Hopefully this one is WAY better :)

The first Pokémon the girls came across that following morning was a small, and very irritated Spearow.  To say Rapunzel was disappointed would be an understatement.  She had been hoping for something a little more. . .interesting.

Rapunzel groaned once again, and Belle rolled her eyes while looking down at the Map in her Guide Book for directions as Elekid walked along beside her with his arms crossed.  Poliwag and Punzie had fallen behind to look around for new Pokémon to catch, the Trainer eager for another Pokémon and her Partner eager for another friend.

"How much longer?" Rapunzel whined once again while lifting her arms above her head so that she was leaning on them for head support.

Belle rolled her eyes once more as Elekid's antennae buzzed with annoyed electricity.  Belle patted him on the head to keep him calm.  "About as long as it takes you to not ask that same question in the past ten minutes?"  Belle glanced over her shoulder at her friend as they approached a flowing lake.  "We've barely started our Journey.  It's not like a Pokémon is just going to jump out at you wanting to be caught, and-AHH!"

Rapunzel ran up to her friend as she fell back from kneeling next to the lake to refill her water flask, her brown eyes wide with fear as she pointed down at the lake.  Elekid buzzed with fresh electricity at whatever creature had spooked his Trainer.  Punzie peered over into the water and frowned.  "There's nothing there, Belle."

Belle shook her head rapidly as Poliwag waddled up to the edge of the lake, and dipped his tail in to cool himself off.  "It was there!  It was white, and it was just-THERE IT IS AGAIN!" Belle pointed at the water beside Poliwag's tail, and the small Tadpole Pokémon reacted quickly by using a Double-Slap Attack and sent the Pokémon flying out of the water and onto land.

Rapunzel laughed at the sight of the Pokémon before them as it blinked it's big black eyes up at them curiously.  "This little guy?  He's what scared you?  He's hardly what I'd call scary, Belle.  I mean, just look at him!  He's adorable!"

The Pokémon smiled then and leaned back on his tail as he clapped his front flippers together.  "Seel!  Seel!"

Rapunzel smirked then, and Poliwag got the message as he stepped forward and into a fighting stance.  "What are you doing, Rapunzel?  You're not seriously going to catch that thing, are you?" Belle asked, still in shock from the fright before.

Rapunzel glanced back at her friend as Elekid helped his Trainer to her feet.  "Of course I am.  If I recall, Seel is a Water-Type, and we all know Water-Types are my specialty," Punzie stated proudly, and Belle shook her head while crossing her arms.

"You're forgetting the Ice part of it's Type, genius," Belle muttered, and Punzie shrugged uncaringly.

"Same difference."  She turned back to the Seel.  "Now, to make this Pokémon mine.  Go, Poliwag, Double-Slap Attack!"

Poliwag sped towards the Seel on his two stubby legs, his tail swishing behind him as he jumped up in the air and twirled his body so that his tail was facing the Seel as he swung it back and forth across the Seel's face, expertly avoiding the small horn on top of it's head.  The Seel fell back before swinging his own tail around for a Tail Whip, sending Poliwag flying backwards and rolling onto his back as he used his tail to balance himself out just in time to jump out of the way of the wild Seel's attack in the form of a rainbow ray of sorts.

"Did that Seel just use an Aurora Beam Attack!?" Belle gasped in surprise from behind Rapunzel, and Punzie clenched her fist uneasily.

"This isn't going to be easy," Punzie muttered, before deciding to use Poliwag's special attack.  "Alright, Poliwag!  No more mister nice guy on this fella'!  It's time to use Hypnosis!"

"Poli!" Poliwag replied with a determined look in his eyes, and then began to sway his body back and forth in a steady rhythm while flicking his tail slowly from side-to-side as the Seel watched his movements carefully.  Soon enough, the Seel's eyes began to droop until it collapsed from sleep while it snored peacefully away.

"Go, Pokéball!" Rapunzel shouted while throwing one of the five empty Pokéballs she was given during the Ceremony as it hit Seel on the forehead and popped open, taking the Sea Lion Pokemon inside it with a red beam of light as it shut tight and fell to the ground, the button on the Pokéball blinking red as it wiggled back and forth from the Seel fighting to escape.  Then it finally clicked shut and stopped moving altogether.  A slow smile pulled at Punzie's lips as she cheered in victory.  "Yeah!  We did it, Poliwag!  We caught a new Pokémon!"

"Poli!  Poli!" Poliwag hopped up and down in joy as his body began to glow a bright white.

The two Trainers and Elekid stood watching, mouths agape as Poliwag's form grew taller and his tail shrank until it was no longer there as two arms grew from his sides and he stopped glowing altogether.  Rapunzel just stared at her newly Evolved Partner Pokémon .  "AHH!" she squealed, and ran up to hug her new Poliwhirl.  "I can't believe you Evolved, Poliwag!  This is incredible!  I guess those two years we were together paid off, huh?"

"Poli!  Poliwhirl!" the new Poliwhirl cheered with his deeper voice while raising his fists in the air, and Punzie laughed.

"Well, it looks like I got two new Pokémon instead of one, huh, boy?" Punzie giggled and patted her new Poliwhirl's head in gratitude, before standing up and walking over to pick up the Pokéball that held her new Pokemon inside it.  "Welcome to the team, Seel."  Rapunzel smiled down at the Pokéball before placing it onto her belt, looking up to see Belle smiling and laughing as she engulfed her friend in a victory hug.

"I'm so proud of you, Punz!" Belle squealed in her friend's ear as they hopped up and down.

"And to think," Punzie began with a smile, "this is just one of many more victories to come," she ended on a wink, causing her best friend to laugh at her humor.

"Nice catch."

The two Trainers looked up to see two shadows exit from the trees beside the Lake as Ariel and Mulan's forms came to light.  "Hey!" Rapunzel greeted them cheerfully.

Ariel laughed while Mulan placed a hand on her hip.  "What do you say to a battle with the new Pokémon you just caught?" Mulan challenged, holding up a Pokéball in the process, a confident smirk on her face.

Punzie matched that smirk and grabbed Seel's Pokéball off her belt, holding it up.  "Bring it on."  And then the two girls sent out their Pokémon.  Although to say Rapunzel was expecting Tyrogue to be battling would be very wrong indeed.  Unknowingly to others, Mulan had always had a second Pokémon and was her prize winner for years.

And she planned to keep it that way.

I think that was much better ^-^ Next chapter will be the battle between Rapunzel and Mulan ;D
