Chapter 9: Ayesha

"Good morning Saha!" Sarika entered Sahana's room with a big smile.

"Good morning mum, looking very happy? Something worth sharing?"

"Nah, it's nothing like that."

"Mum, spill it out. Now!" Sahana looked at Sarika suspiciously.

Sarika knew very well that it was never a good idea to lie to Sahana because she always used to catch them.

"Actually me and Devika were thinking that... You and Rishi look good together. Both are single. I think you should...." Sarika trailed off suggestively and Sahana rolled her eyes.

"Please don't say that you guys were thinking of changing your friendship to a relationship. Because I am not into it." Sahana threw up her hands.

"But..  what is the problem?"

"Problem... You are asking me problem...  Rishi is the problem. He is so immature. It will be like I am his nanny or something. He is annoying and infact you are also annoying me right now. If you have something else to talk about then please change the topic otherwise I don't want to talk about this." Sahana burst out angrily.

"You are just like your father. Stubborn!" Sarika left the room fuming with anger.

Closing the door Sahana sat down with her back on the door. Counting to 20 she calmed herself down and started feeling guilty.

I shouldn't have talked like that to mum. I should apologize.

She was thinking this when there was a knock on the door.

"Saha.. open the door. It's urgent." Sanaya's voice came from other side.

"Why are you so tensed Sannu?" Sahana asked opening the door and Sanaya entered the room and started pacing up and down.

"Saha... I am sorry. Actually Ayesha is coming. Today."

"Sannu.... It's ok. It's fine. That is an old matter. I am over it now." Sahana calmed Sanaya but she still wasn't sure.

"Promise?"

"Promise! Now I have to go to mum." Sahana replied with a smile.

Ayesha... Ayesha Verma. Cousin of Sahana and Sanaya. They were in the same school along with Saral. She never had any contact with Sahana since she went to Ohio. Ayesha is now a model.

After sometime Sahana talked to her mom and clearly told her that she doesn't wants to marry now so she shouldn't be forced.

As she was coming back from her mom's room she saw a car stopping and out came Ayesha.

This is going to be hard.

Ayesha met everybody and then moved to Sahana. Both stood there awkwardly.

"Hi." Ayesha spoke after a minute.

"Hey Ayesha." Sahana greeted her.

It was followed by an awkward silence again. Sarika asked Sahana to show Ayesha her room.

"Long time... Isn't it Ayeshu?" Sahana decided to start the conversation this time.

"Yeah. How are you? Jewelry designer. This was unexpected."

"Yes. It was a sudden love for jewelries. But you are a model. We always knew that. Perfect figure since school time." Sahana complimented her.

"Saha... while we are at it... I wanted to apologize to you... you know... about!!" Ayesha looked at Sahana to read her emotions.

"It's ok Ayeshu... We were kids... We were silly... If it wouldn't have happened on prom night it would have happened some other time... All is forgiven and forgotten." Sahana's face had no hint of anger.

"Are you sure? If you are angry I understand. I mean Vilas was your boyfriend... Then he cheated on you with me.... I was very guilty... I tried to call you a lot of times but chickened out. I was scared about attending this marriage too. I didn't follow the sis code of 'Sister before Mister'.... " Ayesha looked down on the floor in embarrassment.

"I told you Ayeshu... Let it go... We can't go back and correct it. Infact you saved me from that cheater. It was good that you came here. At least we cleared."

"Are you sure? If you are still angry... I...." Ayesha started speaking but Sahana cut her.

"Uff Ayesha... for God's sake.... just say thank you and hug me before I change my mind."

Both the girls giggled and hugged each other when Sanaya entered the room, "Haww witches. Having a moment without me... How can you?"

She sat down with a pout and Ayesha opened her arms, "Oh come on drama queen!" All three hugged each other and then picked up a glass of water to make the toast, "To the three witches!"

"To the three witches!" That was the best moment for them. All three were together without any fights or misunderstandings.

"Anyway Ayeshu and Saha let's go to the recreation room. "

The recreation room was a beautiful hall with all types of indoor games and indoor bar. Rishi and Saral were already there playing darts.

"Let's play billiards. Saral wanna have a game?" Sanaya asked her fiancé who nodded in denial. "Nope you always win in it. Let's have a match of darts. Any one of you against Rishi?"

Sahana went forward and took the darts from Saral's hand. Rishi looked at her amused. Both fist bumped each other to wish each other luck.

Rishi went first and threw the darts one after another making the score 250. This was tough to beat but Sahana took her position confidently. Two darts had hit the exact point making the score 200 and there went the last dart. Everybody cheered as the last dart had also hit the centre point making her score 300.

Rishi went for another round. Sahana was observing him from behind. As soon as Rishi positioned his hand Sahana spoke, "Position your hand at right angle. Eyes should always be at the aim and not at the dart." She held his hand as he threw the dart and it hit the bull's eye.

"Sahana... Thanks for that." Rishi thanked her as she nodded. His eyes fell on Ayesha who was playing billiards. The flirt Rishi took over him and he moved to her.

"Hi beautiful!" He chirped near her. "So ready for a game?" Ayesha nodded and took her stick when Rishi spoke again, "Let's play it my way. If I win I get a coffee date with you. Agree?"

"Ok but if I win you will buy a dress from Gucci for me and also a perfume. What say?"

Both started the game and everybody was looking at them.

"Ok one shot and I win." Ayesha declared happily but Rishi gave his trademark smirk, "You wish baby!"

He slowly hit the ball and with that he won the game. "So coffee date..... Maybe tomorrow?" Rishi winked at her and she blushed.

Later all five of them sat on the couches talking to each other.

"Rishi... Do you know in the whole school only two guys could talk to Sanaya and Ayesha... Only me and another friend of ours Vilas. Otherwise Sahana used to become Bodyguard Sahana Verma and beat up every other guy who approached them." Saral looked at Sahana who smiled.

"Yes Saha do you remember when Anuj gave me a rose on valentines day and you had beaten him so hard.... At the end he had to change the school. Saha was very protective of us." Ayesha added and Sahana laughed.

"Oh so it was you who had beaten Aman when he had proposed me. From that day he had started calling me sister." Sanaya asked Sahana who looked confused.

"No... I mean it could have been somebody else's work too... you know!" Saral said hastily and Sanaya's eyes widened, "It was you... you had beaten him... why?" She asked Saral who shrugged his shoulders innocently, "What? I did the right thing. Nobody looks at my girl." Sanaya smiled and blushed.

"She was so not your girl at that time. You are a foul player." Ayesha snapped at Saral.

"Oh please she was my girl since we were friends." Saral shot back at Ayesha and a fun banter started in them.

"Sahana... why did you keep this guy in your group?" Rishi asked Sahana and looked at him and Ayesha who were ready to pull each other's hair.

"In school he was like an angel... I never realized that he will be a devil in disguise." Sahana laughed and Ayesha high fived her. Sanaya playfully hit her arm while Saral narrowed his eyes at her.

Rishi was just looking at Sahana.... Is she actually his type or is he overthinking?
