CHAPTER 31 || Arceus

Dear readers,

I'm sorry. I was going to show you Ash and Serena in the airport and some of their journey to Anistar City, and I tried. I tried to show the airport, but I couldn't decide what I'd put in the chapter because it was just so boring. I tried showing you some of the early parts of their journey but that didn't work either. It would honestly look like a Pokémon anime episode, and that really doesn't set the mood for this book at all. So, I have to just show you guys the route before Anistar City. I hope you don't mind, these skips were for your entertainment. 💕

Serena's POV.

It's been around two days since we got into Lumiose City. Everyone agreed not to go to Vaniville Town because it was off of our route, and we wanted to get Arceus' aid as fast as possible. Who knows, maybe Lysandre wants to get Arceus like he wanted Giratina. You'll never know.

Ash and I held hands as we walked through route 17. After this route, we'd be at Anistar. Once we reached Anistar, our journey would truly begin.

"So, how close are we to Anistar?" Ash asked.

"It's however close it is. Isn't that the question that keeps you on the edge of your seat during an adventure?" Luke responded.

Ash just sighed and rolled his eyes as he kept on walking.

"Yes, but if that question can be answered by my mentor, then why do I have to ask it?" Ash replied.

"Very clever, I've trained you well I see," Luke chuckled.

He quickly turned around with an aura sphere in hand which shocked Ash and me.

"But not well enough," Luke sighed, putting the sphere away. "You'll be able to learn the unthinkable, but it'll have to be by yourselves in an unthinkable state."

"What does that even mean?" I asked, confused.

"You'll see." Luke smirked. "Anyways, Ash, to answer your question, look ahead."

Ash and I climbed up the hill we were walking on (which was incredibly steep) and soon, we saw a massive purple structure near a beach. A massive city was sitting on the beautiful green ground. I smiled, realizing that we were finally in Anistar.

"We're here!" Ash called, dashing down the hill.

"Slow down, Ash! You don't want to trip!" I yelled.

"I'll be fine! You don't have to run if you don't want to!" Ash shouted.

"I'll just fly," I chuckled.

"Only fly when necessary. Why not try something new, Serena? Run," Luna insisted.

"Fine, but if I fall, you take all the blame," I replied.

"You can do it Serena!" I heard Ash shout from the bottom of the hill.

I chuckled, and started running down. The wind brushed my face and felt amazing. I kept on having to move to the left and right because of the occasional rocks on the hill, but it was easy. I soon made it to the bottom of the hill unharmed. The only thing different was that my legs felt like noodles.

"You did it! Good job, Serena." Ash smiled.

"Thanks," I replied.

Luke and Luna levitated to the ground. Once they landed, we all started walking into Anistar City.

"So, once we get in Anistar, we go to the Pokémon Center. After that, we make the portal to Arceus immediately, right?" Ash asked.

"Yup!" Luna cheered. "It's going to be awesome. Are you guys ready for an adventure?"

Ash and I looked in each other's eyes just before we entered the Anistar City's gate.

"Yeah!" We both chanted at the same time.

Just as we said our little line, we entered Anistar City. All the citizens were playing around with psychic-type Pokémon.

"Now, to the Pokémon Center!" Luna cheered.

"Right!" I smiled.

We dashed into the Pokémon Center. Ash and I offered our Pokémon to Nurse Joy. Luna and Luke's Pokèmon were already fully healed. We received our Pokémon back once Nurse Joy was done curing them. After that, we sprinted to the sundial. Luckily, no one was around. That meant that we could make a portal without question.

"Alright, everyone, you know how this will work," Luke started. "Luna and I will make the portal using some intense aura magic, then you two will jump in the portal as soon as it appears."

"Right." Ash nodded.

Luna and Luke started blasting aura magic in the circle area of the sundial. They looked like they were struggling, but they held their position and kept on firing the aura harder. Soon enough, the sundial started changing color into a glowing blue, and it shot the aura energy just in front of it.

A portal appeared in front of Ash and me. We took a deep breath, held each other's hands, and jumped into the portal.

My vision went black for a moment, but soon I saw that Ash and I were surrounded in a rainbow spiral. The next thing I realized was that we were falling.

"What happens when we reach the bottom?" Ash asked, his eyes glistening in the rainbow colors.

"No clue," I sighed. "Hopefully the portal brought us to the right place."

Ash nodded, and then held my hands. It was like we were skydiving. We spun around the spiral. We laughed as we looked into each other's eyes. Soon enough, we saw a platform underneath us.

We're in heaven, we're already dead, so the impact shouldn't hurt.

Once we landed, my thought was proven to be correct. We looked around, and everything was like a ghost town. It was kind of creepy, honestly. Sure, the buildings were all white, but everyone was a spirit. Welcome to the horror movie: Heaven!

