Books tumble out of my arms onto the street, coincidently falling into the muddiest puddle on the street.

"I'm so sorry Mason!" Dante mocked, his mask's crystalline eyes taunting me. "Let me pick up those books and wipe that frown off your face!"

I ignored him as he and his best friend laughed.

"Oh, that's right!" Aaron laughed. "You can't!"

A tear slipped down my face, but my mask stopped it in it's tracks.

Masks were chosen at birth by the system randomly. I happened to be bestowed with the classic sad theater mask.
