Metropolis

[JON'S POV]

Dad was right, the first attack was only the beginning. It's happening again! Dad instructed me and mom to stay beneath Wayne Enterprise, but mom isn't here. Where is she?! If she isn't here, I'm not gonna be here! I got out of the building and was horrified by what I see. It looked like Metropolis was ambushed by a huge hurricane, apocalyptic.

The roads were cracked, glasses from buildings shattered and scattered everywhere, cars and other vehicles had been destroyed, fire and smoke blocked the blue sky and worst of all, many injured people all over the place.

Me: Oh No, No, No!!!!

I got off my feets and began flying around the city, using my x-ray vision to search for mom and dad.
So far there isn't any sign of them, just many injured and dead peoples. I'm not being cruel by ignoring all those injured citizens. It's just, my main priority during these kinds of time are my own, friends and family.
After a while, I spotted many League and Titans members. They weren't in good condition. The first to catch my eyes was Wonder Woman, lying on the road, bleeding.

Then there was Hal Jordon, just a few steps away from her.

Then there was Martian Manhunter, lying with his face down on the road. And from the looks of his body and the smoke, he was burned.

Then Cyborg, which I'm guessing his system got fried due to the damages on his robot parts.

Then I spotted a familiar kid, Billy, Shazam. He's out cold on the ground.

And then, Flash, lying next to a crack building wall.

Just farther off North, I spotted the Titans. I landed to check on them. Raven,

Kori,

Beast Boy,

Dick

and many more were down, breathing but out cold. The moment I saw Dick, something struck my mind.

Me: WHERE'S DAMIAN?!?!

I got off my feet and flew to high grounds. This time, I used my x-ray visions full power. I began scanning the city, and after a while, I spotted Batman lying on the road.

I flew towards his direction and landed. I got near him and crouched down. He was brutality injured. His uniform had many slashes, and his cape looked like it was tugged by something sharp. There's blood all over him. I slowly lifted his head up. Thankfully, he began opening his eyes.

Batman: J-Jon? (Coughing blood)

Me: Batman?! Batman! How bad are you? Can you get up? Please! Everyone's down. Wonder Woman, Hal, Barry, the Titans, Dick and many more! Where my mom and dad?! Where's Damian?!?

Batman: (coughing blood) the last I saw your dad, he was carrying your mother away from Daily Planet. Then, nothing..... (coughing) Da-mi-an? Dick?! No... (coughing) No!

Batman tried to get up, but his body failed to do so because of his injuries that were too painful. I placed my hand on his shoulders and gently lay him down.

Me: No No don't get up.. You'll get worse! I'll find help. And, just so you know, Dick is alive, he's just out cold, same as the rest. As for Damian, (tears started welling up) I don't know. I haven't found him or my parents yet.

Batman wanted to say something but he passed out. I placed my fingers on his pulse to see if he was alive or not. Thankfully, he was. I stood up and flew higher up. I activated my x-ray vision once again, and began scanning.
So far noting. I started to panic even more than before, but then I started to recall what Batman said. The last he saw my parents was at Daily Planet. Immediately, I spotted Daily Planet building and flew towards it in hypersonic speed. When I got there, I took in the horrifying view of the surrounding. Half of the Daily Planet building was destroyed. I scanned the area once again. There were many dead people lying on the ground. After a few seconds, I spotted a familiar yellow black cape, and green boots. I spotted Damian!

I landed infront of him in a flash. My eyes popped out with horror as I got closer to him. He was almost in the same condition as the others, only he had it much, much worse. Both his arms were pierced through by daggers,

his uniform was shredded. But worst of all, his own katana, was stabbed right through his stomach. There wasn't a single movement on him. Not at all. Behind his mask, his eyes were closed and his chest wasn't moving. It was pretty clear that he's, dead.
My mouth was covered by my hands. I got down on my knee, closed my eyes and began crying. The tears were coming out endlessly. I opened my eyes and looked down. I see that my knees were sitting on Damian's blood.

(Thunder BANG)

A loud thunder just cracked, but I didn't care about it, or anything else for that matter. With my face covered by tears, and my knees with Damian's blood, I stood up. When I lifted my head and opened my eyes, I got shocked by a large shadow infront of me. I turned around and stood frozen shocked. It was a large creature with spikes covered with blood all over it's body, and his mouth were filled with razor sharp teeths.

(Thunder BANG)

I don't know what's happening to me, I felt completely paralysed. I couldn't move, fly or activate any of my powers. The creatures red eyes stared directly into mine. It then lifted it's right hand, which had a long sharp spike attached to it. The creature then shoved the spike through my body.

Jon's Room

*toy thudd*

Me: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I rose up and opened my eyes. My vision was blurry. I blinked a couple of times and take in my surroundings. I realised that it's night time, and outside is raining heavily. I checked my body and there's no blood, hole and anything injured on me. I'm in my pyjamas, on my bed, in my room. After a while of confusion, I realised that, it was all just a nightmare..... But everything, felt so real.... Damian's death felt so, real. I felt like crying, but I swallowed back the sob and say to myself that it was just a nightmare. The sound that woke me up was my Superman action figure which dropped on the floor, making a thudd sound. I guess it was blown down by the strong wind coming from the outside.

Me: That's weird, I thought I closed the window before I went to bed.....

Oh well, maybe I was too sleepy. I decided to get up and shut the windows. I pushed my blanket away and climb out of bed. While I made my way towards the window, someone spoke out.

??: Sorry to wake you up, but I needed to take refuge from the storm, and your house seems to be the closes. By the way, you're lucky that it's raining now, the volume when you shouted the word No, could have awaken your folks by now.

The room was dark to see who is it, but I know that voice very well. My heart started beating rapidly when I heard that voice. I turned around and see, Damian, in his robin uniform, slightly wet.

Me: Da-Damian?

Damian: The storm seems to be louder than your baby scream. (Low chuckle) Anyways, not to worry, I won't be here long. Another few minutes the rain will slow down and I'll make a move.

The moment I saw Damian, the image of him, dead, from my nightmare, reappeared inside my head. I shaked my head to remove that image. Then I broke down. Suddenly a tight feeling inside me burst and I began crying. I got off my feets and flew towards him, wrapping my arms around his body, and burying my head against his shoulders. My tears were endless, soaking his shoulder.

Damian: (sigh) Again?? What did you dream of this time? If it's another ridiculous--

Me: Please, (sobbing) please, stay.. Don't, go. (Hugging tighter) Please... Just for tonight.
