I thought I was bulletproof,
until the bullet passed straight through me.
I thought I was rust-proof,
until I got all rusted up.

I thought I was versatile,
until I failed again.
I thought I was juvenile,
until I had to make my own decision.

I thought I was alive,
until I realised I was just breathing.
I thought I would survive,
until I burned myself, no more breathing.
