32: Chaos on the Second Day at The Last Paradise

The next morning approached with Arina lying in her bed with a face mask on since last night. She woke up and the first thing she did was to take it off and entered the bathroom to begin her extra self-care routine, making Seo bang on the door and asked whether she was still alive or not. Eventually, he grew tired out and marched to the buffet by himself not waiting for the girl.

Asano Gakushuu had a relatively quick breakfast with only bread and coffee whilst studying for the upcoming final round of the World Scholar Cup. Ever since Ren was informed that he was about to meet Liliana Chadwick in person and being a spontaneous philanderer as he was -- he forgot all about Nagasawa Juria as he sat down next to Asano and eagerly studied alongside him. Koyama also arrived at their table with a bunch of food to begin a group study section, yet the moment he tasted the random dishes he picked, he immediately threw them asides, only eating the things he was familiar with. That was who Koyama was -- always sticking to certain things, unlike Ren. So if you were having a too hard time dating spontaneous boys like Ren, date Koyama! Even though he was ugly and had a weird 'nishishishi' laugh, he was willing to spend his whole life with you and is extremely loyal to a fault, and will remember every of your detailed information, hobby, pet peeves, anniversary, etc.

They left for the bus at around 9 A.M. and headed to the snorkeling spot. The students all had their swimsuits on before entering the cruiser to sail into the sea and oh boy did Yano Takaaki go wild. All the female students were wearing bikinis except for Arina (and Sae too, but everyone forgot about her).

"A-Ami!?" gaped Teppei. Never in his life had he blushed this hard before in his life. His gaze surveyed Ami in her bikini, which was two emoji eyes for the bra and filler lips for the underwear (A/n: basically, Ami's bikini looks like this 👁👄👁).

"Do you like it!?" grinned Ami confidently, revealing her silly, colorful bracelet.

Among the girls, Nagasawa Juria was still the most eye-catching one with her red bikini and gorgeous figure, followed by that was Minami Mei with her overloaded cuteness, garbed in a pink, ribbon bikini with a bottom skirt. Morikawa Mika and Tanaka Sekai were also not losing in terms of stealing male gazes.

Surprised that everyone opted to go for a bikini, Arina heaved a deep sigh and her gaze met a fellow comrade.

"Shirayuki-chan!" Arina happily waved her arm at the expressionless girl, approaching and sitting beside her on the steamboat.

"It's rather difficult to find someone who appreciates rashguard swimsuits for their coverage these days when exposing your skin is so much even more trendy. Oh, why is that? Just as why some are prettier than others. I'm so glad I found you, Shirayuki-chan. I can say you deeply admire the beauty of rashguard swimsuits, Shirayuki-chan, I can see it. Do you?"

Sae lifted her glasses.

"I don't talk to foolish people. I can judge you're stupid just from the way you ask questions that give away too obvious responses."

"Then I want to hear Shirayuki-chan's obvious response!" said Arina eagerly, giving Sae a closed-eyes smile.

Sae froze for a moment and hesitated to enter a conversation but she did anyway.

"First thing first, we have to consider two factors when it comes to why exposing skin is trendier, including a natural sense of 'tribalism' need in human biology and there is full in-depth psychology about this that I'm going to explain later, and where did the trend come from and how did it start. To analyze this, first take a look back at a few decades ago when religions--"

Arina listened to Sae gingerly for her deep analysis with her mouth forming a shape of an O. She reminded her of Asano quite a lot through their alike communication style, though, unlike Asano who jumped to conclusions sooner for the sake of efficiency, Sae spent much longer time analyzed deep into every possible root of the question, clearing everything out. If Asano was for the result, Sae was for the process of analyzing problems.

"Oh, Shirayuki-chan! You're a genius!" exclaimed Arina. Her eyes sparkled as she intertwined her hands together.

"What's the definition of genius then? A genius is meant to possess characteristics of original and exceptional insight in the performance of some art or endeavor that surpasses expectations. While I'm just a girl who happens to overanalyze things at all times and is obsessed with doing research," said Sae disappointingly. "I couldn't even get into the top 12 goddamit."

