As always, after practice, Hamano and Hayami went fishing. It was a hot evening for once. The two boys were fishing but no fish bit. That was a bit strange because even Hamano couldn't catch any. The evening was becoming even hotter and the two boys were sweating a lot. A few minutes later, a man showed up and saw the two boys sweating but fishing. "Good evening young boys." Started the man. "Looks like you're thirsty huh ? Here, take this." He handed two cans for Hamano and Hayami. They hesitated to take it. How could they believe a stranger ? "Aw come on, you're thirsty. And your vision of the world will change after this !" Hayami and Hamano looked at each other then decided to take the cans. Thay both started to drink and they were feeling revived after drinking.

They would have loved to thanks the man, but he wasn't there anymore. Then they restarted their fishing session. A few minutes later "Man, I'm not feeling well..." Said Hamano weakly. He looked at Hayami and saw him laying on the floor unconscious. "Hayami ?! Are you okay ?!!" He yelled. But no answer. Hamano tried to ask help to the woman who held the fishing spot, but he fainted. The woman came by after have heard someone yelling. She saw the two boys unconscious and calls the hospital.

Next morning, the two boys woke up in the hospital not knowing what happened just before. The team was in the room waiting for them to wake up. "Huh ? Where are we ?" Asked Hayami confused. "You're at the hospital. Yesterday you fainted. The doctors want to examine both of you to find what happened." Answered the coach. "Do you remember what happen before you fainted ?" Asked Otonashi-sensei. "Huh........ Kinda. I remember a man giving us something to drink but that's all. But why all those questions ?I mean, yeah, sure it's strange and all that but, we're fine so its okay no ?" Said Hayami with a big smile. Literally, something that never happened. "Right Hamano ?" "..... Y-yeah... You're right... But.. What if it was something like poison or... I don't know, but something that might kill us ?" Said Hamano who looks emotionless. The whole team was shocked. All of them knew something wrong was happening.

Someone was watching them. "So it does work huh ? Fine. So now the experimentation can start."
