" The book is a love story, it’s about a guy called Bradley having a hard time choosing between three girls Lily, Rose and Violet.  So… the two of them ; Lily and Rose confess their feelings to him but Violet didn’t seem to care at all; He tries hard to get her to like him and the  story shows the struggles he faces in his attempts to make her his." He finishes and my eyes travelled the room internally laughing at everyone so captivated by him.  Our eyes met for a moment and I saw something swirling inside them , or I thought I saw .He flashes me that half smile of his and the tiny people in my stomach started tap dancing with the rhythm of my heart.

Dillan, what are you doing to me?

I smile back at him.
Mrs. Jones whispers something in his ears, and he nods his head vigorously agreeing to whatever she told him. They spent moments speaking to each other in their hushed conversations and then she finally speaks "Okay... it’s settled then! Veronica please take note of this as I speak" I stab my paper with my pen as she assigns each of us with our characters and partners.
"I’ve mentioned that Dillan himself will be participating , Veronica  can you please read it aloud for all of us  one more time ; in case I’ve got anything wrong or if anyone has missed their partners and characters ."

Veronica Fekadu with……"I couldn’t believe what I wrote "Veronica Fekadu with... Dill" I shoved down the lump in my throat "with Dillan Kenzo himself." I plastered a fake smile across my face and kept reading " Yossi James with Zed Lukas."
I take my seat and glance at Mrs. Jones to continue.
As she spoke my mind kept wondering if he was the one who asked her to team me up with him.

Is that what they were talking about?

Before I know it; our class was over, and I was walking out heading to the cafeteria to meet Tori.
"You heading to the cafeteria?" His voice rumbled around  startling me.
"Oh! shit sorry!" He immediately apologizes.
"Yes, I was heading to the cafeteria. Doesn't it seem so?"My answer comes out sharp edged than I thought.
He eyes me up and down "I was going there; thought I should ask you for tea …or coffee or whatever you like, I mean I texted you last night if you wanted to go there with me, but you didn’t reply back." he sighs clearly shocked by my reaction.
Oh shit! I must’ve dozed off talking to him. And many thanks to Tori, I forgot to reply in the morning.

And did he just ask me for tea?

It’s not a date dummy! He’s just being nice to you.

My subconscious reminds me.
"Yeah sure." This time I made sure I had a smile on my face.
