Chapter 14
"He's coming!" Tamera yells from the entrance door.
Kevin can't stop laughing as Liam curses out loud from inside his room. Nerdy Sarah walks out, brushing her long raven hair with her fingers. I stand in front of my door with my key in hand, ready to lock the couple inside.
The curvy black girl has a sour expression on her diamond-shaped face. "This is ridiculous," she says, crossing her arms under her breasts.
Liam groans, walking out of his room. "I know, but I don't want to deal with Noel for now." He sneaks an arm around her waist, kissing her forehead and her face lights up.
Tamera rushes inside the hallway, going straight to the kitchen.
Noel is here.
Liam and Sarah don't waste time and slip inside my bedroom.
"Oh God, my stomach hurts," Kevin says from the kitchen, trying to calm down his loud laugh.
"You're no help," I say, locking the door before joining him and Tamera.
I quickly sit on the chair, passing the key to Kevin, who puts it on his pants' pocket. Bailey is sitting in front of me, using his phone as his long leg starts poking mine. Meanwhile, Tamera is walking around the kitchen, making herself a mug of tea.
Kevin couldn't keep his mouth shut and revealed to Noel what Liam has been doing with Sarah, and now we have a pissed-off Noel bursting inside our flat.
"Heart!" he yells, walking straight inside his bedroom.
I shake my head at the whole situation. I was supposed to finish my assignment with Kevin. Instead, here we are, doing nothing because of Liam. Noel gets out of the room, slamming the door shut and marching toward us.
"Where is he?" he growls.
Kevin turns around in his chair. "First of all, calm down, mate. This is not your flat."
His grey eyes narrow at his friend. "Don't start, Bailey. Where's Liam?"
"You're being dramatic for nothing," Tamera comments, dipping the teabag in her black mug.
"Please. You sleep with Andros' girls just to get back at him. You can't talk for shit."
Tamera rolls her hazelnut eyes. "What Andros and I do are none of your business, but you wanting to fight Liam is just ridiculous. Sarah doesn't give a fuck about you."
"She clearly doesn't now since I didn't even get the chance to make a move before he stole her from me."
"Please. You know damn well that's not how it went," Kevin says, standing up. He halts in front of Noel, crossing his bulky arms across his chest. "Sarah texted him first."
Noel mimics his position. "I don't give a fuck about what she did. He knew my intentions with her and still went behind my back. Now, where the fuck is he?"
The boys are glaring at each other, clenching their jaws as they wait for the other to back down. "You're not seeing him until you calm the fuck down," Kevin's voice drops, becoming even lower than usual.
"Watch me." Noel turns around and starts opening the other bedroom doors.
I stand up, going after him, my heart loud in my ears. "Noel, don't you think you're overreacting?"
"Don't interfere."
"How can I not when you're walking in and out of our rooms." I swallow a lump when he tries to push my door open but can't.
He turns toward me. "Is this your room?"
"What about it?" I ask, feeling the adrenaline sparking my body up.
"Open it."
"No."
He walks up to me as Kevin pushes me behind him. "Get out."
"I swear, Bailey, if you—"
"Open the door," Liam says from the other side.
Kevin shakes his head. "Liam—"
"Just do it," Liam insists, cutting him off.
My heart sinks, watching Noel's pursing lips turn into a smirk. "The coward finally decided to show his face," he says as Kevin unlocks the door with a resting scowl on his face.
The second Liam opens the door, Noel jumps on him. He throws a punch that Liam dodges wide-eyed as everybody gasps. "You dickhead," Noel growls before grabbing Liam's shirt and slamming him against my wardrobe.
"She already made her choice, mate," Liam says, grinning, "I can't believe you're doing all of this for a damn girl."
"You were supposed to be my friend," Noel spats, slamming his body once again.
"I am your friend, but you can't expect me to push all the girls when you haven't made a single move yet. Calling dibs on them doesn't count."
Kevin walks backward, pulling Sarah and me out of my bedroom. We watch in silence the two friends talking to each other until the door shuts.
"Boys. They throw hands for five minutes and then hug each other out." Tamera sighs before sipping on her mug.
"I'm so embarrassed at this whole thing. Sorry guys," Sarah says, looking down at her sneakers.
I smile, shaking my head. "Don't blame yourself for it. It's all them."
Kevin grabs my hand, taking my attention. "Should we study at mine? Their situation is getting solved anyway," he says.
I beam, eagerly nodding.

My keyboard clicks, responding to my fast fingers and filling the silence. Kevin has a Macbook, so his keyboard doesn't produce as much sound like mine.
I'm lying on the bed on my stomach with Kevin's legs over my back. His back is pressed against the wall, his laptop is on his lap, and one hand is aimlessly playing with one of my braids.
When I come to a dead-end of the short story, I close my laptop, releasing a sigh as I let my head rest on it.
"Stuck?" Kevin softly asks.
I nod. "Yeah, I need the last therapy, and I'm finally done. I'm pretty sure I'll end up writing five thousand words more than the minimum. I feel proud."
"Good job. I'm actually done with mine."
I frown, turning my head enough to look up at Kevin. "How are you done?"
He smiles, closing his computer. "Therapy was just an inspiration. I can write fiction, which I did."
"Can I read it?"I wiggle my eyebrows, making him laugh.
"Not yet. I want to read yours too."
"Alright then, once I'm done, we'll exchange our work. Deal?"
He puts his laptop on the bedside table before hovering over my frame to kiss my shoulder. "Deal," he murmurs, making me have goosebumps.
I shift my body, turning on my back, admiring the beautiful view, looking at me with hunger behind those emerald eyes. I quietly grab the back of Kevin's neck, pulling him down until our lips meet.
Kevin kisses me back, releasing a hum that makes me clasp my legs. The low sound fires my body, aching for his touch. I grab onto his tensed shoulders for dear life and moaning when he slips his tongue past my lips.
He groans as I manage to open my legs and lace them around his waist. His hard erection presses against my wet sex, and I shudder at the thickness of it.
"Fucking hell," he breathes out before grinding against me, making my clit pulsate in need. My mouth kisses the corner of his lips before trailing down to his neck, enjoying another grunt that comes out of him as he continues to roll his hips, increasing my arousal by the second.
I want him.
Now.
My hands move downward, feeling his hard chest, abs, and the straining bulge in his pants. I unbutton him as we kiss once more and I moan, feeling his covered dick in my hand. Holy shit, I think he's packed. Just feeling him through his boxers makes me assume that he's thicker than usual. Kevin moans, and I grab his boxers, eager to touch the naked dick.
A bigger hand grabs mine, stopping me. Kevin pulls away from my swollen lips. "We can't," he whispers, pushing my hands away from his pants.
My pussy is throbbing for him, and he says that we can't. What the fuck?
"What do you mean, we can't?"
Kevin shakes his head, sitting on his knees as he passes a hand through his buzz-cut hair. "I'm sorry, I just have a lot on my mind, and I'm not really in the mood."
I look down at his still hard dick. Even though his shirt is over it, I can still see it. Not going to lie. . . that thing looks huge. "Your dick says the opposite," I say.
"I know, but we can't."
"Why the hell not?"
"I'm just—I'm just not ready, that's all. Please, understand me." His eyes are looking down, ashamed.
I smile, sitting up as well. "It's fine. We have all the time in the world for it."
Kevin smiles back before leaning down and pecking my lips. "Thank you, love."
My fake smile doesn't reach my eyes, but he doesn't notice, pulling me into a hug. I frown behind his back, letting my smile drop. What the hell is happening? Guys usually jump at the open door when sex is involved, so why is Kevin closing it?
Something must be wrong.
