, and drag you out of bed myself.
Dante: LAURANCE!
Dante: I am this close to going over to your house!
Dante: Did you die or something..?
Dante: Did Garroth die?
Dante: Vylad and I send our condolences for your death, we will bring flowers. RIP.
Dante: You have ten minutes to respond.
Dante: Laurance, damn it! It's been five minutes!
Dante: How the hell have you not woken up with all of these texts?!
Dante: That's it!
Dante: If you don't respond right now, I am going over there!
I laughed a bit at how idiotic Dante could be sometimes. I started to type a response. Just as I was about to type it, I heard footsteps coming down the stairs, and into the kitchen.
I smiled, knowing that Garroth had woken up. I set my phone back down, sneaking into the kitchen.
Garroth was inspecting the oven, with a quizzical expression. I snuck up behind him, wrapping my arms around his shoulders. He jumped a bit, turning his head a little. I laid my head on his shoulder, smiling at him.
"Morning, Gar~" I sang, kissing his cheek. Garroth's face flushed red, as he shrugged me off his shoulders.
"Laurance, you scared the hell out of me!"
"Oh, I did? I guess that explains, why all I see is an angel."
Garroth's cheeks dusted pink, and I chuckled a bit. He then rose an eyebrow at me, looking confused.
"Why are you making a cake at 9 in the morning?"
"Oh...you saw it?" Garroth nodded, slightly chuckling. I walked over to the stove, checking on the cake. "It's almost done."
"What's it for?"
"It's for you..," I smiled again, walking back over to Garroth. His face was returning back to that dark shade of red. He looked so cute, flustered.
"W-why for me..?" Garroth scratched the back of his head, looking down slightly.
"Because I wanted to make up for upsetting you, last night. And..," I grabbed Garroth's waist, pulling him close to my chest, "...this is for you, too."
I pulled Garroth into a kiss, obviously taking him by surprise. He eventually gave into it, kissing me back. His lips were much softer and warmer, than last night. Also, those beautiful sparks returned. Garroth wrapped his arms around my neck, holding me closer to him. We eventually had to release, but we still smiled at each other.
"W-What was that f-for..?" Garroth stammered, after a few moments of silence.
"You pursued the kiss last time, I didn't get a chance yet," I winked at him, kissing his forehead. Garroth buried his face into my chest, holding on tightly to my shirt. I removed my hand from his waist, brushing his blonde hair with my fingers. "By the way, you still owe me more cupcakes after you ate the last box. Don't think I've forgotten. But.., there may be a chance, that I'll let it slide..."
"For what?" Garroth asked, clearly suspicious, and his voice slightly muffled by my shirt. I stopped brushing his hair, using my finger to push his chin up- to look into his beautiful cyan eyes. A smirk played along my lips, and I could see Garroth starting to get nervous.
"Maybe I'll let you off the hook, if my lovely boyfriend agrees to go on a date with me tomorrow."
Garroth's eyes widened, and I could see he was slightly panicking.
"B-boyfriend?!"
Damn it, Laurance! You forgot to ask him!
"Oh, right...I forgot to ask..," I chuckled nervously, as Garroth pulled away from me. I gently took his hand, smiling brightly at the most beautiful man I have ever laid eyes on. "Garroth Ro'Meave, you don't have to say yes if you aren't ready, but...will you be...my...boyfriend..?"
Garroth smiled back at me, and I felt all of my nerves slip away. His cheeks were coated a pink shade, and he nodded at me.
"O-of course...I l-love you, s-so much, Laurance..."
I leaned in, hoping to kiss him again- when there was a knock at the door. I sighed, letting go of Garroth's hand.
"Now we're getting interrupted! Our lives are just one big cliché moment, aren't they?" I ranted, earning a chuckle from Garroth. "I'll go answer it."
Garroth nodded, as I strolled into the living room. I walked over to the door, to see a blue-haired person outside my door.
Crap! I forgot about Dante!
I opened the door, to see a furious Dante standing outside. His fists were balled, and his face was beet-red.
"H-hey, Dante..."
"We need to talk."
