If I die young
I want my bedroom
and what it contains
to be spread evenly
between my brother
and my mother
and my dad
and my Aunite Lynette
and my Uncle Gerold.
I want my items
cherished
and past down
through generation
and generation
of our family,
and I want my
story told
often on Christmas nights.
I want my
dolls to go to Aunite,
my clothes to her
baby coming soon,
my movies and
posters to Brother,
my jewelry to Mother,
my stuffed animals
to Papa,
my writing to Uncle.
Don't throw anything
but the pizza boxes
and juice cartons
and old clothes
and crumpled paper
away.
