"Abby!!" Ruthie was the first soul to find me.

I stood in the foyer for but a moment then sunk to the floor hugging the princess to my body, I missed the little girl. Running fingers through her locks I smiled as she told me all about her trip. Ruthie's voice rose wildly when she started talking about the adventures and a few people turned and moved to the foyer; none of whom I had met.

A few minutes passed and Jim found me knelt on the floor surrounded by Ruthies arms and now legs hugging me to her.

"Abigail" Jim smiled then frowned, worried to my presence this late in the eve no doubt. I stood with Ruth in my arms.

"Mister James, you're looking well, much better. That's good to see" Ruthie dropped down and pulled me to the kitchen after her to show off a new piece of artwork she had created.

Jim trailed after us, followed by Paul then John.

"And this is the horse I rode, her name was Claret, as she has very dark red hair" Ruth tittered about the kitchen gathering the many drawings of her holiday.

"They are wonderful Ruthie, you are a talented artist!" I smiled at her and looked at the next drawing.

"And here is a picture of Paul and John and Ringo and George. George is hungry so he has a sandwich" Ruth pointed at all the boys in her drawing and I frowned then smiled as she looked for my nod of approval which I gave easily to her.

"Ok Ruth let's get you into bed, say your goodnights. Abigail good to see you luv. I'll see you soon ok?" Angie smiled kindly and I returned the greeting with a smile, I felt I might just have to put on happiness but I loved Angie and Ruthie even with all the deceit I couldn't help my feelings.

But on the whole I was still unsure of the whole Beatles ruse.

"Oh perhaps not, I won't be here overly long" I called after Angie as she walked up the stairs, three sets of eyes on me.

I stood and looked around the kitchen nothing much had changed except there was now a girl standing at the sink washing up, a little younger than I am, she glanced awkwardly at me as I stood watching her wash the many glasses from the party.

"Hello, you must be Mister James... Jim's, new housekeeper. I'm Abigail. I'll just collect my bits and pieces from the bedsit if you don't mind" Part of me couldn't believe I was replaced so quickly but the other part of me grimaced at the facts.
I could, couldn't I. I could be replaced just like that.

I was the housekeeper, not the mother, not a sister, not a child, you can't throw family away and replace them with ease, but a housekeeper.

A dime a dozen.

I didn't give the lass time to talk, just fled out the back to the bedsit.

Opening the door slowly and finding the switch I readied myself for the new girl's invasion of my room. I quickly scanned the space and couldn't believe what I was seeing- nothing- no hairbrush or clothing, no toiletries or makeup. I opened a drawer- nothing.

She didn't live here.... yet.
