personality | At first, Dom is quiet. He's simply that mysterious brooding fellow in the corner of the tavern. He doesn't talk to anybody unless spoken to, he doesn't laugh at the jokes, he doesn't socialize around town much... he's just... odd. He's a silent enigma. Well, at least that's how he comes off at first.

By now, we all know not to judge a book by its cover. If you put on your detective goggles and look more closely, you'll happen to learn a bit more about dear, dear Dominic. Really, he just doesn't like the people of his village. They're stuck up and annoying, so people perceive him as quiet and weird, when in reality he can actually be quite the lively and lovely man in the privacy of the people he loves. When he actually takes a liking to someone, he opens up considerably and is a smiley, cheery dude. He has quick wit and a love of sarcasm. That's original, ain't it? Anyways, we'll get deeper into his character in the backstory, just wait!

backstory | When Dominic's mother was a young lady, she was beautiful and kind and lively. Maybe a little too lively. She had a rebellious streak that lead to her getting pregnant without a husband *le gasp*. The father was a man she had met in a bar and spent the night with, and he was a traveller who had already left her life before she even realized she was with child. Somehow, Louise Jeremiah managed to raise a baby on her own in a small minded, judgmental village. It was hard, and money was always tight, but she managed. Dominic grew up fairly isolated due to his low rank in the social standing of the village. This is why he tends to keep to himself when he has the choice. Anyhooooo, when Dom was 5, his mother had yet another child from a one night stand with the father never returning.

So skip forward a bit to almost present day and Dominic, his mother Louise, and his sister Penelope all live, barely scraping by from the odd jobs that Dom picks up around town. It's a hard life supporting his family, but the man manages. Unfortunately, work became slow and winter was coming. Let's just say, situations grew desperate and Dom needed food for his family and fast. He decided to try to take some from the richest family in the village. They had more food than they would ever need, so he saw no wrong in it. It was necessary for him. Yet, in an unfortunate turn of events, Dominic was caught in the act of stealing by the sheriff who had very, very unfortunately been paying a visit to the rich family. Getting caught lead to a very epic chase through the village before Dom was finally able to get on a horse and charge into the woods, escaping the sheriff. When the boy could go no further, he stopped to rest because his horse needed rest, food, and water. And yeah, that's what leads us to the scenario.
