A Wicked Ending is a dating sim. I know we're switching it up a bit from my usual but hey why not. A Wicked Ending takes place in a fantasy world where all the fairytales we know and love are real.

The game begins where you the player look into a mirror where you choose your protagonist. A male or female Merlin-inspired protagonist named Meri or well Merlin. But after choosing your protagonist you can choose your own player username. Once you choose your Merlin you're introduced to the world and the main setting. Evermore Castle. A castle where young royals from different kingdoms live for half a year to try and help them build relationships. And the kingdoms change for each time royals enter Evermore. And Meri/Merlin just so happens to be the chief of staff at Evermore. Though the royals of this cycle at Evermore.......let's just say...........they aren't the most...........sunny. And all of them seem to remind Meri/Merlin of different figures from their world's history.

Meri/Merlin prepare for the royals to arrive as they decorate the castle and clean it up. Soon a member of the staff informed them that the royals had arrived to Evermore. Which Meri/Merlin was delighted by and went down to the entrance to greet them.

Meri/Merlin arrived at the entrance and met the royals.

Victor Frost, Prince of the Kingdom of the Frozen North

Eros Rose, Prince of the Kingdom in the Rabbit Hole

Matt Fairest, Prince of the Kingdom of the Poison Apple

Thorn Eternity, Prince of the Darkest Kingdom

And Jones Hook, Prince of the Jolly Rodger Pirate Fleet

The five royals looked around at each other and Matt was the most visibly disgusted. Meri/Merlin welcomes them to Evermore Castle and begins the tour of the castle by bringing them inside. As the tour goes on Meri/Merlin can sense the tension between these five princes. Hoping that it didn't effect the purpose of Evermore.

Eventually Meri/Merlin arrive with the princes to the central ballroom. Usually used for practicing ballroom protocols but seeing this cycle's roster Meri/Merlin assume it won't be necessary. But Matt interjects saying he'd use the ballroom for personal dance practice. He says his mother's been training him in ballroom protocol since before he could talk so the more he practices the better. Meri/Merlin say that if he doesn't make too much noise and disturb the other princes then it would be alright by them. Matt thanks them and even says, in an extremely flirty way, that maybe if Meri/Merlin stopped by during his practice he'd ask them to dance with him. Obviously causing Meri/Merlin to blush. But they continue on with the tour.

Once the tour concludes with Meri/Merlin showing the princes their rooms he reminds them to remain as civil as possible and that they would soon ask each prince for a private interview on how to make their stays as comfortable as possible.

First was Victor, he wants his room to be kept as cold as possible and with plenty of reading material. Specifically educational material or spell books would suffice.

Next was Eros, he just wanted a routine schedule of teatime at 4AM and 4PM and access to the castle's garden. He also asked if he could plant anything in the garden himself specifically roses. To which Meri/Merlin say yes to.

Next was Matt, he just needs plenty of apples and mirrors. As well as Meri/Merlin's company every now and then. Also a consistent routine in the castle spa he'd read about would help him enjoy his time tremendously.

Next was Thorn, he didn't actually say anything or show up. He just sent a maid with a list of how to make his stay more comfortable. Only two items were listed. Near complete avoidance of light and to just be left alone unless they needed to gather for some kind of 'trust building' exercise.

Finally, Jones, he says he just wants to be respected. And quietly but not too quietly said 'For once'. Oof.

Meri/Merlin take all that into consideration. Which ends the collective main story and opens up the ability to play each love interest's independent stories. Of which I am too lazy to write right now.
