Metropolis Hospital, Room 27
1:40p.m.

[DAMIAN'S POV]

Jon's ICU room? It's back? (eyes looking at Jon's bed) Jon's there... and is still breathing... Just infront of me, I noticed Raven sitting there. Her face was filled with confusion and concern. Another thing I noticed from her is that she's not in her regular Raven look. She was wearing a navy blue tank top with a pair of ripped black jeans. She also wore an eye catching silver necklace with a round magenta gem pendant. I've never seen Raven being this casual before. I blinked a couple of times, making sure it was Raven..... It's her.
       I rubbed my face and sat up. I took in a deep breath and run my fingers through my hair.. feeling relieved that it was all just a dream... or a f***ing nightmare.

Raven: What's wrong Damian? You're sweating and.... (looking at Damian's eyes) and why are your eyes red???

It took me a while to open my mouth and speak. My eyes met her dark purple eyes, trying to get some words out.

Me: ... Not--thing... (clear throat) it's just, a nightmare.

Raven: A nightmare? Really? Since when do you--.... oh, I'm sorry.. I didn't mean it like that...

Me: (looking away) whatever, I d-don't care.

Raven: What was the nightmare about?

I knew she was going to ask that. I didn't answer her... and I don't plan on doing so. Not because I don't remember it or it's because I don't trust her... I remembered it from A to Z and I trust her just as much. It's just that, I'm not ready. My voice box felt broken. I can't even put my words together to form a sentence. On the inside, I'm still shaking.. remembering what that thing,

in my nightmare told me. "Nobody likes you". Just the thought of that thing gave me shivers.

Raven: It's ok.. you don't have to tell me if you don't want to. But I'll be here if you want to.

Me: thanks. Not to b-be rude but, w-why are you here? (Shaky voice)

Raven: Dick... He made Kori and I pancakes for breakfast. He told us how you always liked his pancakes so, (Holding up a paper bag with pancakes in it) he thought you might like some for lunch. (Placing the paper bag in front of Damian) When I got here, I noticed you were sleeping... I didn't want to wake you up so I left the pancakes next to you and was about to leave... till you started twitching and screaming out of nowhere. I tried waking you up but you wouldn't so I had to use my powers.

Me: (sigh in relieve) you'll know this later but thank you, Raven.. I really really needed to get out of that nightmare. But I wish you would have woken me up the moment you came.

Raven: How was I suppose to know you were having a nightmare... Jon told me how peaceful you looked whenever you're sleeping... At first I find that hard to believe but then when I saw it earlier today... I believed. (Chuckling)

Me: (one eyebrow up) he said I looked peaceful, while I'm sleeping?

Raven: Yeah. And he's not wrong... (chuckling)

Me: (looked down and released a short chuckle) funny...

Funny because to me, he looks cute... while he's sleeping. First time hearing I looked peaceful while I'm sleeping.... huh.. (Chuckling) good to know J...

Me: Anyways, thanks for bringing over the pancakes. I'll text Grayson my gratitude later...

Raven: Sure. Do you need anything else?

Me: ..... nothing so far. Don't mind me asking but... why are you dressed like that?

Raven: (looked at herself and back to Damian) Kori picked it out for me... we're going to the Mall to do some shopping. It was Dick's idea...

Me: Okay?? So why this choice of clothing? You look like a teenage girl...

Raven: Exactly! That's the look I was going for. I thought of putting aside Gothic Hero Raven for a day, and let out Regular Teenage Raven to have some fun.

Me: uh huh..... alright then... good to know Regular Teenage Raven exist in Gothic Hero Raven... (laughing softly)

Raven: (sarcastic laugh) Ha ha.... don't get used to it.

Me: Wouldn't dream of it...

Raven: (Got up and sighed) okay then.. I'll be going now.. unless, you want me to stay?

Me: no no... you go ahead and carry on your daily activities. I'll be here. (Trying to smile)

Raven: Alright. See you soon Damian. (Opened a portal) (turned her head to face Jon) You too Jon.. (walked in the portal and the portal closed)

Now that Raven has left the room, I lay on back and sighed hard and loud. My eyes travel to the clock on the wall. Its 2:16p.m. right now.. passed lunch time. I can feel my stomach rumbling, telling me that I'm hungry. I got up and stretched my arms while walking towards the window. The rain seemed to have slowed down just a little.. Nice...
      I turned around and walked over to Jon's bedside. His lifeless body still laying there soundly. He hasn't eat or drink anything for nearly a whole day. I can't imagine how hungry he must feel right now. I gently brush his left cheek with my upper fingers. His skin was cold as ice.

Me: I'll be right back. Just gotta eat something.

I took my hand back and walked over to my backpack, taking out my utility belt. I took my wallet and for safety, a couple of gears too. I kept them in my pockets, along with my phone. I took Grayson's pancakes and made my way out of the room. I began walking through the hallway, passing by many other patients ICU rooms and straight towards the elevator. I pressed the arrow pointing down and with a DING, the doors open. No one was in. I got in and pressed for the second floor, where the cafeteria is located.

DING

The doors opened and I walked out of it. A big sign that says "Welcome to the Cafeteria" stood in front of me. Behind the sign were many food counters and a large dining area. Considering this is a hospital cafe, it not that bad. The place wasn't too pack with people, neither was there too little. There were some hospital workers having their meal and conversations. Some patients with their visitors and little kids running about.