Arina giggled.

"Oh, Shirayuki-chan, you don't need the ranking system to determine if you're a genius."

"I do need it. And it also indicates that I'm not trying hard enough," said Sae gloomily. Her voice always sounded as if she was at a low point in her life.

"Aah! It's because you aren't so good at Japanese ain't it, Shirayuki-chan? Whenever Gojou-sensei returned Japanese descriptive essays you always got the lowest score. Oh! That's it! How about I ask Ren to help you out with it? He's a natural poet and is so romantic--"

"No, I'm fine working alone," replied Sae immediately, still using her lifeless voice. Mentioning Ren reminded her of yesterday's event between the popular girls as it made Sae as curious as ever.

Just then, Morikawa Mika and Tanaka Sekai popped out from nowhere, making their way to Arina, and rudely shoved Sae aside to sit next to the foreign girl.

Sae gave them her middle fingers whilst the two girls saw and rolled their eyes. Together they began to find topics to chat about with Arina. But all Arina cared about in the meantime was why hadn't she seen Juria with them since yesterday afternoon.

"Oh, we ran into a horrible fight," fake sobbed Tanaka. "Morikawa and I finally realized what kind of person she is now. She IS a literal devil!"

"Yesterday when I told her she is no match for Asano-kun she shoved my head in the toilet bowl and flushed it," faltered Morikawa, deserving an Oscar for her acting.

"And now she's blackmailing us if we ever dare to spread this out," sobbed Tanaka, burying her face in her palms.

However, to their panic, Arina said:

"My, what a pity. You mustn't let any conflict unresolved! Alright girls, let's walk to Nagasawa-san and sort things out!"

Morikawa and Tanaka were about to improvise their responses but Sae signaled they needn't have to.

"Mika, Sekai, I thought you two only used Juria to approach Asano."

Silence.

Initially, one could see that Morikawa and Tanaka really did break into sweats. However, they immediately regained composure and fired back.

"Huh!? Are you out of your mind, Shirayuki? Try to ruin others' life!?"

"And who gave you the permission to call us by our first name!?"

"I did," said Sae, still wearing an expressionless face. "I gave myself permission to call you two Mika and Sekai. Have a problem with that?"

Indeed, Sae called everyone by their first name, except for Asano. Why? It's because she's intimidated by the almighty Asano? No. It was simply because she couldn't stand how his name literally means 'best at studying' and would rather call him by his surname.

"You—you..." fumed Tanaka. "You dare to talk to me like that!? Who the fuck do you think you are!? You are just a low-life peasant who does nothing than fade into the background!"

Sae yawned, making both Morikawa and Tanaka go nuts.

"And what made you think we befriended Juria just for Asano-kun's attention? Utterly ridiculous!" Morikawa pulled on a grin. "I doubt you just went overboard with your Asano-kun obsession and forced it on others. How pathetic!"

Suddenly, the usual gloomy Sae burst out a laugh. It was filled with contempt and the girls couldn't help but shudder at such an odd display from Sae.

Meanwhile, Arina had been watching the scene nonchalantly whilst spacing out and having an entire monologue in her head.

"Alright, you asked what made me draw such conclusions? I've got to tell you that I've been hearing and observing you all since yesterday's noon," smirked Sae. "And I guess I just overanalyzed a bit too far."

"Wh-WHAT!?" snapped the girls, though, this time Arina stood up and announced to them that they were on a vacation.

"Girls, we're almost there!" she beamed brightly, gazing out of the steamboat to the magnificent ocean outside. The water was shining under the sun's rays and so were Arina's eyes.

"Let's have fun first, shall we? Then whatever comes — comes!" she giggled, and ran outside to the boat's deck in excitement.

"Always so excited even for small, stupid things," murmured Tanaka, rolling her eyes.

