well, obviously julia is a wayland. famous shadowhunters. big whoop. jules doesn't care. yes, mundanes need protecting. that was a fact, but it wasn't like they were running out of shadowhunters. why should her family determine what she does with her whole life? why should she be forced into a role she doesn't want. jules values peace and normalcy, what's wrong with that? she sees no need for her to fight a demon. oops?

so julia grew up pretty normal. she tried to keep her head down and just live her life. she had friends, she loved her family, and she did good. pretty simple, right? her brother was into all the shadow hunting stuff, so maybe that's why she never hung around too much. she liked to get away from it all, which added to the reason that she never really interacted with soren much before she left.

ah, yes. julia leaving. that should probably be explained. the summer before julia's freshman year. damn, it took a lot of begging but she pulled it off. her parents agreed to let her study abroad. her parents let her go to london to stay with her aunt and study there. julia was excited beyond belief. she could be free for years from the drama of her life back home. she could just live normal. hell yeah.

then, three years came and went. obviously to make the rp hella fun, julia had a major glow up. and then, her parents informed her she needed to come back. her time abroad was up. it was simply too expensive. or at least so they told her. the real reason is that she's about to get forced into being a shadow hunter. unfortunately for her, she doesn't know that.
