When I arrived at college next morning all prepared for the fight that was going to happen between me and Arnav once again, I dint find his car in the parking lot.

It was unusual because since he came here, I was used to seeing his car in the lot whenever I arrived, I just guessed he dint want to lose against me once again so he decided not to show up.

That thought made me feel good, I liked to believe that he dint come because he knew he had no chance against me, I smirked to myself and headed straight to my class while Kitty followed me but she was too busy chatting with someone on her phone she dint look anywhere else or talk to anyone.

Kitty and I walked inside our English class and she rushed to sit next to Damon, I was late today and my usual seat was taken so I had to sit far behind in the corner where there were only two seats left, I hoped Arnav wasn't going to show up because if he did, he would sit next to me and I dint want that.

The door opened and the lecturer walked in along with Stefan, Stefan looked around for a moment until his eyes stopped at me, I looked away from him as he made his way towards me, sitting with Stefan was still better than sitting with Arnav.

"Hey." He said as he settled down beside me, I chose to ignore him and stared straight at the board, pretending to concentrate.

"Why are you ignoring me? As far as I remember I haven't really done anything to offend you or something, I'm just trying to be a friend." Stefan said.

"Don't you get it Stefan, I don't want to be friends with you." I looked at him for a moment and then looked away immediately, damn he was hot!

"Why? Because of Arnav?"

"No because I don't want to be friends with you, just take the hint and stop this." I said, he dint say anything he just remained silent and I was glad he did.

I couldn't stop wondering about Arnav though, Damon was here, Stefan was here and although Karthik wasn't in the class I'm sure he was here too, so why wasn't Arnav?

"I thought I was supposed to have a fight with Arnav today, did he get scared and decided not to show up?" I asked Stefan.

"No, he's just out of town, something came up and he had to leave." Stefan said, I could feel the disappointment in his voice and I knew for a fact that he wasn't disappointed because of the fight but because I refused to be his friend.

I looked at him and found him staring at me but he looked away immediately, he had a really beautiful jawline, this man was perfectly made, I couldn't take my eyes off him.

"Okay, we can be friends, but only friends." I said rolling my eyes and then cursed myself immediately for agreeing.

I had never been friends with any guys apart from Zion and well that ended terribly, and this friendship with Stefan was a bad idea, Caroline liked him so much and I promised to stay away.

"Really?" He smiled brightly at me and my heart melted, I dint ever think that I was ever going to be this good, that too to a guy, I was a bad girl, I was always rude to people, what the hell was happening to me?

For the rest of the lecture, I kept on ignoring Stefan as he tried to talk to me, I shouldn't have agreed to be friends with him, but I don't even know why I did! Caroline was going to be pissed at me!

As soon the class was over, I picked up my books and rushed outside avoiding talking to him, I headed out and bumped into Caroline.

"Hey!" She smiled at me brightly, she really looked happy.

"What's up, you're all smiles today." I asked.

"Stefan's having a party at his place today and he invited me, I think he might like me also, I am just so excited, I can't wait for the party." She couldn't stop smiling.

"Good for you, anyway I have a class to get to, I'll talk to you at lunch." I smiled and before I could walk away Stefan jumped in from nowhere.

"Khushi, would you like to come for the party? Bonnie and Katherine are coming along with Damon and Karthik." Stefan asked.

"No, I don't really go to parties besides I might spoil it by fighting with Arnav and I don't really want to be anywhere he is, he's just so irritating." I rolled my eyes.

"Don't worry, I told you he's out of town so he won't be there, you should come." Stefan said.

"I agree, you should come and I'll make sure I convince you to come." Caroline said, she dint look disappointed because Stefan invited me, I guess I was the one overthinking everything maybe.

I walked away leaving the both of them talking and headed to my next class, gladly none of the boys were in this one.

I settled down and started reading a book but I couldn't really concentrate, I kept on wondering what could have happened, why did Arnav leave town all over a sudden when we were going to have a fight today?

What was it that could have compelled him to leave? Suddenly he sounded like a mysterious guy to me, and I had this urge to solve the mystery.

I was literally doomed, I thought since I was back after the holidays, it was going to be fun studying and all, but this boys came and ruined everything, here I was stuck thinking about why Arnav left town when all I should be doing was to hate him and not think about him but I was.

It was stupid, I had started behaving differently, this wasn't me, I never gave a damn about anyone but now I was, I was giving a damn about Stefan and about Arnav and it was making me angry.

"We are getting late!" Caroline kept on shouting impatiently while I was busy standing in front of my mirror, curling my hair.

"I dint tell you to force me to come along." I shrugged as I concentrated on my hair, like Caroline had said she'd convince me, when we met at the cafeteria at lunch time, she along with the other girls did all they could to convince me to go along with them.

I dint really like attending parties, there was nothing good in them, they were full of couples making out in every corner, adults playing games that even teenagers don't play and people getting drunk for no reasons.

"I still suggest you should go without me." I told Caroline once I was done with my hair, she ignored what I said so I sat on my bed as I put on my boots.

"Look at you going to a party dressed like a bad girl." Caroline rolled her eyes at me.

"I am a bad girl Caroline, that will never change." I smirked as I walked out of the room finally she was glad, because Katherine and Bonnie were already at the party and I was the one getting Caroline late when she was dying to see Stefan.

We drove in my Jeep as she directed me to the house, how did she even know where Stefan lived? They had known each other for a few days, had she been already to his place?

We drove through a road that seemed to be leading towards a jungle or something, there were trees all over, I was born here and brought up here but I'd never been to this sides of mystic falls.

I kept on driving until I could see a huge while mansion, it looked even bigger than the one I lived it, it looked more like a palace than a mansion, it's surroundings were all beautiful, it was surrounded by a garden that had different kind of flowers.

I drove inside the gate and found a parking spot, as soon as I parked, Caroline jumped out of the car and rushed inside, this girl was so impatient!

I locked my car and stayed out there admiring the beautiful scenery, Stefan must really like living here, away from people and in the calm, I wished my house wasn't located in the middle of the town with so many neighbors.

There were so many people, out in the garden, I passed so many couples making out as I headed inside.

There was a huge crowd inside the mansion and I even wondered if there were so many people in this town, it was literally crowded, as I made my way through then looking for any of my friends, I finally saw Katherine seated on one of the sofa's, she was already busy making out with Damon, wow I had no idea things between them had progressed so much.

I looked beside them and saw another couple seated there, the guy was seated on the sofa and the girl was seated on his lap busy kissing him which was hiding the guy's face, this was why I hated going to parties, what was I even supposed to do here?

Bonnie waved at me from behind the sofa, I smiled at her as I walked towards her, as I passed by the side, I finally got a glimpse of the guy who had the girl on his lap, it was none other than Arnav, I thought he was out of town!