The hippie tour guide announced to the students that they had reached the destination and were given the choice to wear life jackets or arm floats or not. Of course, most of them chose not to in order to experience the full experience.

Because of so, when Seo saw Fujii opting to wear both the life jacket and arm floats, he laughed and teased the guy to the end of his world. Fujii Hiroyuki — although he was ill-natured, he was weak and a coward, making him the main target for everyone to tease him.

They divided into their groups and this time, Juria swore to only stick to herself. Ren had given up on Juria and now he was daydreaming about meeting Liliana Chadwick. Morikawa and Tanaka went back from the encounter with Sae and secretly cursed under their breath. Koyama, though he was on a vacation he was reading out the stuff he had memorized for the World Scholar Cup before jumping into the ocean. Asano was making sure everyone did a little warm-up before beginning snorkeling.

When Arina first got down there, she felt as though she was viewing reality through a camera's lens, and her soul leaving her body for such beauty. Never in her life had she seen this many colors combined in nature; the colorful living, breathing coral reefs made her feel as though she couldn't improve it by imagination.

Snorkeling -- an activity everyone was enjoying, Arina, however, went full mode diving. She spotted some Regal Angelfish swimming in sight and desperately joined them, as the fishes went swirling around her. Some even played with her floating silver blonde hair by swimming back and forth through it, making Arina laugh under the water and producing bubbles from her mouth.

Not long after, the mean Seo also dived down to join Arina, causing the Regal Angelfishes to disperse upon seeing him. Arina leered at Seo whilst the guy laughed so hard he accidentally swallowed a whole gulp of seawater and had to get out of there.

Everyone else too was enjoying the experience to the fullest. The K-squad members even brought an underwater camera with them to capture the moments and later upload photos on their Instagrams. The only person who didn't seem to be happy to be there was Nagasawa Juria. She was snorkeling alone, not bothering to even stick to her group. And didn't seem to admire the beauty underneath her, considering she was replaying the scenes with Morikawa and Tanaka all the time, and can't help but felt betrayed.

Lunch followed and Juria couldn't get rid of that feeling whenever her eyes met those so-called best friends. At least Ren didn't bother her now. But why did it feel so lonely? Being so depressed right now made Juria pay no mind to her crush Asano Gakushuu despite him being near her. She felt as though she might burst out crying any time, for she was a suppressed sensitive girl. Never once in her life had she had anyone to rely on or felt comfortable with. And when she thought it might've been Morikawa and Tanaka, they weren't.

Alas! Juria didn't know she was going to encounter Shirayuki Sae in the restaurant's bathroom. The gloomy girl was washing her hands and Juria walked over whilst pretending to ignore her. She pulled out a pink lipgloss and started to dab it on her lips. Just then, Sae raised her voice:

"Abandoned by your sidekicks? Seems like they have switched targets when realizing you're no use for getting close to Asano."

Juria raised an eyebrow. What was she saying?

"What do you mean?" she hissed at Sae, to which the gloomy girl began her retelling of what happened this morning at length.

When Juria finished hearing about this, her face went purple. Some parts of her believed Sae, and some refused to. Why would Morikawa and Tanaka lie about them being the victim of her assault? It was utterly ridiculous. And why would they approach Arina right after the day they told her she was better off with that philanderer?

Juria relapsed into silent thought and finally, she came back to her sense. Sae was startled when Juria reached out for her wrist and led her out of the bathroom.

'Oh no, don't tell me that she's going to...' thought Sae. And indeed, her guess was correct and now she and Juria were standing in front of Morikawa and Tanaka -- both of whom were having a look of confusion plastered on their hateful faces, standing next to group 2's table in the mid of restaurant to chat with Arina.

"What's this all about?" winced Juria in despise. "Shirayuki has told me that you two only befriended me for getting Asano-kun's attention. Is that true?"

"Hah!?" Morikawa instantly fired back. "And now that pathetic hideous girl had fully gained your trust!? How foolish for you to trust people so easily, Juria."

