BLM still matters.
Idk why people treated this like an only 2020 thing or a tread it's something where blacks get discriminated against all over the world. Many blacks have died because of their skin color. While yes some of them do have dark backgrounds most of the time it was something they did years ago. I understand if they were forced to do community service or even thrown into jail for a bit, but outright killing them, especially in public, is absolutely insane.
Protests are great to spread more awareness to BLM. I know that some of them have gotten violent and that has made BLM have a bad reputation. Most people who attend BLM protest are there for peaceful protesting, the violent ones are horrible when they hurt others. I am so sorry if you, your family, friends, or people you know got hurt by a BLM protest, but please understand that those people who have harmed someone you know aren't people who care about the events happening. BLM is meant to be peaceful, not violent.

Asians. (coming from one)
I feel like the topic of Asians has gotten more attention recently. Mainly because of COVID but I would like to step away from the COVID topic for a sec.
Asians have been pushed in the streets, been held a gunpoint, and Asian elders have been assaulted. These are only some of the physical assaults Asians have gone through, not to mention the verbal abuse. I have been a victim of this at a young age, and it's to the point where I don't even notice it as often because it is so normalized. Asian businesses have been robbed and vandalized because "well COVID came from Asia" YES COVID CAME FROM ASIA HOW ARE YOU HANDLING IT. Asia has done its best to handle it when it started, why yes they did try and cover it up any other country would have done the same. People have traveled from Asia to somewhere else and it has spread, now it's our turn as citizens of wherever to handle it. "Don't throw the responsibility on us" we live on the same planet, everything someone else does to harm our home we need to help fix it.

Oh and in case you forget: ASIANS ARE PEOPLE OF COLOR WE ARE NOT WHITE

Also, Asians are not trying to take the spotlight away from BLM. Where did this even come from? Asians are not taking any spotlight. Trying to spread awareness for other POC's is perfectly fine. Someone dying for no reason is something we should talk about.

I'm not going to talk about white people to the fact that I feel like I'm biased and I live in America. Basically, a queer gal who lives in America thinks about stuff very differently.

My heart goes out to the people who have died for no reason. Blacks, Asians, Hispanics, and any race.

I don't like to talk about this a lot because IK this is a sensitive topic. I want to be a safe person that anyone can talk to and get away from all of the hell and arguments you may be going through. Please know that I'm here and PM if you need anything.