Ash and I cautiously walked around not speaking a word. We were both flabbergasted. We looked around and saw what we were looking for. Arceus. He was standing by a temple right by us.

"Are you telling me that I can talk to Arceus?" Ash asked.

"I mean, how else were we going to tell him? Sign language?" I replied.

Ash chuckled as we walked up to Arceus. Nobody was talking to him, so now was the perfect time.

Once we were right in front of Arceus, he started talking.

"Hello fellow aura masters. How may I help you?"

"We came to ask for your aid," Ash answered.

"Really?" Arceus asked.

"Yes, you see, Lysandre is-"

"A disgrace to the human race. He made everyone turn on each other. He split up the aura guardians I blessed with my energy. He's triggering."

"Yeah so, you see, he caught Giratina. Serena and I want to take him down, but now since he has Giratina, he's invincible without your help. You're the only person who can fight Giratina," Ash explained.

"Or I can just bless your Pokémon with my power," Arceus replied.

"Wouldn't that disrupt the balance in nature though? The dark can't completely go away," I interrupted.

"Smart. Of course it would, that was a test. Good job, you aren't power seekers. Yes, I'll go with you. You can catch me in a PokèBall. However, Giratina and I are forced by laws of nature to break our PokèBall that we're caught in after our duty is done. Once Giratina and I fight, we can never be caught by you again," Arceus explained.

"Wait, seriously?" Ash asked.

"Yes. Allow me to give you a little lesson of Nature's rules," Arceus replied.

Ash and I nodded. We're literally talking to the creator of the world right now. We're pretty much forced to do what he asks of us.

"Alright, first. Giratina and I made the three major parts of the universe that you know. Heaven, hell, and space."

We nodded, understanding what he was explaining.

"Giratina and I made all of the legendaries that aided us in making space and the world you know as Earth. Now, you may realize that Giratina and I both made Earth. Do you know what that means?"

"No," Ash replied honestly. I didn't either.

"It means that Earth has been blessed with light, but also cursed with dark. For every positive reaction, there's also a negative," Arceus explained. "So that means when I made aura users/guardians/masters, there was an opposite reaction."

"Giratina made Lysandre?" I asked.

"Think further back. Giratina made the rage in aura guardians, the psychopath talk. He made psychopaths," Arceus explained.

Ash looked shocked by this. I looked at him confused.

"Luke, Lysandre and Riley's Brother, told me that Lysandre was always psychotic, they just never realized it. Are you saying that he was cursed with Giratina's magic when Riley and Luke were blessed with your power?" Ash asked.

"Exactly. And there's more psychos out there. They're all a part of Team Flare, as well."

"That's an even better reason to attack Team Flare!" I yelled.

"I don't think you get the memo. If Giratina and I fight, then all aura magic will disappear from Earth as we will lose from aura masters as our trainers." Arceus explained.

"Just because we're aura masters?" I asked. "I mean, I guess we could train in swords."

"First, you'll have to take me to Team Flare. Their base is at a Lumiose City cafe, Lysandre's cafe. There, you'll have to talk to the grunts to give you the password. Once you have the key, you'll go into their base. Lysandre will be in the first door to the left, which is typically unlocked," Arceus explained. "I'm glad you came up here to heaven just to get my aid. I've been wanting revenge on my brother a lot recently."

"Are you talking about Giratina?" I asked.

"Why of course, why wouldn't I be?" Arceus asked.

Arceus walked up to Ash's empty PokèBall and clicked the button. Arceus was caught in a typical everyday PokèBall you get from the Professor once you pick your starter. What a coincidence.

"Arceus, come on out!" Ash yelled.

Arceus appeared out of the PokèBall.

"I'll teleport you now," Arceus announced. "Don't take me out of your PokèBall again until you're ready for me to face Giratina."

"Got it." Ash nodded.

Energy surrounded Ash and me, and soon, we appeared back in the rainbow spiral we were in before. A minute later, we appeared right in front of the sundial of Anistar City. Taking a deep breath, Ash and I looked at each other in the eyes.

"Guess this is it, then. After this, our journey's done," I sighed.

"Then, we can go back to the aura village if you want," Ash replied.

"I don't know. It still doesn't feel entirely like home," I admitted. "Dawn and Gary are who I'm really longing to see again. You're lucky you got on a phone call with Gary."

"Yeah, I guess so," Ash responded.

"Well, I'd rather not think about the future yet. Let's go beat Lysandre!" I cheered, dashing away from the sundial.

"Wait on me!" Ash chuckled.

We dashed through the city, and we set off on the last step of our adventure.