"As I am with you two," emphasized Juria, making the whole group 2 gasp in shock.

Arina was panning her anxious eyes between the girls, unsure how to handle this conflict as her hands intertwined. She had already sensed something was off about Morikawa and Tanaka since the beginning, though never pay much mind to it. This was the ultimate betrayal that made even Arina think how peace wasn't likely to be the outcome even if she force it upon them. Typical girls' drama, they were rather different from boys'.

"Oops! Drama~" said Ami in excitement, whilst Seo also couldn't help but formed an expression of being interested, demanding more of it. Meanwhile, Mei was looking worried and so was Arina. Teppei was still skeptical as he turned to Morikawa and Tanaka and asked whether this was true.

"Of course NOT! I don't know what heck of a spell that Shirayuki cast on Juria and now she's blaming us for something we would never think of!!" retorted Tanaka, fuming.

"Want to hear a full depths analysis of your behaviors?" Sae lifted her glasses, as Morikawa and Tanaka felt a shiver run down their spines.

It was no way for the two mean girls to sneak their way out of it after Sae brought up their yesterday conversations and actions and analyzed each of their motives in detail, including why they became friendly toward Arina out of a sudden. It was all for one thing -- getting close to Asano Gakushuu and grabbing his attention.

Morikawa and Tanaka were petrified at first but soon broke into a laugh full of relief after getting their true colors exposed.

"That's right," laughed Morikawa darkly. "What if we only befriended you for Asano-kun's attention?"

Juria clenched her fists. Her red eyes went watery as she felt a lump in her throat. As instinct told her, she delivered a hard slap to Morikawa's face. The slap was too powerful and equivalent to her hatred toward them as it sent Morikawa to land on group 2's eating table, making it half-flipped aside and the utensils and food spill everywhere and break.

The chaos soon beckoned the entire customers in that restaurant to run into the scene, looking out for drama, just right in time for Tanaka to fuel the flame.

"YOU BITCH!" she spat and punched Juria in the face using full force.

Asano Gakushuu freaked out and fled to the chaotic scene. He desperately tried to shove the flock of people out of the way to stop the mess his groupmates were causing, which resulted in him being an irresponsible leader.

"GIRLS! STOP THIS IMMEDIATELY!" he commanded with an imposing voice. Unfortunately, the wild girls refused to lose to each other as they continued to pull each other's hair, punching and hitting each other. Morikawa even went to a further extent as she used a fallen fork from the table to stab Juria's flesh and even tried to do so with her eyeballs.

"YOU FUGLY SLUT ISN'T WORTHY OF ASANO-KUN!!"

"HE IS MINE!!"

"AND YOU THINK ASANO-KUN WILL FALL FOR LOW-LIFE BITCHES LIKE YOU HUH!?? FUCK YOU ALL!"

Despite the crowd trying to separate them, the girls were too wild that they were willing to bite any person that tried to stop them from killing each other.

The restaurant employers and manager along with the hippie tour guide had got bitten the most to the point they bled. And the students had never wished for Mr. Uchida to be present more than now.

On the other hand, students such as Ami, Seo, and Fujii were taking turns chanting for each of them. Ren was being selfish as all he thought about was how lucky it was for Asano to have girls fight over him. And Asano? Never in his life had he held this much contempt for someone. They literally fought each other 'till death just for him.

Arina Avenira was trying to barge into the conflict and had it easy to get near them since she was close and of course, she got shoved away and bitten as well.

Out of the students, Arina, Toda Sejiro, and Mori Iori received the most bites from the girls. And after a while of struggling to barge into the scene from the nosy crowd -- some of them even pulled out their phones to record this drama -- Asano got in between the girls to separate them from hurting each other.

"That's enough," he ordered. This was the first time in their life the girls had also seen Asano's true color. His darkened expression looked so terrifying they immediately retreated into submission under their leader's command.

"Ye-yes, Asano-kun."

