After the incident with Shanks Minato was alone. Right now he was walking through a jungle forest while later ok'ing at a map.

Minato: It says that the temple should be here.

Minato's goal was to get an item from a yelp that should make him more stronger. He need this item because it has been known to give people power. Minato didn't want to lose anyone anymore. He knew the risk he was taking as soon as he set out for this.

Minato: Hmm, there it is.

Minato: Looks a little ancient. Well of course it is it's an old temple. Well no turning back now.

Walking up to the temple opening he took a deep breath. He looked at his side and was gripping Shanks's sword tightly. He was nervous,  a feeling that isn't common for him. Stepping inside the temple it was completely dark.

Minato: God it's dark.

Reaching into his bag he pulled out a flashlight. He flipped the switch but it didn't turn on.

Minato: I swear it was working a while ago and I know the batteries wouldn't run out that quick.

Minato: Uh, What was- Ahhhhh!

With comedic timing a trap door opened under him and fell in after a few seconds.

30 seconds later because author is either laser or doesn't know how to write a sliding section

Minato: Ahhhhh- oof!

After a 30 second slide he lands on his butt. Getting up he sees that he's in the middle of a room. It wasn't dark but there was no light source.

Minato: Where am I?

Holy voice: You boy are in the Temple of Balance.

Minato: The Temple of Balance?

Holy voice: What do you seek young one?

Minato: Getting right to the point I see. I have come for power. An object that people have spoke about that grants the person unspeakable power. I want to use to protect people, my friends... my family...

Holy voice: Very well, but you undergo three trials. First, the trial of mind, this will test your sanity. Second, the trial of pain and endurance, this will test your limits to fight and your strength to carry on even if you are mortally wounded. And finally, the trail of acceptance, you will have to learn about it yourself boy.

Minato: I see. I wish to go forward.

Holy voice: Very well.

A door opened and a black mist was coming out of it.

Minato: It's now or never.

Minato walks through the door seating his first challenge.

First challenge: Trial of Mind

Minato found himself in a weird situation, for one he was tied up. And for two he was blindfolded.

Minato: Huh? Where am- Gah!

All of a sudden voices fill his head.

Voices: You let him die! You couldn't save him! What friend are you! Do they really believe in you! Is it too much to handle!

More and more voices keeper of filling his head until there were to many that it was sea of distortion.

Minato: No I didn't! They are my friends! Ahhh!

At this point he was screaming his lungs out.

Minato: No, no, no....

He the voices stoped but he was slumped over, not moving an inch.

Minato: I'm a failure, I'm weak, I'm a lo- no I'm not! Rahhhh!

Using all of his strength he broke out of rope the was holding him. He then took of the blindfold and started to kick the chair until it broke.

Minato: Pant god Pant damn.

Holy voice: Looks like you completed the challenge, but out of all the people who have faces this you are the quickest to finish this, Sometimes it would take someone hours to finish it. Now let's continue to your next trial.

A door opened up and and the same black Must was coming out.

Minato: Well here goes nothing.

Minato walks into the mist going into the next trial.

Second Challenge: Trial Of Pain and Endurance

Coming out the second door everything was darkness. A lift then came onto Minato.

Minato: I'm ready.

Then a hallway appears.

Minato(thinking): A hallway, shiiiiit I think I know what's coming next.

Holy Voice: Now this is the Trial of Pain and Endurance. This test will make you go through the toughest enemies and pain imaginable. There will be traps and illusions so you must be carful, many have died trying to go through here.

Minato: Well that seems... Well I'm not going to worry about it, I'm ready for this.

Minato pulled out Shanks's sword.

Holy voice: Now go forth, young one.

Minato charged through the hallway and enemies started to appear.

Minato: Looks like I got some trouble, well I at least I know how to fight!

Two of them charged at Minato but he blocked the swings of their weapons with ease. He pushed one back and it stepped on a pressure plate and it a hole open up and the worrier fell into it. Minato kicked two others into the pit. The pit closed up and Minato made his way through the hallway. More came his way but he summoned Orpheus and used a fire attack to incarcerate them all.

Minato: This is easy.

*Click*

Minato: Huh?

Minato stepped on a pressure plate an a spear came out of nowhere and impelled him.

Minato: Ahhh! Ugh, gah! Huh?

The Spear and the blood and the damages disappear. Minato was unharmed.

Minato: That must have been one of the illusions. But that felt so real, still time to move on.

Later

Minato finally arrived to the end of the hallway and was met by this thing-

Minato: Looks like your the final boss of this challenge huh?

The Knight didn't say anything, it took out its sword and prepared for combat.

Minato: Not going to talk eh? Well then lets dance!

Minato charged at the Knight who blocked his sword attack. The knight pushed off Minato but he recovered.

Minato: Persona!

Using his Envoker he pulled the trigger and out came Thanatos. the personification of death charged at the Knight but Knight counter attacked the sword.

Minato: He's strong, he blocked Thanatos's sword.

The Knight pushed back Thanatos and slashed at the persona making it disappear. Minato charged at him and the knight swung but Minato dodge it and slashed at the Knight. Being that the knight didn't have that much heavy armor, it cut through like a hot knife through butter. The Knight stepped back and put his hand on his wound and then healed his wound.

Minato: Self healing huh, all I need to do is hit a vital point!

Minato summoned Thanatos again and jumped on its back. The persona charged at the Knight and swung at him overhead but with more force. The knight blocked it but the hit made the ground cracked. Minato seized the opportunity to jump off of Thanatos and stab the Knight in the head.

Minato: Take that!

He jumped off while taking the sword out of its head. The Knight fell over and started to disappear. Minato whipped off some sweat.

Minato: Well that was intesting.

Thanatos came by Minato's side and he petted it like a dog.

Minato: Good boy.

The Persona disappeared and the door to the next Trial opened.

Minato: Now time to go the final trial.

Minato closed his eyes and walked through the door into darkness.

(Well I'm ending this here, as much as I want to do the final trial i wantedto end it off on a cliff hanger, I hope you enjoyed this and will be waiting for the next chapter, see you guys later!)
