I barely register the gentle hand that touches my shoulder.

I barely notice how the scenery transforms to darkness.

I barely notice the hazy figure of Alo stood before me.

Four people are happy. One person is not.

My family are happy. Tamara is not.

Tamara is dead.

Salty tears still stream down my pale face.

"We're not finished yet." Alo says, gently.

I glare at him. "Why? I've seen enough! I know almost everyone is going to be fine. Except Tammi, but it's a sacrifice. One for the many. It's better than life at the moment."

He gazes at me, a dismal look consuming his hazel eyes. "Oakley. Everything is not what it seems."

Everything is not what it seems.

What does he mean by that?

"Just remember that." He adds, before retrieving a list from his back pocket.

"What's that?" I ask, confused.

"Oakley, didn't you know, curiosity killed the cat?" He smirks.

"Well, good thing the cat had nine lives" I retort. "Now what is it?"

"A list."

"Of...?" I urge him to continue.

"People. People who you've effected." His eyes scan the page. "Well... The next person is, Cayden Jones."

I stare at him.

Cayden Jones?

Who the hell is he?