Not a word did he say, as he kept that terrifying attitude and used it on the crowd and they soon dispersed. Even Arina -- who was the most used to Asano's true color -- had never seen him this angry before. Morikawa and Tanaka abruptly came to apologize to Asano and expected him to be sweet to them like usual but all they received was his murderous, cold gaze and still, no response, walked over to talk things over with the restaurant manager. Not until this moment had they realized how scary of a person their leader was.

Juria was on the verge of tearing up. She swallowed a hateful lump and sprinted away from people's sight. She wanted to be out of there. She wanted to be unseen. She wanted to be alone. Though, she secretly hoped someone would care enough to chase after her...what if it might be Asano? Just...what if.

Choosing a spot at the back of the restaurant, Juria sat down on a chair bench there and began to tear up uncontrollably. Somewhere in her heart, she hoped Asano would come for her, though deep down she knew it wasn't likely to be so.

"Nagasawa-san, are you alright?"

Juria looked up to see Arina — who was looking genuinely concerned — as she sat down next to her and rubbed her back.

"What do you want?" said Juria in annoyance, trying to hide the fact that she was sobbing.

"I just think that Nagasawa-san is awfully strong-minded," smiled Arina in comfort. "If I were you, I wouldn't have handled it but burst out crying right then and there and wait for others to come and comfort me because I must admit I'm somewhat of an attention seeker and you're not and it's so admirable! You know what, Nagasawa-san? Never would I dare to imagine having my kindred friends betray me like that. And I couldn't believe in my eyes that such a gruesome thing would happen in real life. But I think it's rather common for the world isn't perfect and people like you are so strong to withstand it."

With that said, Juria turned away and secretly wipe off her tears. Arina noticed and giggled in an undertone, and gifted Juria some handmade lollipops.

"I don't eat these," winced Juria, insisting on not taking any of Arina's sweets. "And why are you here anyway? Those two bitches sent you here to spy on me?"

"No, Nagasawa-san, I realize it now," said Arina thoughtfully, looking in the front direction. "Some people just aren't worth being friendly toward."

In the end -- Nagasawa Juria, nicknamed Kunugigaoka's Queen Bee and was loved and idolized by most people -- only Arina cared about her deep down. She sat there and constantly rubbed Juria's back for her tragic betrayal touched Arina's heart on a deep level. She asked Juria what her favorite food was, which, was a lie from Juria saying she didn't have a passion for food.

"Then let's find out what your favorite is!" beamed Arina gleefully. "I swear to you, Nagasawa-san, there isn't a single human being in this world who doesn't like at least one kind of food. I will take you to every restaurant and order every possible edible thing out there to figure out your favorite! If you aren't fond of sweets like most people then I will try to learn and cook you your favorite food! I'm rather confident in my ability and unlike the essential oil cake incident I've learned my lesson now so you can count on me!"

"You don't have to do so," replied Juria, who was looking away out of guilt. Her favorite food was actually something as simple as fast food, so how would she confide to others about it?

"Oh, I think I do really need to, Nagasawa-san. It's such an unpleasant feeling to give others something while you receive nothing like always."

"...Okay then, I--I actually," blushed Juria, preparing to confess out of guilt, "I actually quite like bacon cheese fries...they're quite rare to find in our country. The last time I ate them was when I was on a trip to the states, and it was simply great."

Unlike her expectation that whoever hears this will laugh at her, Arina formed a sort of expression that shouted 'marvelous!' and clasped her hands together in joy.

"Roger! Oh you have no idea how dearly glad I am right now to learn about your favorite food. Oh, Nagasawa-san! I'm so extremely glad!"

It went on for a while between Juria and Arina. Juria had a revelation that she wasn't fake being nice to grab attention, she was simply nice from her core heart, and she suddenly felt the guilt rise up to her chest for the whole time she'd treated Arina like crap.

"I can see why Asano-kun enjoys your company so much," said Juria, dropping her voice so low to the point it was barely even a whisper.

