Sokeefe-2:-If Sophie's parents were Elves- Part 3:

“Sophie.”  The voice dragged Sophie from a deep sleep, and her eyelids fluttered. “Dad?” She mumbled, rubbing her eyes.

Then she opened her eyes and found a tall, handsome, brown haired man standing over her, smiling.

She blushed profusely and then remembered her abduction.

Her face immediately turned to fear and anger.

“Who are you? Where am I?”

She asked, sitting up and huddling farther back into the settee she found herself on.

“I am Alden Vacker, and this is Everglen.” He said, his warm smile staying in place.

Sophie swallowed.

“W-what do you want?” She stammered.

Alden kept on smiling.

"There's no reason to worry, Sophie." He said, trying to reassure her. She didn't feel reassured though. They had probably somehow found out about her telepathy and we're now wanting to use her as a lab test

Yes. That had to be it.

This was bad. Really bad.

Sophie started to slightly shake.

Alden noticed and his smile slightly dimmed.

"Fitz, come here."

The brown haired boy from the gym stepped into the room and smiled at Sophie.

"Your awake!" He said, sounding happy.

Sophie glared at him.

He tipped his head to the side.

"Oh come on? Are you really not gonna forgive me? I had to get you here somehow. And I tried to be nice! I did! But we've been looking for you for so long. I just couldn't let you slip through are fingers again. I'm sorry." He said, slightly rolling his eyes.

"Again?" Sophie croaked.

Alden sighed and his smile dropped.

"Yes, Sophie. Again. For some reason you are a very hard catch."

Catch? He thought she was a catch? Bleh! She'd show him just how slippery she could be.

"I um need to go…" she said, faking embarrassment.

Alden looked confused for a second and then understanding lit and he blushed slightly.

"Oh. Of course. The bathroom is just down the hall on the left."

Sophie stood and suddenly realized- she could walk! Her leg wasn't even in a cast anymore. She pushed the shock of this out of her mind and tried to ignore it as she exited the room. She went down the hall and into the bathroom. It was large and luxurious, but Sophie didn't notice it. All she saw was the huge window.

She grinned to herself and opened it up and slipped out.

She started running almost before her feet hit the ground.

She rushed through the trees until she came to a huge bright gate.

A handsome man with olive toned skin and blonde hair stood just inside of it.

His blue eyes grew huge when he saw her.

Her eyes widened to and she turned to run away from him.

But he caught up quickly and grabbed her.

She tried to scream but he covered her mouth.

"Sophie! Be quiet!" He hissed.

Then he pulled a chain with a purple crystal on the end from his shirt pocket and dragged her into the light that came from it.

A very strange sensation filled Sophie and for a spilt second she was off the ground and couldn't move.

And then it was over and her feet were back on the ground.

Sophie struggled to get away from the man and he let her go.

She stumbled, her head spinning.

When her eyes focused she realized they were standing in her back yard. She stared in shock at the back of the house, and then her legs gave way and she collapsed onto her knees.

Arms were immediately there, softly coddling her close.

She looked up to see her mother holding her close.

"M-mom?" She choked out.

The day had been so awfully wrong and confusing, that Sophie didn't even know if she could trust her own eyes anymore.

Maybe this was all an awful dream and she would wake up real soon.

Her mom rocked slowly back and forth.

"I'm here. It's okay. Your gonna be okay." She whispered over and over.

Tears pricked Sophie's eyes and she clung to her mom for dear life.

Then her father was there.

"Come. We must get out of here. Now."

He said, lifting Sophie into his strong arms.

Someone poured something into her mouth and she swallowed, assuming it was water.

Her head was still spinning and her eyes wouldn't focus.

She wrapped her arms tightly around her fathers neck and closed her eyes. None of this was making since, but she didn't care anymore. She was to tired to care…

Suddenly her eyes flew open.

It had been a sedative!

She tried to yell, fight, do something! But her limbs were being flooded with numbness and she finally gave up and drifted into the dark and safe place the sedation provided.

Sophie awoke to the bump and jolt of a car ride.

She groaned and rubbed her eyes.

"Slow down..." She mumbled.

"She's waking up." She heard her mom say through her foggy brain.

"Know her out again. It's not time."

Her fathers voice replied.

Sophie's  eyes snapped open at this.

Her mother sat in the seat next to her holding a small bottle of purple liquid. She smiled sadly at Sophie.

"Hello, soybean." She said, softly running her hand down Sophie's cheek.

Sophie froze and glared at her.

"I'm not taking another stupid sedative." She said groggley.

"You have to, sweety." Her mother said, sighing slightly.

Sophie stared hard at her, but she couldn't help relaxing a bit at her mother's soft touch and pleading eyes.

Quick as a flash her mother opened the small bottle and held it to Sophie's lips.

"Please…" her mother mouthed silently.

Not really having another choice, she choked the sweet liquid down and laid her head back.

She watched her mother looking down on her with pity as she fell back into darkness.
