Description of Story:  It had been about six months since the conclusion of the final war between the villains led by AFO/Shigaraki and the heroes. Melissa Shield was walking the few blocks between the hotel she was staying at and the prestigious U.A. Hero School.

The blond-haired girl looked forward to seeing all the hero students from 2-A she had first met at her home on the I-Island when they were first years. However, there was one UA hero student that Melissa was looking forward to seeing again more than any other, and that was Izuku Midoriya. Ever since Izuku, along with the help of All Might, saved her and her father from Wolfram on the I-Island, the blond-haired girl had developed a deep sense of admiration and respect for the green-haired boy, which has only grown stronger over time, especially after witnessing the young green-haired hero put an end to the reign of terror of AFO once and for all. Just thinking about Izuku's many acts of heroism and bravery, as well as his brilliant smile that could give hope to anyone no matter how dire the situation, caused the blond-haired girl's heart rate to increase and to feel butterflies fluttering in her stomach. Needless to say, the blond-haired girl was excited to see her crus.....I mean hero again.

But first things first, Melissa decided to stop to get a bite to eat since her stomach had been growling since she left the hotel; she decided to stop by a nearby cafe to sit down and eat some food. She was so distracted by the delectable scents coming to the eating venue that she nearly collided with a girl with black shoulder-length bob-shaped hair exiting the restaurant. Melissa tried apologizing to the black-haired girl, but the girl just replied with a simple "It's okay" in the most emotionless tone possible before walking away.

Upon entering the cafe, Melissa immediately looked over the menu at an available table. The blond-haired girl had her head so deep into reading the menu that she failed to notice one of the servers approach her table. As the waiter asked Melissa, whose face was hidden behind the menu, what she wanted to eat, the blond-haired girl's eyes widened in shock as she immediately recognized the waiter's voice. She dropped her menu on the table, and the waiter's eyes widened in disbelief as he immediately recognized the young lady he was waiting for.

"Izuku!?"

"Melissa!?"

As Melissa stared into the eyes of the green-haired boy she had hoped to see for so long, many questions ran through her mind. Why was he working at a local cafe? Why wasn't he at UA? Why did his smile seem fake and lack the same shimmering positivity that it did when she first met him on the I-Island? And finally, why did his eyes, which always reminded the blond-haired girl of the most brilliant emeralds, lack almost any shine or life?

Little did Melissa know that over the next twenty-four hours, she would discover why her green-haired hero seemed to have lost his drive and his spirit, and needless to say, the blond-haired girl was furious. She was angry that UA kicked him out of the school because he lost his quirk after defeating AFO. She was enraged that almost none of Izuku's former classmates stood up for him and watched as the green-haired boy was kicked out of the prestigious heroics program. Finally, she was disappointed in her Uncle Might, who left Izuku to fend for himself after losing his quirk and being kicked out of the school.

Melissa knew that she had to do something. She could not just stand by and watch the darkness of self-doubt and depression consume the once blazing and heroic spirit of her green-haired friend. Melissa would try her hardest to help her hero, who had saved her during her darkest hour in the past, conquer these frustrating times and help him realize that his dream to be a hero who could save anyone with a smile was not dead yet.

The following day, Melissa returned to the cafe and walked straight to Izuku, who was busy cleaning a table. She ignored the inquisitive looks she was getting from the other employees and customers. Melissa clasped Izuku's right hand before saying a single sentence that would catch the green-haired boy off guard.

"Come back to the I-Island with me!"
