Glacepaw's eyes fluttered open, he was no longer in Blueheart's den. He was instead surrounded tree's. It was incredibly hard to see, as shadow's where everywhere. "Hello?" he called out to see if he was alone. A loud piercing yowl was heard "Bluestar!!!" he looked around, he swore he knew that name from somewhere. A hallowing cackle was heard and he turned around to spot a large, black cat. It slashed at him and he woke up.

Blueheart looked at the startled cat. "Hey, you okay Glacepaw?" she smoothed off his ruffled fur. He looked at her "Umm... yes I'm fine" Glacepaw responded quickly and quietly. "Well, you really messed up your tail. You probably won't be out of here for while. Let's catch up." She smiled lightly "So, how's your training going?"

He smiled lightly "It's going pretty good. I mean, Fallspire is hard on me sometimes. But it's all for the best." She nodded in agreement. "Before the Blood Feast he was so much fun... then he changed. But, I suppose that happens to any cat who witnesses something as traumatic as that." she smiled and got up "I'm going to go get more herbs. You rest." With that, she padded out of the den, leaving Glacepaw.

A few hours later Fallspire came into the den to check on him "Hey, I'm sorry if I was hard on you earlier." Glacepaw looked up "It's okay, I know how important Fourthstar was to you." Fallspire smiled and licked between his ears. "Look on the bright side, now I'm deputy and Fireblaze is Firestar. Things can start to look up now." Reassured Fallspire. "In fact, when you're feeling up to it he has something for you." Fallspire winked, and walked out of the den.

In a few days, his tail was back to it's prime. Glacepaw padded into the leader den to see Firestar. "Hello Glacepaw, Glad to see you're back to health. Blueheart works wonders doesn't she?" Greeted Firestar. Glacepaw nodded "Yes, she is a wonderful Medicine Cat." Firestar nodded "You're wondering why I brought you here. Correct?" Glacepaw nodded "That's why I'm here. What did you need Sir?"

Firestar chuckled at the title "We need to get the clans back together. I've spoken with Starclan, and they believe you are the best cat to do so. Go see Blueheart about herbs and take that apprentice Maplepaw with you. You'll need all the help you can get."

Glacepaw's eyes widened, it was very rare for apprentice's to go on missions alone. "Firestar, you're sure Starclan wasn't talking about another cat right? I'm not even a warrior yet!" Firestar gave him a dangerous look "Don't question me, kit."

Glacepaw took the hint and backed out of the den to fetch Maplepaw. "Maplepaw?!? Where are you?" he looked around for his friend, seeing him chatting up some she-cats. He rolled his eyes and walked over "Maplepaw, we got our first mission!" Glacepaw yipped. Maplepaw's eyes widened "No way." Glacepaw nodded and went to go get the necessary herbs from Blueheart.

As he got nearer, he heard voices inside. It was Firestar speaking to Blueheart. "I don't expect any loose tongues. If I do find out you betrayed me then your tongue will be very, very loose." Blueheart sounded as if she was crying "Y-yes Firestar." Glacepaw's eyes widened in disbelief. Perhaps it was a playful thing between the two, as the two cat's spent a lot of time around each other. He waited till they were done to collect the herbs "Blueheart?" called Glacepaw

Bluestar turned to face him 'Here for your herbs?" she chocked and ran to the back of her den to fetch the herbs for their journey. "Here you are!" she quickly gave him them, then ran to the back again. Glacepaw sighed, this wasn't normal. Maybe she was just nervous, everyone was with a new leader.

Glacepaw took the herbs and walked with Maplepaw to the entrance to camp "Where to first?" Glacepaw asked Maplepaw in curiosity. Maplepaw shrugged. "We could go to Sandclan, they seem like the most friendly cats. " Glacepaw nodded "Well, are you ready to head out?" Maplepaw nodded, and the two apprentices headed out into the unknown.
