Chapter 25: Thanks, Angel

Elizabeth's POV

"Good morning, babe," a sexy voice purred in my ear. I turned my head slowly and found Blake laying next to me with just a robe on; my red satin robe.

Seeing Blake made me remember last night. I couldn't believe what had happened...

|Last night|

"Liz, can you please turn up the heat?!" Max asked with an angry tone as he crossed his arms. He was wearing nothing but his undershirt and his boxers.

"Turn it up? It's boiling in here!" Xavier said sarcastically with a evil smile.

"Why are you so hard on him, Xavier? Let him win or something; make him feel better!" Sophie said as she got up to get a blanket for Max.

"It's not my fault your boyfriend sucks at strip poker!" Xavier yelled in return with a hint of a laugh.

"Rules are rules," Blake added. Then he darted his head at me.

I was not so good, either. I had taken off my shirt (I wore an undershirt underneath), socks, and shorts. Good thing today was the day I decided to wear leggings underneath them.

"Can we just go, Xavier? I'm tired, and cold," Abby said to Xavier, giving her puppy eyes.

"Just one more game?"

"This behavior is what leads to gambling addiction. Abby, you better stop this now before it gets worse," Sophie said.

"Fine, let's go, Abs."

"Bye, guys! See ya on Monday!" I yelled out to my friends as they waved bye. Then they got into the guys' cars and drove off.

I felt a warm figure creep up next to me and I was grasped in his shoulders. Blake. I was so glad we were alone; we hadn't been alone together since our first date, and that happened a week ago.

"Hey, you wanna go inside and get comfortable?" He asked slyly when he made eye contact with me. I could feel myself blushing as I smiled.

We walked back inside and Blake closed the door before he plopped down on the couch and patted the seat to welcome me to sit with him. I did as told and cuddled next to him before he started speaking again.

"Weren't you supposed to be at a sleepover yesterday?" Blake asked. He was referring to the one Karenella invited me to.

"Don't even get me started, Blake," I said as we got more comfortable by laying down together.

"Oh, Lizzy. You make me laugh," Blake said with a chuckle. I smiled brightly, but he didn't see it since he was laying behind me.

Blake took my hand and kissed it ever so gently, then entwined his fingers with mine. "Let's play a game," Blake suggested.

I flipped myself over to face him. "Like what?" I asked. I could see that Blake had a plan just by looking into his eyes.

"Strip poker, of course!" He said as he sat up. Blake leaned over to the coffee table in front of us and picked up the deck of cards we all had been playing with.

"But it doesn't make sense to play strip poker with only two people. We would just be taking each other's clothes off..." And I finally realized what Blake was doing.

Blake sat up and gave me his signature smirk. I have to say, he looked pretty irresistible in just a pair of jeans and a tight undershirt. I could see that he had worked out lately, and that his chest was bare. It took everything I had not to drool over him.

"Well, let's just cut the middle man and... strip," Blake purred in my ear before he leaned over and nuzzled my neck.

I reached out and grabbed Blake's shirt tight and pulled him closer to me.

"I-I was just joking; you don't have to do this, Li-,"

"But I want to." Blake's eyes softened before he kissed me. It was a gentle but passionate kiss. Blake pushed me on my back with the kiss and started to run his hand along my waist. He was so gentle with his touch.

I rapped my legs around Blake's waist, making him stop the kiss to look at me; he was surprised again.

To help him out, I pulled his shirt, making us fall back into a stronger kiss. Then Blake slowly moved down to my neck, kissing and nuzzling. It kind of tickled, but it felt good.

I bit back a moan when Blake thrusted forward by accident. To distract me from that, I started to pull Blake's undershirt off him. When Blake noticed what I was doing, he stopped, sat up, and pulled it off quickly. I felt like I was going to die.

I know I've seen Blake topless before, but he looked even more muscular and he was sweating a little. He had a perfect six-pack and was perfectly tanned from the beach. What did I do to deserve a guy with a perfect body?

Blake smiled because he saw me staring at him. "Your turn."

Then I heard I thud at the front door. Blake and I looked at each other before I decided to get up and go and check what it was. But then I realized I wasn't wearing a real shirt. I turned back around and looked at Blake. He looked around, grabbed his hoodie, and tossed it to me. It had to do. I slipped it on and headed to the door.

I slowly opened it and Angel fell onto the floor. He had been leaning on the door.

"Angel? What's wrong with you?" I knelt down and tried to get him to sit up. "Blake? Can you come over for a second? I need your help," I asked Blake.

"No can do, Elizabeth. Oh, wait, yes I can. Give me a second," Blake said. When he came to Angel and I, he was wearing my red robe. And I don't think he was wearing anything underneath.

"Oh, Blake! Why'd you do that? You know what? Nevermind. Just help me get Angel up."

Angel was like dead weight. We had to pull him onto the couch so he could sit up. When Angel saw us sitting on the coffee table in front of him, he sighed and became upset with himself.

"Oh, no! Were you two having sex?! I can't believe I interrupted intercourse. I'm such a dweeb," he said. Angel was clearly drunk.

"Angel, you didn't interrupt anything. What happened to you?" Blake asked him.

"I went to the *hiccup* karaoke bar and sang shit like Hopelessly Devoted To You and Summer Nights. And I don't know if you have noticed, but I'm very drunk," Angel whispered.

"We've noticed," I said to him. "But why? Why did you go to the bar alone?"

"Because I *hiccup* died today inside. Cecile is gone, and I'm a heartbroken jerk. Are you keeping up with me?"

"What do you mean Cici's gone, Angel?" Blake asked.

"I mean she when to Connecticut early 'cuz she got into Yale! She wanted to leave as soon as she got her letter back. And I tried to stop her at the *hiccup* airport, but she walked away from me and got on the flight. I lost her, guys. I really screwed up this time."

The three of us sat in silence for a while, just absorbing what Angel had told us. I couldn't believe that Cici didn't give Angel another chance, and that she didn't say goodbye to any of us. It's like she wanted a whole new life.

|Next morning|

"Whoa! I got one bad hangover!" Angel yelled as he crawled away from the open window. He had slept on the floor last night because he didn't want Melody to see him drunk.

"Dude! Can I seduce my girlfriend at least once without you screwing up the moment?!" Blake yelled at Angel.

"I'm heartbroken! You can't yell at me!" Angel yelled back.

"You wanna go? Not only are you gonna have your heart broken, but I'ma break everything else that isn't broken in your body," Blake warned. I started to laugh at them.

"I'm sorry I've been such a third wheel lately. I'm gonna go," Angel said as he stood up.

"No, Angel. Stay. We'd love to help you out," I told him.

"We? I didn't agree to this," Blake said as he got off my bed.

"Be nice. Let's watch some Fault in Our Stars and Papertowns. That's exactly what you need, Angel."

Until next time!