With Arina's urge, Juria unreluctantly agreed to return to the class, which, had been looking for them. When she spotted Asano, unlike how she thought he would react charismatic and sweetly like how he always showcased himself, he shouted and scolded her for the first time ever.

Juria was so shocked she couldn't form any words. She appeared to not be the only one in shock, Morikawa and Tanaka were too. Apparently, they were given detentions and had to stay on the bus the whole time for the duration of their next cycling tour, Juria wasn't an exception. Arina immediately barged in and protested since she thought it was utterly cruel to do so but received Asano's scold as well.

The cycling tour didn't go well for Arina. Ever since experiencing yesterday's heat, she had been feeling as if she was on a fever the whole time and it would only ease when the temperature dropped. When cycling through a rice field, some kids announced in a panic that Arina had 'died', which turned out that she merely fell into the muddy water and fainted there.

The students abruptly dropped their bicycles and rushed to check if she was still alive and Arina, covered in the dirty mud from top to toe shot her eyes open and announced to them that she didn't die. Instead, she told them in a weak tone that she was awfully dizzy and exhausted.

The incident brought them back to the resort earlier than expected. Juria, Morikawa, and Tanaka continued to endure their detentions and had to spend the rest of the day being locked in their rooms. Edirusdimand had had enough of this class for always going against his life principle and threatened to quit his job whilst Asano tried his best to reassure him none of this will happen again. Arina was sent back to her cool room to regain energy and she did pretty quickly. Around seven o'clock at night, she felt all of a sudden so healthy as though an occurrence like that couldn't repeat and left her room to find Asano and announce to him that she needn't take a day off tomorrow and was up for another adventure.

She went around asking some 2-A students and they informed her the Big Fives was at the cocktail lounge. With her eyes brightened up at the thought of meeting new people, Arina flew to where they were in utter excitement.

The resort's cocktail lounge was big and luxurious enough even for the typical judgemental boy Asano Gakushuu's likeness. He and his minions were sitting on a leather couch surrounding themselves with high-class people and some rich kids, mainly girls. They were chatting and enjoying the piano playing in the background. Ren even carried a Japanese poetry book to translate and flex with them when Arina approached them and said:

"Hello to you all lovely people! Care if I join in what I've been missing out? I always have the BEST idea when it comes to conversations unlike these guys!"

"No, shoo!" exclaimed Seo straight away. Ren and Koyama also nodded in agreement. That's it -- Arina always STEAL the girls from them whenever they were attending a social gathering and they surely hated it to death. Luckily Arina was a girl, not a guy, or else they would have thought of her as a competition.

However, to their great chagrin, Arina's eyes laid on where the piano sound came from and she set off to do something that stole ALL of their current attention.

The pianist in the corner of the room was exchanging something with Arina, and later he announced to everyone attending the bar that this young foreign lady here was going to play them a song.

"She knows how to play instruments!?" questioned Seo wide-eyed, so was the rest of Big Fives. The almighty Asano who knew how to play every instrument was smirking, crossing his arms, and eager to hear whatever he was to hear.

"Dear me, today is such an unromantic day, for tragic betrayal and unendurable rise of my body temperature. I shall join my hands and soul in this form of art and makeup for the day. I do very much hope everyone here will listen as our souls rhyme with each other in this romantic piece. It's called 'I Love You' by Riopy."

"Just jump straight into it!" urged Seo, who honestly cared none for trying to appeal romantic.

People clapped for Arina. She blew them kisses and smoothed her dress as she sat down and laid her fingers on the key and began the romantic piece of art.

First notes in and Asano Gakushuu immediately fell in love with the sight of the skilled white-blond girl garbed in an elegant floral dress immersing her emotions in the piano keys. She played it skillfully and elegantly and it drove Asano to wonder whether what was this temporary feeling he was having.

There was this one thing with Asano — he loved things he couldn't achieve — and for the prospect of girls betraying each other and fighting for him shamelessly just this noon, he had an electrical shock somewhere in his heart when he found a girl who cared none for him in a romantic sense. Add to that, she revealed unexpected talent to him, and it was breathtakingly beautiful.

