Part 39

The first thing I did after I woke up in the morning was to check my phone, but there was no call or text from Arnav and now I was literally worried wondering where he might have gone or why he was ignoring me.

I had a quick shower and got dress as I headed straight to Raizada mansion, I had to find out what was going on.

I couldn't spend any more minute without knowing where he was and what exactly he was up to that he dint even consider it important to call me or leave a message at least.

I parked my car outside the mansion and stood the motivating myself to go inside, I dint know why I was even nervous, I mean it was my boyfriend's house and everybody here loved me.

I headed inside and the first person I saw was Ahaan, he was pacing around the garden outside the hall while talking to someone over the phone.

I stood there looking around hoping to see someone else so that I could ask them about Arnav and luckily, just then Arnav's mom came downstairs, I saw a smile curve up on her face as soon as she saw me.

"Khushi! What a pleasant surprise." She walked closer to me and pulled me into a hug.

"Aren't you supposed to be at school right now though?" She asked a she broke the hug and looked at me.

"Yeah, I just thought I'd pass by and meet Arnav and if he's going to school we can go together, so where is he?" I looked around hoping I was going to see him.

"Oh boys I tell you, he dint tell you that he was staying over at Aarons, did he?"

"No, I guess he must have forgotten, I'll head to school then, I'll meet him there anyway."

"Why don't you join us for breakfast before you leave?"

"No thanks Aunty, I already had some from home but thanks for offering." I smiled at her and waved her a goodbye as I headed towards the door.

Although I still dint want to leave because Arnav staying over at Aaron's was a lame excuse, there was definitely something more to this, and I knew I could get my answers from Ahaan only.

"I guess I'll wait a bit for Ahaan to finish with the call, I have something to talk to him about." I said as I stopped and turned back.

"Sure, you can wait for him here, meanwhile I'll go prepare breakfast for my lovely family." She smiled and turned around and walked to the kitchen.

I kept on staring at Ahaan who hadn't stopped walking from one place to the other, he looked tensed and frustrated, he kept on running his hand through his hair every few seconds.

He was a bit taller than Arnav but they had so much in similar, they kind of looked similar too, anyone could know they were brothers just by looking at them.

I had to wait for like five more minutes until Ahaan was finally done with the conversation, as soon as he walked back to the hall from the garden, I stood up and rushed towards him.

"We need to talk." I said as I stood in front of him.

"Oh hey Khushi, nice meeting you but I'm in a hurry, I have some work to do so can we talk some other time?" Ahaan smiled a bit and headed out of the door, I rushed behind him trying to stop me, I knew he was trying to avoid me.

"Ahaan don't walk away on me like that, I know there's something you're trying to hide from me." I shouted from behind.

He stopped walking and turned around to look at me.

"Why would I hide anything from you Khushi?"

"I don't know but why would you just ignore me like that? Anyway that's not the point, I came here to see Arnav, but he's not at home so where is he?"

"He's staying at Aaron's for a few days."

"Okay, if he's staying there why isn't he coming to school? I mean we both missed so much already why would he just decided to sit at home and not go to school?"

"Stop behaving like a detective, just call him and ask him the questions, I don't have the answers." He turned around once again, but I wasn't going to let him go so easily obviously.

"Wait Ahaan, I know there's some kind of an issue, just tell me where he is."

"What makes you feel like that Khushi, there's not issue, he is just at Aaron's he will be back in a few days." Ahaan looked at me trying to assure me, but the way he said it wasn't believable.

"If he was just staying there he wouldn't ignore my calls, I've been calling him and texting him since yesterday and he hasn't even replied yet, I come here and everyone tells me he's at Aaron's place and you want me to believe that.

I can see this Ahaan, I can feel it, they way you looked so tensed, it's for sure there's something wrong somewhere, but will you please tell me where?

I am really worried for him, I haven't been able to sleep well the whole night wondering where he is."

Ahaan looked at me sadly and then walked a bit closer to me, he got hold of me by my shoulders and looked me into the eyes.

"Look, I dint want you to get worried, but I can't really tell you anything Khushi. I would have if I could but trust me when I say I can't.

Listen, you don't have to worry about Arnav, as long as I am alive nothing would ever happen to him and I promise that to you.

For now all you can do is trust me, I will tell him to call you whenever he can but for now just don't ask me any more questions.

Go to school and concentrated on your classes because you know that's what Arnav would want, and for now let me handle things my way okay, I promise you will soon hear from him." Ahaan smiled at me and then headed straight to his car and drove off.

I felt like banging my head on a wall or something, I couldn't just stop worrying and wondering what exactly was happening.

Since yesterday, neither Arnav nor did anyone from his gang show up and today Ahaan is also acting like this, what must have been wrong?

She got inside her car and drove to school wondering how she was going to find out what was going on exactly.

Ahaan had refused to tell her which meant there must have been something serious so she couldn't just sit and do nothing about it, she wanted to find out what had happened and she wanted to help.

If Arnav was in any sort of danger she wanted to bring him out of it, she was quite sure it was definitely something related to the guys that had kidnapped her.

She parked the car and stepped out just when Ryle came from nowhere and jumped in front of her scaring her.

"What happened, you dint react on me scaring you, I thought that you would run behind me to hit me or something but you are just standing still." Ryle asked.

"Nothing." Khushi shrugged as she walked away from him but he followed her.

"Khushi, I am your friend, you can tell me about it, whatever that's bothering you." Ryle said.

"That's the problem Ryle, I can't tell you because it's about Arnav and he doesn't trust you and you don't trust him and all you both want to do is kill each other."

"I don't care if it's about Arnav, I'll do anything if it's to make you feel better."

"Why, why would you do anything Ryle?" I looked at him curiously.

"Because you remind me of my little sister, I wish I had helped Jiya when she needed my help but I was just being terrible to her, anyway tell me, what's bothering you, I will help you if I can."

I explained everything to Ryle from Arnav not showing up to school, to him not receiving my calls to me going to his house and everything that Ahaan told me.

"So you think he's in some sort of a danger or something?" Ryle asked to which I nodded positively, I definitely knew there was danger.

"He has his gang members to get him out of any danger, I'm sure he will be fine Khushi, you shouldn't worry."

"His gang members aren't showing up either, how do I know if he's the only one in danger or the boys too? I just want to find out what's happening Ryle and I want to help them, if you can please help me on this." Khushi looked at him sadly.

"You love him so much, and I'll help you because of the love you have for him, give me some time I'll find out and let you know." Ryle assured me, gladly I had someone to help me figure things out now.
