veta hasn't really had many major relationships. she's actually only had three. one in her school years, and two as a young adult. there's not very much to mention because they didn't last long. she just wasn't right for them. lizaveta just hasn't fallen in love. she hasn't found that person who brings out the best parts of her. maybe she will?

━   BACKSTORY  ━

LIZAVETA VASILIEV was born and raised in the heart of russia. her childhood was rather uneventful. she was the only child of nikita and alexey vasiliev, two bankers. or so she thought for most of her life. her parents were always working, sometimes going on long business trips. veta spent lots of time entertaining herself by exploring the city and reading. she knows the streets of her city better than she knows herself. it was a very calm and isolated childhood, but she never complained much. it shaped who she was. quiet, intuitive, observant. she was an oddly quiet and calm little girl from the start. and then she started to grow. it was at the age of thirteen that she finally began to learn the family secrets. one night, her parents burst into their house, her mother gripping a bloody bandage on her shoulder. she had been shot. veta was wildly confused and scared. skip ahead a long night of guessing, veta was finally clued i'm by her parents. they were spies working for the government. her mother had gotten slightly wounded on a mission. veta was confused, afraid, worried. but after a while, it just became the new normal. veta continued her pattern of wandering and studying, and her parents went back to long work trips. as she grew, veta started to understand that her parents wished for her to follow in their footsteps. the tasks they did just didn't seem to suit her, but she didn't have to heart to say no. so she pushed off the decision as long as possible. and then it happened. the selection. it was the perfect opportunity for the russian government to gain control in illéa. unfortunately, no one at the spy agency was right for the job. they were all too old. but veta's parents were high up, and they saw a chance. they volunteered lizaveta for the mission of a life time. assume a fake identity and infiltrate the illéan selection. it was the type of mission that she might never return from. a new life. veta wasn't sure. she was hesitant. she wasn't even a spy yet! and yet, somehow she was talked into it. something about pride in her country, her duty, the opportunity of a life time. she couldn't say no and disappoint her parents more than ever. so she started training. combat training, charm training (yes, unfortunately for veta, that's a thing), culture training. she had a few months to prepare. she had to learn her new identity and everything she could about rocco schreave. she was nervous, but she was so focused on the preparations that she forgot to think about what living a false identity for a long amount of time would do for her. she's in for an adventure.

ELIZABETH JONES had a fairly simple childhood. she was raised in the northern part of illéa by two loving parents. she grew up normal. nothing really mentionable. when she turned eighteen, her parents got in a terrible car accident, and they were both killed. so elizabeth had to get her own apartment and her own job. she's been working waitressing jobs ever since. it's a simple cover. anything too complicated would be difficult to back up.
