"You kissed a girl! A GIRL!"

Elena asked in pure disbelief as she shot herself out of Senumi's bed.

"Jeasus freaking crist! You did not!".
Said the super hyped as she bent forward to grab Senumi by her shoulders.

"Yes I did."
Peeling off her friend's hands from her shoulders confirmed Senumi as she laid back on her bed.

"Damn!"
Chirped Elena as he jumped back on to the bed to lay next to Senumi.

"So! Tell me! What else happened?"

Her eyes were gleaming like black beads facing sunlight and the full smile on her face was begging Senumi to spill the tea.

"Girl! You gotta fill me in! Tell me what happened !"

Senumi turned towards her friend who had a flirty smile on her face and sighed.

"I already told you Ellie! Now stop asked about it!"
She frowned hiding her smile as she closed her eyes.

"Oh shut up! I know you wanna talk about it! So tell me who is she? What's her name? You got her number? Is she tall?"

Elena went on and on about it making Senumi regret ever opening her mouth about her little secret.

Her little secret about how she lost her first kiss to a strange girl that she just met. A girl or a woman that she had only once met.

" Stoop! I told you I don't know her already! We... we just kissed that's it"

Senumi straightened her back and sat properly looking away from her friend with her head turned towards the window.

The Colombo sky was bright blue despite a couple of shapeless clouds that littered it.

At the sight of it Senumi sighed as sadness surrounded her sore soul.

"Hmm... I can't believe that I'm leaving all this behind next month."

Wanting to change the topic said Senumi.

"Hmm... Don't worry girl, it'd be fun. Imagine living near the beach! It's going to be so much fun! If I were you I'd have my things packed already!"

"Oh really? Sounds like someone isn't gonna miss me!"  Blamed Senumi making Elena laugh.

"Ever heard of something called technology grand Ma? We can chat"

Both laughed at the joke and Elena continued ,
" We can visit each other as much as we like! It's only an hour away from here! Because if there is a beach then I'd be there. And you are not going there for forever you know."

" Yeah".
Said Senumi in exasperation.

Both girls looked at each other as they heard the gates rolling. A signal that their parents  that had gone to examine the hotel had come back home.

"Elena! Don't bring this up okay! Not even by mistake!"

Her enlarged eyes looked in to her friend's with concern.

"Of course not"
Said Elena securing her luscious black hair in a high pony tail.

A hair that Senumi envied as her's was nothing compared to hers. Elena's hair was black and luscious. It fell down from her crown beautifully like a waterfall, naturally straight raven strands reflecting light.

In full contrast to her friend's hair Senumi's stood like a bird nest upon her head, too thin if combed out, too messy if left uncombed. In some days it felt like straw or dried out hay.

Skipped the wash day? Her hair would be greasy like the "wade" that one would buy from a street food stall at the corner of the road.

Washed it a little too much? Then it would be dry like her aunt's sense of humour.

"Senu aren't you coming?"
Elena looked at Senumi as she stood by the door ready to go down.

"Oh yeah...after you Ellie."

Both girls ran to the ground floor to meet their parents.
