Chapter 12.

Predaking seemed surprised by her answer, looking down at the small female Predacon in front of him. Sarah, or Springlock, looked baffled at her own answer.
"He did not? Might I ask who did?" He asks her.
"Uh, that is classified. But it was not Shockwave I can say that." She answered.
The Predacon king nodded as a means of respect, a slight smile upon his face. He took her by the hand and lead her through the minefield of remains, leading her out of the graveyard. Springlock looked as if she were about to blush, yet she did not. Predaking released her hand as they exited the graveyard, the little golden bunny looked out at the boneyard they were just within.
"Predaking, may I ask you something?" Spring shyly asks.
Predaking turned his head to her, nodding.
"Why exactly do you reside here? Doesn't it pain you to see yo-our ancestors in such a state? You don't have to answer if you don't want to." She said sheepishly.
Predaking sighed, "As much as it pains me to see our kind laying among us as skeletons, I had once hoped for them to all flourish and walk the soils of this planet once again."
Sarah/Springlock placed her smaller grey clawed hand on the King's forearm, her ears fell and she gave him a sympathetic look.
"Our kind was once a wonderful race, and unfortunately The Great Cataclysm wiped us out millennia ago. Sometimes, life desires a clean slate to create something new. That's what I've seen upon planet Earth, the dinosaurs thrived until something wiped them all out. Then multiple new species began to thrive, such as humans. Maybe thats why Autobots and Decepticons exist." She said.
Predaking rolled his optics at the mention of Autobots and Decepticons.
"I trust neither of the current day's factions." The King turned and began to walk away.
Springlock's ears perked as she then jogged to keep up with him.
"I understand why you don't trust Decepticons, they plotted the destruction of the clones for your army because they feared you ALONE! The Autobots were lured there and they may have destroyed our brethren, but that wasn't their intention!" She said.
Predaking stopped dead, the little golden Predacon halted and stepped back. He turned around to look at her.
"How could you possibly know such a thing? You were informed by one of the factions, weren't you?" His tone was harsh.
"What? No No! I know because....well...it's complicated and sounds rather farfetched." She rubbed the back of her head.
Predaking looked rather displeased, turning away from her with a snarl.
"For a Predacon, you behave much like a Decepticon." He hissed without looking at her.
Springlock's bright blue optics widened in shock, she covered her mouth as black tears began to fill her eyes. It must have struck a nerve, because she then began to cry. It caused Predaking to stop and turn back towards the small crying Predacon, unsure of what she was doing. She had buried her face into her hands, sniffling and sobbing hysterically.
"I'm not like one of them! I swear! I'm a kind hearted Predacon who is only here to ask for help!!" She exclaimed, her voice muffled by her hands.
Predaking's optics widened at how hysterical she was, making him regret saying his hurtful words. Although he was baffled as to respond to Sarah's crying, he made an attempt to comfort her by coming to her side, placing his large clawed hand upon her back below her wings. This caught her attention and she lifted her face out of her hands, looking at the large male Predacon kneeling beside her.
"What do you need assistance with?" He asked calmly.
Springlock sniffled and wiped one of her tears away.
"Decepticons took 2 of my best friends and my family away from me...I-I don't know where they are and I have to find them soon, or else..." Her voice was shaky as she was upset.
Predaking said nothing as the small female Predacon continued to sob, patting her back gently. Although he had no clue what he was doing, he seemed to be doing it right. Because Springlock truly seemed to be calming down.
"Who are your friends, and your family?" He asks.
"Well...I know you won't like this, but my 2 friends are Autobots. They treated me with much kindness and respect, so they are not as bad as you may think." She sounded much calmer now.
The male Predacon looked annoyed, but he sighed.
"And as for your family? Are they Predacons as well?" Predaking asks.
Springlock sighed, "No. Would you believe me if I said I was human?"
Predaking was puzzled by her response, not expecting her to say that. He looked her up and down, head to toe, front to back, side to side. The King could still not comprehend what she had meant, as she appeared as a full on Predacon. Springlock watched him look all over her body, searching for something indicating human in any way. She giggled at him as it proved he did not believe it, wiping more tears away.
"Preda, I'm serious. I was human once." She said.
He looked back into her blue eyes, an optic ridge raised.
"That barely seems plausible. There is nothing human about you, little one." Predaking stood.
"I know. See these?" She pointed to the gems above where her collarbone would be.
Predaking saw them and nodded.
"Well, these are gems with mystical powers. They all represent a different trait. This one is Courage, this one is bravery, this one Kindness, this one Selflessness, this one Determination and this one is Love." She pointed to them in order.
"And this one?" He placed a single claw upon the hot pink gem.
"That one represents Empathy. Altogether, these gems turned me into what stands before you now." She explained.
Predaking still seemed skeptical, which was reasonable. But Springlock was patient.
"I understand if you're still skeptical. Heck, I wouldn't believe it either if it didn't happen to me. I'm one of those 'I'll believe it when I see it' kind of people." She said playfully.
"As am I. So you ask me to assist you in liberating your loved ones?" He asks.
She nods, "Yes. I ask because you're one of the biggest and baddest fighters out there! The Decepticons would run for the hills if they saw you!"
Predaking seemed very flattered by her statement, another slight smile coming upon his face followed by a chuckle.
"You truly think that?" The male Predacon asks.
She nods once again, "And maybe we can ask the other 2 living Predacons to help too! The more help the better."
The King thought to himself, Springlock awaited his response.
"Very well, if we can locate them." He replied.
"Wait, I have an idea of where they might be." She said as she spread her wings.
Predaking then transformed into his beast mode, spreading his massive wings. Springlock almost squealed but held it together.
"Follow me!" She took off into the air.
The male Predacon took off and followed her.
