CHAPTER 32 || Arrived

Note: This wasn't supposed to be written in any sort of way. So, some facts in the book might be fucked up - and I'm gonna stop cussing because I used to not do that. Getting back in the mind of a 12-year-old is hard guys, lol.

ANYWAY! I hope you guys are glad that I'm continuing this story, because I honestly am.

(Oh and I don't have the cool banners anymore so rip)

Serena's POV.

"We're going to fight Lysandre," I repeated, taking a deep breath as Ash and I stood in front of Team Flare's base.

The size of the place was gigantic. It was easily going to be a maze of doors and corridors.

"Yeah. You ready?" Ash asked, looking up from Arceus' PokèBall to make eye contact.

His hazel eyes were filled of determination which made me more confident.

"We've been waiting for this." I smiled. "Now, we'll finally be able to give the villain who blew up our home payback."

Ash returned my smile. "Let's do this."

We both charged into the building. There were plenty of guards throwing out Pokèmon, but we never instigated a fight. We just dashed to the elevator. However, that plan ended up failing because we needed a key card.

"Serena, you think you can fight off the guards?" Ash asked. "I think I can make an aura key card thing."

"Yeah, I can," I replied, turning towards the guards.

I made an aura sphere with my hands and then blasted the guards with it. The damage will only be enough to keep them wiped out for a couple of minutes, but it'll be enough.

"Alright, we're in!" Ash announced, running in the elevator.

I followed him. He shut the elevator's door right after I got in.

"That was close," I admitted, taking deep breaths to calm myself down.

"Oh come on, we could've taken twice the amount of people," Ash chuckled.

"Don't get overconfident now," I replied. "I just like keeping standards low. That way, if you fail, it wouldn't be anything you didn't expect."

"Since when have you had low standards?" Ash asked.

"Fine, I'm just trying to make myself feel better about this. We're literally going to watch two gods fight in a few minutes. You have to be a little nervous!" I admitted.

"I am, but as long as we're together it'll be alright. We're aura masters, Serena," Ash responded.

Ding. We made it to the floor. Too quick to be able to reply to what Ash said because he dashed out the elevator once the doors opened.

"There's no guards out here!" Ash yelled.

"Yeah, yelling will totally help that!" I yelled back.

"It's the lockdown all over again, it's fine! That means Lysandre will show up!" Ash laughed.

"Not a time for joking, Ash! There's a literal army!"

"Yeah, sorry," Ash apologized.

"It's fine," I sighed. "I don't know why I'm in such a rejecting mood right now, but whatever."

After running down what-seemed-like a never-ending hallway, we finally turned a corner. At the end of the new hallway, there was a door with stone columns to the left and right of it.

"That has to be Lysandre's office, right?" Ash asked.

"Yeah, definitely," I agreed.

"It looks like it's a big area. Maybe he has a Pokémon Battlefield just lying in there," Ash replied.

"Think that's possible?"

"Anything's possible if you're the head of Team Flare," Ash shrugged.

We walked up to the door. I twisted the door knob trying to open it, but it was locked. Ash and I made eye contact for a few seconds, and then I knew what we had to do.

I raised my hands and powered them with aura magic. Then, I blew down the door. It made a loud banging sound as the door fell inside the room.

Ash and I walked into the office cautiously, only to find our villain sitting in a tall chair with his legs on the desk in front of him.

"I expected you to show up."