Not just Asano, but almost every present figure in the cocktail lounge was charmed by Arina's romantic delivery of emotions and prowess. Ren was quietly producing his own poetry in mind, from reciting some lines he read out to the girls in the bar earlier from the book. Teppei as always was recording the scene. Seo was so amazed he forgot to close his jaws. And Koyama? He was secretly wanting to learn piano and perform like Arina someday.

The audience broke into loud applause as soon as the foreign girl finished the song, with the Big Fives included. To thank them for listening, Arina went ahead and gifted everyone her handmade candies. The Big Fives forgot all about her stealing their attention and proceeded to shower her words of compliments.

"Arina, will you teach me piano sometimes?" requested Koyama without shame, pointing at himself.

"Ooooh," gasped Arina in surprise at first, but it quickly converted into delight. "Oh! This must be the first time ever someone asked me to teach them something. (A/n: Besides the things Arina isn't too proud of for ex: gun shooting) Oh, Koyama! I'm very much obliged to! You make me so happy."

By this point, Asano hadn't gotten rid of that temporary feeling he spared for her. Without realizing it, he went ahead and told her she had done well and asked where did she learn piano, to which Arina told him she learned it through private lessons in her hometown through her Father's command.

"Juria can also play piano, but not this kind of level," admitted Ren, flipping his two-block hair.

"Of course. What do you expect from a desperate girl," said Asano absent-mindedly. Upon realizing what he had said, he simply brushed it off and folded his arms.

But Arina overheard and took it more seriously than he thought.

"Oh, Asano-kun, I don't think it's nice to say that to Nagasawa-san. You do realize that she likes you and it's a beautiful thing for you to feel cherished."

To Arina's drop in friendly attitude, Asano sneered and said, "Why would I cherish girls who have no self-worth?"

"You take that back Asano Gakushuu!" exclaimed Arina angrily as her face went scarlet. The Big Fives were startled as they led her outside the cocktail lounge and she demanded Asano come with her since she hadn't finished just yet.

"Why, you're WICKED to take others' love for granted! I won't ever forgive you for being so. It's best for you to be unloved and by that you will understand how much it means to you now."

"Hmpf, there will be no such day," said Asano arrogantly. "Mini— People are replaceable by new people all the time. I have a strong community, therefore there's no need to cherish some pathetic girls."

"I hate you," she cried in a choked voice, stamping her foot on the floor. "I hate you – I hate you – I hate you –" a louder stamp with each assertion of hatred. "How dare you say that to Nagasawa-san who loves you wholeheartedly? How dare you take their love for granted? You are an ungrateful, arrogant, unfeeling boy!"

"Arina!" exclaimed Asano's minions altogether.

But Arina continued to face Asano, head up, eyes blazing, hands clenched, passionate indignation exhaling from her like an atmosphere.

"How dare you say such awful things to the people who love you," she repeated vehemently. "How would you feel if you were them? To have your feelings trashed by someone you love. You have no emotions and feelings and I HATE YOU for being so!"

Stamp! Stamp!

The minions gasped as they saw Arina throw the poetry book she yanked from Ren's hand with force straight INTO Asano's face with no mercy whatsoever.

"And I will NOT stay here by tomorrow! I'm perfectly healthy!"

With that declared, she simply rushed in the elevator's direction without looking back for their reaction. Asano's minions panicked at such a dramatic display of temper and immediately turned to check their leader's facial expression.

He was looking...impressed?

Sure enough, Asano cherished and valued a girl who behaved rebelliously to him more than his simps. And the earlier temporary feeling he got had extended to this point. Why hadn't he felt so with Arina a long time ago? Since he got rid of his contempt for her, things were different now. However, one must know that it was merely infatuation, and infatuation was short-lasting and spontaneous, just like how Asano will soon head over heels fall for the prestigious Liliana Chadwick in their first encounter and forget about this temporary feeling he spared for Arina.
