Dustin at the very start of the comic:
Turning the radio cast of the Konterii invasion off, Dustin leaned against the table and settled his stony, blue eyes on Lila. He crossed his arms, each pale and slim finger tapping against his arm. His hadn't think he would have to spelt it out to his friend, but her lack of response demanded it from him. Given the cause, it was only disappointing to him. "I'm leaving soon to a flight to one of those target zones. With them targeting the military directly, it's not like they can lend their troops to a lot of places." Dustin started, tone holding hints of the justice he felt and the morals contained in his mind. Ever since he caught word of aliens attempting to dominate Earth, he'd been against it and hadn't the chance to go out and fight it until then. "I want you to come with me to get rid of them. I'll give you half an hour to meet me outside your house at nine tomorrow, in the evening. If you don't come, then I'm going myself. People out there need help and the Konterii need to go."
Dustin turnin into a konterii:
At the discomforting itch behind his ear, he slid his finger down the bruise-like birth mark that normally hid there. He withheld the surprise from his face, seeing as it would disturb his comrades in the shelter with him. Fur. There was fur; he could feel it. He was about to run his finger across his birth mark again, yet decided it would get suspicious not before long. Since they were done for the day, he went to his bed and removed his shoes and socks. Dustin had solidified his weird habits a long time ago, so those wouldn't be as odd as him repeatedly touching one spot by his ear. He raised his foot, prepared to scratch behind his ear as he normally would, however his attention dedicated itself to a blue patch on his heel. Swiftly, he looked to where everyone was gathered and let out a sigh of relief that they weren't paying any mind to him. He scratched behind his ear with his ear. Fur. Both behind his ear and on what little of his heel managed to pass his neck.
Shaking his head, Dustin got changed for bed. He was probably delirious. For as much as he loved helping people and wanting to make sure they were safe, he couldn't manage a day without some confusion if he had less than ten hours sleep. Everything would be fine if he slept it off, perhaps got a little more sleep then usual. Ignoring the other marks that he found scattered across his body, he slipped under the covers and pulled them over his head.
Dustin waking up as Konterii, being kicked out:
Lila stood at the side of Dustin's bed, expression bored as she watched the occasional turns the rolled up ball of covers made on the bed. It was getting later in the day and he hadn't done a single thing. Despite being an early riser, he would at least get up from bed before lunch time. She outstretched a hand to pull the covers off, but something quickly moved under the covers. "Don't. I'll get up," came Dustin's muffled voice, the mass of covers on the bed shifting. "Go wait out with everyone else." A displeased groan left Lila's painted black lips - it would be useless to argue with him about lazing in bed, she knew that much. Without saying anything, she left the bedding area so Dustin could get ready.
Dustin slipped his hand out from the covers, air hitting it in a way most unnatural to him. Instead of air lighting touching his skin, he felt various strands of short fur move, sway and tangle. He didn't even want to look at his hand; he only found comfort in noting that his digit count was the same. Opening the drawer, he took out his first item of clothing and pulled it under the covers. The longer he had little sight of himself, the longer he could try and convince himself nothing had happened to him. After all, how would he turn into the thing that he had told himself he'd get rid of? It was impossible, both physically and to his ideology. He kept pulling each item of clothing under the covers as he changed, doing his best not to keep his hand out in the air for long. Once fully dressed, he stood and kept the bed covers draped over himself. He went to join the others in the dining area, until he heard the voice of Lila which caused him to linger in the door way.
"Seriously, Dustin? You and Duncan are probably on equal footing with how serious you are about making those blue weirdos leave our planet, but you're trying to walk in here like that?" She spat out in annoyance, approaching Dustin at speed. He went to step back, but the slight raise of the covers in his movement allowed for Lila to grip onto the hem and pull the covers off.
A tail of the higher ranking Konterii stood on end, a pair of wide, eyes staring directly at Lila. Raising his fists to guard his face, he took a step back and narrowed his eyes. He examined the face of utter disbelief plastered on the face of his friend, though made sure not to return the expression. Then it shifted to Jen and the obvious fear that paralysed her, all colour seeming to fade from her pink clothes and blonde hair. Then to Isaac, once loving eyes clouded with confusion and upset. Then, finally, to Duncan, whose eyes roared with the same flame colour of his hair in anger. Both parties were waiting for the other to say the first word. Dustin took another step back.
"I said don't," Dustin reiterated, defensive stance become stiffer. His hand reached out to grasp his sword that normally rested against the door, but he stopped his motion when seeing the gun that Duncan aimed directly at him.
The redhead gritted his teeth together. "You're trying to walk in here like that?" He repeated, causing for the defective-looking Konterii to raise his hands in surrender. "What kind of plan is it? I don't get it. I don't see the point. Is it just to gain some trust to undermine a resistance later? That's the only thing that I can see here, traitor. You're an animal. You're a creature. You're a monster. Get out of here." Grabbing his sword in a haste, Dustin exited the shelter at a speed far quicker than he had ever moved before.
hmmm okay so yeah around this point i got bored
Just know that his mentality slowly shifts
And so does his physical appearance
Like he drops from four fingers and a thumb to three fingers and a thumb, gets taller and gets longer legs to match other konterii
And because of his father and the people hes around, he willingly allows his mentality to shift towards the konterii cause, realising there is no way to beat them and ultimately supporting them instead
