Drawbacks: The strength of the user's curses is tied to emotions. The more negative emotions Izuku feels, the stronger his curses become. However, if Izuku becomes emotionally unstable, controlling the power unleashed via his curses becomes increasingly tricky. Excessive usage of curses also drains Izuku's energy, so Izuku often has to eat large meals to avoid energy depletion.

Ever since he could remember, Izuku believed that discovering his quirk would start his journey to be a fantastic hero alongside his best friend, Katsuki Bakugo. However, it seemed like fate decided to play a sick joke. While Izuku woke up one day with piercing red eyes, two large devil-like horns growing out of his head, and hands replaced with two monstrous green claws, upon going to the quick doctor, the green-haired boy discovered that he did not appear to possess a quirk. No matter the doctor's tests on Izuku, the results remained the same: Izuku Midoriya was quirkless, leaving the origins of his demon-like features a complete mystery.

The combination of his demonic physical traits and his quirkless status soon resulted in Izuku being labeled as many things by society: a quirkless Deku, a freak, an abomination, a waste of space, and a demon. Despite his apparent powerlessness, Izuku was soon labeled as the resident villain at the school. Everyone in Izuku's school life, including Bakugo, turned their backs on the boy and started mentally and physically tormenting him for something he had no control over. Izuku's life was hell on Earth. No one cared for him, no one loved him, no one wanted him around, and no one wanted him to be happy, well, except for one person.

Despite her work life becoming much more tumultuous and stressful due to being labeled as the mother of a demon, Inko still loved her baby boy with all her heart. She did not care about his demon-looking traits and still showered with just as much love and support as she did before that dreaded doctor's appointment. Honestly, Inko was the only reason Izuku had neither snapped nor tried to take his own life before As long as his mother was still by his side, he would continue to push on and try to pursue his dream of being a pro-hero. Unfortunately, life decided to play one more cruel joke.

One day as Izuku was walking back to his home after another terrible day at Aldera, his eyes widened in horror to find his small home ultimately wholly engulfed in flames all the while a mob of adults, which included some parents of some of the kids in his class at Aldera, several teachers, and some coworkers of Inkos, were continuing to throw Molotov cocktails in the home all the while chanting phrases like "purge the wicked" or "burn the witch and her demon spawn." Izuku, absolutely horrified by what was happening, immediately ran inside the home through the back door to find his mom, praying with every fiber of his being that she was somehow okay. However, his prayers would not be answered

After spending several minutes looking through the burning building, all the while trying not to be asphyxiated due to all the smoke, Izuku found the door to his mother's bedroom only to find her body lying on the ground, seemingly lifeless and being consumed by the growing flames. The sight of his mother, his only source of love and encouragement for the past several years, being immolated caused Izuku to collapse to the ground. Finally, all the pain, agony, and anguish he felt for so long was finally let out as the boy screamed, screeched, and wailed, all the while the building was collapsing around him. However, as Izuku continued to shout and let all his pain out, the fire was seemingly disappearing, or rather, it was consumed; as Izuku began sucking up all the flames engulfing his home like a vortex and consuming them all the while, a strange pattern appeared right below his right shoulder.

 Little did Izuku know, he had finally unlocked a power that had been building up within him since he was born, a power that makes even the most seemingly powerful quirks look weak in comparison, a power, when fully mastered, will allow Izuku to tacked some the of most powerful quirk users in the world. This power was the power of Etherious.

However, Izuku's actions were not enough to save his home, as the house soon collapsed on top of Izuku and Inko. Thinking that they have accomplished their mission, the mob leaves. However, their assumptions would soon be proven wrong as a green claw breaks the surface of the pile of rubble. After several minutes, Izuku had successfully pulled himself and his mother out of the pile of burnt material that was once their home. Izuku places his ear on Inko's charred body, hoping to hear the faintest of heartbeats, but the only sound he heard was the sound of raindrops and his tears hitting the ground. Inko Midoriya was dead

As Izuku sobbed while hugging the body of his deceased mother, he began to breathe heavily as he recalled how his mother's life was turned upside down, became the epitome of a living nightmare, and was even taken away from her all because of society's irrational viewpoint of him, her son. As much as Izuku was furious at the people who took his mother away from him, he could not shake the feeling that he was the reason for his mother's death and miserable last few years on Earth. Before Izuku's panic-stricken state could worsen, his thought process was interrupted by the feeling of a hand being gently placed on his right shoulder.

As Izuku looked up, he saw a large, round man looking down at him. The man had yellow eyes, a wide mouth, and a small nose and was wearing black pants and an orange zipped hoodie. Izuku then noticed that, much like himself, the man was also crying. He was crying because he was unable to make it to the scene in time to save this boy's mother and, as a result, spare the boy from this emotional anguish that he was feeling. As the large man continued to see the tears dripping down Izuku's face, he clenched his left hand tightly. At that moment, the man made a decision. He might not have been able to save this boy's mother, but he will make sure that the boy is happy and will never have to endure misery like this ever again. It was at this moment, that the pro-hero decided to adopt the green-haired boy and help him start a new chapter in his life.
