Third Person's POV -

'Saee please chalna yaar.' Shubman pleaded.
'No dude come on.' she rolled her eyes.

'Saee....'
'Tum apni girlfriend ko lekar jao na. I don't wanna go.' she huffed.

Shubman was convincing his best friend Saee to join him at the celebrations that were held as ICT won against Australia.

'She's out in a vacation with her family naa..isiliye to..' he trailed off.
'Ek to vahan Rohit Sharma honge aur phir main khud ko control na kar saki toh?'

'Jab bhi mera match hota hai woh bhi wahin hote hai na aur tum to Ritika bhabhi se bhi mil chuki ho.' he rolled his eyes.
'Jab mili thi tab I was already going to faint ab Rohit ko milungi to kya hoga.' she facepalmed.

'Come on doll please!' he said with puppy eyes.
'Don't call me doll!' Saee snapped.

'Fine meri Maa please chal na please....' he said.
'Urghh no! Badle main muje kya milega?' she raised her eyebrows.

'I'll give you anything. Tum bas batao.' he pleaded.
'How about chocolates?' she replied.

'Arey of course!' he beamed.
'My favourite ones.' she smirked.

'No no no ab main Teri favourite Ghirardelli ke liye specially California jau?' he huffed.
'Yes or else I'm not going.'

'Fine.' he sighed.
'Yesss I love you Shubie!'

'Thank you, Achaa and wear something good haan!' he teased.
'O hello? My dressing sense is 1000 times better than you Mr. Gill.' she rolled her eyes.

So Saee spent like 2 hours to pick her dress and finally decided to go with a red with thigh slit one.

'Ah ouch!' Shubman shouted as he fell down.
'Wha—are you alright Shub?' Saee rushed to him.

'My heart! Ah you're killing me girl!' he said in pain.
'SHUB WHAT IS HAPPENING?' Saee's voice almost breaking.

'You're killing me because oh...you look ravishing! Sab cricketers tujpe marene wale hai.' Shubman smiled.
'Ugh you idiot! I thought you were actually hurt!' she smacked his chest.

'Naah you're just that beautiful.' he said.
'I hate you!' Saee rolled her eyes.

'Keep rolling your eyes. Maybe you'll find a brain back there.' Shubman mocks.

'Shut the hell up.' she glared.
'Sorry love but no I'm serious, you look gorgeous.' he smiled.

'Really? Thank you.' she smiled back.
'Mi lady..' he bowed down and gave his hand.
'Thank you.' she gladly took it.

They had reached the party on time. Most of the cricketers had already reached except for few ones.

'Who's this lovely girl? Did you and your girlfriend breakup Shubman?' Rohit asked as Saee and Shub greeted him.
'No no that's his best friend Saee.' said Ritika bhabhi as she joined them.

'Wow I'm so sorry!' he chuckled.
'It's nice to meet you Saee.'

'Thank you! Nice to meet you too.'
'That's a unique name. What does it mean?'

'It's actually an Maharashtrian name. It means a female friend, sakhi.'
'That's a lovely name Saee.' he smiled and Saee couldn't help but blush.

'She's actually so a crazy fan of yours.' said Shubman and she smacked his arm.
'Then why are standing there? Come here.' he said as he gave Saee a bear hug.

'I love you so much.' Saee mumbled.
'I know. I love you too.' Rohit chuckled.

'Okay, I'll have to take this. You two enjoy the party and Shubman iss bichari ko pareshaan mat karna.' he said as his phone rang.
'Yeah sure bichari my ass.' Shubman rolled his eyes.

'Did you say something?' Rohit asked and Shubman straight away shook his head, 'Nope'.
Saee smirked as he quickly changed this sentence.

'Zyada udne maat lago.' he smiled sarcastically.
'SHUBMAN!' someone called.

They turned around to see Shubman's girlfriend Genevieve.
'GEN!' Shubman practically ran and hugged her.

'You made it baby!' he said overjoyed.
And then it was the last bit she heard from him. They both just disappeared then. Ugh this lovebirds she thought.
'Great! Now I'm all alone. Shubman ko to badmain dekhti huun.' Saee sighed.

'Kiski shamat ayi hai?' someone asked and she turned around to see Devdutt Padikkal.
'The Shubman Gill. He literally just left me all alone. I'll use Avada Kedavra on him.' she said with a bit of anger.

'Might as well use The Cruciatus curse on him before that.' he laughed.
'Wait! You understood that reference?' her eyes widened.

'Of course! I'm a Gryffindor after all!' he chuckled.
'No way! I'm a Ravenclaw omg!' she smiled.

'Myself Devdutt but you can call me Dev!' he introduced himself.
'I'm Saee! And I already knew who you were.' she said back.

Then there was silence for a while.
'Um let me use one more reference, how about we disapparate from here?' Devdutt said nervously.
'Umm...I...' was all that came out of her mouth.

'That wasn't creepy I hope.' he tittered.
'No no it's just that you're a famous cricketer and—'

'So I can't ask you out?' he furrowed his eyebrows.
'Oh my no you totally can I mean...'

'I'm very bad at asking girls out. I literally had to build up strength to do this. Shubman told me you loved HP universe and-'
'So you said all that just to impress me?' Saee folded her hands.

'No I'm a Potterhead too! Read the books too.' he tried to convince her.
'Uh huh? Answer me this then, who was Winky?' she asked.

'The elf? She first appeared in The Goblet of Fire and she was one of the oncoming house-elves who attacked the Death Eaters in the final battle.' he said in one breath and Saee went speechless.
'So?' he smirked.

'Okay! You are a true Potterhead! Come on, let's disapparate!' she nodded.

So dodging all the other cricketers and media they both reached Devdutt's car and drove away.

'So nikal to gaye par kahan jaye? Marine Drive?' he asked as they finally reached the road.
'Well I know a place if you're willing to come and if you're not faint hearted guy!' she crooked her eyebrow.

'Me? Faint hearted? Please..' he scoffed.
'Okay then I'll lead!' she said typing the coordinates in the GPS.

When they reached the destination Devdutt regretted that he agreed to go the place Saee was taking him. There was a narrow dark road from where they were supposed to walk. They had to drive for one and a half hour to reach there.

'Let's GOO.' Saee cheered.

Dev parked the car under a tree and then both started walking. The road lead to a beautiful abandoned house. It had a big front door and so many balconies and windows.

As the cold winds started blowing Dev took off his jacket and gave it to Saee.

'Come on!' she said as she dragged him inside up to the stairs. The insides of it looked liked the Shrieking Shack. They did managed to climb up the roof in the utter darkness without falling on one another.

'This is my place.' Saee exhaled.
'Peaceful and beautiful.' she added

'And a little haunted. Don't you think?' he chuckled.
'Hey you were the one who said I'm not afraid.' she shrugged.

'I am not afraid!' he shook his head and Saee laughed.
'The sky is so beautiful as well.' he said changing the topic.
'Yeah!' she smiled looking at the sky.

'So I'm leaving in few hours. We have a match in Ahmedabad.' he said looking down.

'Oh Shubman invited me for the series so I'm coming to Ahmedabad too!'
'So we'll meet again?' he eyes gleaming with hope.

'Yes we'll meet again!' she nodded.
