San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge
3:00a.m.

[DAMIAN'S POV]

The moment she said the phone she's holding, belonged to Jon, I turned to face her with my heart beating rapidly. I studied the phone. The phone case had a gold Bat logo on it... It's the phone case that I gave him when I bought him this phone... I reached my hand out towards the phone and took it. I glance at the phone and then back to Raven.

Me: Why are you giving me Jon's phone?

Raven: Well.... back at the hospital, when I was about to make my exit, the nurse that came and told us about Jon's condition, called me out. I paused and turned around. I saw her walking towards me, holding medium size box near to the stomach. She approached me and told that the box she was holding contained Jon's belongings. His hoodie, backpack, watch, his phone and so on... She was suppose to give them to Lois and Superman but apparently, she forgot. She said these belongings should go back to his home because they didn't want to risk any kryptonite dust or particles on these things to be floating around him... She gave them to me, I took it, she thanked me and she turned around, walking away... I didn't waste anytime and opened a portal to Jon's room.. When I got there, I kept the box next to his bed. The sound of Superman and Lois sobbing from the living room could not be missed.  (Looked at Damian) I guess you're not the only who's awake at this hour crying for him...

Me: Stick your topic please......

Raven: (giggle) ok.. I turned around and headed towards the window. I was about to open it and make my exit but a thought stopped me. At first, I stared at the box reflection on the window. Then I turned around, eyeing the actual box. I walked over to it, crouched down and pulled out his phone. Suddenly, an image of you, invaded my mind... and I had a feeling that you might want to hold his phone for a bit...

Me: Why??? (An eyebrow up)

Raven: Well, from his room, I sensed that you were sitting on this bridge, feeling really broken towards Jon's condition. So... I thought maybe, you holding one of his possessions might ease your pain just a slight... And also having a friendly conversation with me.

Me: (low quick chuckle) The friendly conversation kind of, helped.... (sipping Frappuccino)

Raven: Your welcome.. (chuckling) so my part which is to have a friendly conversation with you, is done... now it's your turn.. Maybe looking through his phone might put a smile on your face...

I looked at his phone and pressed the home button. The screen lit up with a Superman S logo and the words saying "Slide to Unlock".. I turned to look at her who was giving me a gentle smile.

Me: Isn't this a complete invasion of someone else's privacy???....

Raven: Kinda... (smirking) I stole a quick look in his phone myself... turns out, he doesn't keep any secrets in there. His phone isn't protected with a password, and there are only three person his contacts, and that is you, and his parents... Other than that, it's just pictures, recorded videos, games, songs and repeat. It's like a very, very, innocent phone. (Chuckling) more innocent than Beast Boy's phone....

Me: I don't think this is gonna help--

Raven: Listen to your heart Damian.. It will help, even a little is so much better than nothing... Who knows, you might even let out a giggle..

I sigh deeply and studied his phone once again. I flipped it over to view the phone case and flipped back to the screen.

Raven: Alright Damian, I'll be going now. (Turned around) Smile a little, ok.. (looking at Damian) Jon will get up soon. I'm sure of it.

Me: I'll try... Thanks, Raven....

Raven: Sure... (standing up)

Raven got up and transformed into her Raven self. She spread her dark wings, wide open, and jumped of the edge, flying away, slowly disappearing into the night. Soon, she was out of sight..

I turned my eyes to his phone. I pressed the home button and used my thumb to slide the screen. The screen now shows his wallpaper.

It's a picture of the both of us. The picture was taken by Dick, if I'm not mistaken... It was right after sending Bane, Two Face, and Penguin to GCP... Staring at the wallpaper got me thinking... perhaps Raven was right, maybe looking through his phone might calm me down. (Sigh) Here goes nothing....
