I headed downstairs feeling really uncomfortable, dresses weren't really my kind of clothing but just because I really needed some answers from mom, I had to do this.

"Wow, you look like a girl." Ayush laughed as he looked at me with his eyes wide open, I mean I did sort of expect this reaction from him, he might have never seen me dressed like this before.

I was wearing a mini black bodycon dress which was clinging to my body really well, I had my hair in loose curls and the usual make up I always did, it wasn't much different, just the dress but it changed the whole image I always had.

"I was blackmailed into this." I said to him.

"You should be blackmailed often then." He smiled and then ran to the sofa as he settled down and continued watching his favorite show.

I walked outside hoping Bonnie was here already, gladly when I walked out, her car arrived, she parked it right there and stepped out, she was dressed in a cute royal blue dress with black heels, she looked absolutely gorgeous.

"Wow!" I heard two people exclaim, I looked at mom who was standing at the side and then at Bonnie who was standing in front of me, they both were looking at me like I was an alien.

"Relax guys, I'm just wearing a dress, I still look like the old me." I laughed at their expressions."I'm glad you listened, Arnav is going to love it." Mom whispered to me.

"I dint wear the dress for him mom, I wore it so you could give me some answers."

"I know, we'll discuss that tomorrow, I don't want to keep Bonnie waiting for you, go and have fun." She smiled as she headed inside the house and I walked towards Bonnie, we both got inside the car and she drove off.

"I thought you dint like Arnav, so why are you dressed up?" Bonnie smirked at me.

"I was blackmailed by my mom, I haven't dressed up for anyone so shut up and drive!" I looked at her angrily, she forced me into this and mom added the fuel, I was so angry about this whole thing.

We arrived at one of the most famous restaurant in Mystic falls, Bonnie parked the car as we both stepped outside, she seemed pretty confident about this and I hated that I was the one to feel nervous, I've never been really nervous about anything, but I was today because of my clothes and because I was going to be face to face with Arnav after an entire week of ignoring him.

We both walked inside, I made sure to be walking a bit behind Bonnie hoping no one would notice the change in my look, we both stopped in between and looked around trying to find a familiar face until we saw Katherine waving at us excitedly.

I turned my gaze towards the huge table and everyone was seated there already meaning Bonnie and I were the last ones to arrive.

We started walking towards the table and I could notice everyone looking at me, God! This was so freaking awkward, I just wanted to go hide somewhere.

"Hey the deal was that I come along, not stay so I'm leaving." I said to Bonnie as I stopped walking and turned around but she grabbed my hand and pulled me along, damn I hated her for doing this to me.

We both stopped at the table, there were two seats empty, one besides Karthik and one besides Arnav who I hadn't looked at until now, everyone was basically seated in couples and I knew Bonnie was going to sit next to Karthik which meant I had to sit beside Arnav!

I walked closer to him and he was staring at me without even blinking his eyes, I pulled out the chair and sat down uncomfortably in between Stefan and Arnav.

I saw Stefan and Karthik open their mouth to say something to me so I spoke before they could."Okay none of you is going to comment on my clothes or my look otherwise I'll leave." I warned them so they all shut up but they still wouldn't stop staring at me.

"You can't stop us from complimenting you the only time you look like a girl." Damon said finally taking his attention off Katherine.

"Really Damon? Do you want to compliment me?" I asked in a sarcastic tone, since when did he become nice?

"Well I don't like you much but you do look good." He said, I looked away from him, I hated that everyone's attention was on me.

"Okay can we order food now?" I asked changing the topic hoping they would all stop staring at me, it seemed to work because everyone picked up the menu and started to decide what to eat, I looked at Arnav who still hadn't taken his eyes off me.

There was an awkward silence between the both of us and some sort of tension, I dint like this at all, when he noticed I was looking at him he finally looked away and pretended to look at the menu.

Was this night ever going to end?

I heard a beeping sound and looked at Arnav who was pulling his phone out of his pocket, he read the text message he had received and I saw his expressions changing from calm to angry in a matter of seconds.

He clenched his fists angrily and was just about to stand up and walk away when I placed my hand on his and looked at him, I dint even know why I did that.

He looked at me angrily for a moment and then all the anger faded away slowly, as I realized what I had done, I quickly took my hand off his, I just made this more awkward than it was but when he read the text he looked really angry and it looked like he was going to leave.

The dinner hadn't even started yet and I knew if Arnav left, his friends wouldn't like it so I just did it to stop him.

The waiter stood between us as he took orders from everyone and then walked away.

"Khushi." Arnav called out my name in a whisper as I turned to look at him in surprise, he looked nervous, he was literally scratching his head with his fingers every now and then as I kept on looking at him waiting for him to speak.

"Khushi I..."

"Khushi, where have you been busy, we've rarely seen you around this week." Stefan asked interrupting Arnav, Arnav immediately looked away from me so I turned to look at Stefan."Nothing, just busy studying." I replied.

"You shouldn't be studying whole day, some people miss seeing you." Damon smirked as he looked straight at Arnav, was he trying to say that Arnav missed seeing me? Because I wasn't going to believe that, we both hated each other enough to be glad that we weren't getting to see each other much.

"By the way, why aren't you both arguing or fighting today?" Caroline asked as she looked at me and Arnav.

"I'm wondering the same, plus they are even sitting together." Katherine giggled.

"That had to happen obviously." Damon said making it sound so suspicious, had I been right about this ever since? All this was definitely a bet, Arnav being nice to me and everything had to be a bet because no one changes their behavior towards a person they hate so suddenly.

"I was right about this wasn't I? It's all a bet." I looked at Arnav and laughed, it was ridiculous that he chose to have a bet on me, what could it be though?

"I already told you Khushi, if this was a bet you would have been already on my bed and I would have already dumped you, I don't waste time." He looked at me angrily.

"Okay I am so done with this, get over with it." I said as I looked at the rest of the guys angrily.

"Khushi, calm down, there's no bet or anything of that sort." Stefan said as he looked at me sincerely.

"He's right, and even if there was, I'm sure Stefan would have told you, he doesn't like bets because most probably they end up hurting people." Karthik said.

"You sure, if I ever find out this was a bet, trust me I'll kill all of you." I said it in a serious tone and I meant it.

"Trust me Khushi, we dint bet on anything." Stefan assured me.

After the conversation, everyone went silent until the waiter came with the food, we all started eating and discussing random stuff.

Everyone seemed to be having fun apart from Arnav who hadn't spoken much, he just answered what he was asked and concentrated on his food, I might have offended him earlier but I was just being paranoid, I had all the right to, his behavior was just so different than it was when we first met.

I looked at Karthik and Bonnie who were really getting along well and maybe secretly flirting, I smiled knowing I had done what I had promised Karthik.

After we all were done, Damon and Katherine were the first to leave because they needed some private time, I also wanted to leave because it was getting really awkward sitting next to Arnav looking at each other awkwardly, but Bonnie really seemed to be having a good time I dint bring my car so I dint want to disturb her, I just sat there hoping we would leave soon.

"Anyone willing to drop Khushi home? Karthik and I have a plan." Bonnie said as she looked at me nervously.

"I'll take a taxi." I said as I stood up.

"I'll drop you." Arnav said as he stood up too and headed out straight not giving me a chance to even agree or disagree.

"See you tomorrow." Bonnie winked at me knowingly, a part of me wanted to believe she did this purposely so I would have to go home with him.

"You should be wearing dresses often, they look good on you." Stefan smiled at me.

"Thanks Stefan." I smiled at him and walked out, I found Arnav standing next to his jeep waiting for me, I really wish I could have taken a taxi.
