"Are you familiar with the trade Ame has to offer?"Asked Shikara.
"Not really" Shikaku replied.
"They're a highly industrialized nation."Said Shisaid. "Most knew technology comes from that village, Film production machinery being there most recent, however they more regularly trade advanced farming equipment and various types of motors for ships and such. And you know me being an Economist, I've noticed some inconsistencies lately. A few years ago, around the time Lord Orochimaru left the village, large farming and food industry and big shipping brands like Gato transport for example, ran out of product to sell in almost an instant."
"I remember that." Shikaku interrupted. " It caused a major depression in the Land of Water. Especially the wave country. No one could tell what caused it since the fish were plenty and crops were good."
"It was the equipment." Said Shikara, raising her head paring through the large treetops to the darkening sky. The only thing she loved watching more than clouds, were stars."Industrial ships, industrial plows". She continued.
"All things sold by Ame". He finished.
"Precisely"
"But the corporations got back up and running pretty quickly. So what makes you think they're still in civil war?" Shikaku Asked.
"Philanthropy ." She responded.
Shikaku looked at his sister confusedly. The expression unnatural on his face.
"Rich business men aren't throwing thier money around like they used too. Their budgeting and there's no visible reason why. I've been thoroughly investigating this and determined it's the equipment. Instead of buying in bulk from the bigger tech company,  the corporations that relied on them are going to much smaller, individual manufacturers, which is much more expensive. This tells me those smaller manufacturers are refusing to sell to the bigger government-sponsored company. This is one of the reasons I think their undergoing a civil war." Shikara said, taking a long breath after the tiring explanation.
"Why are you investigating this?" Asked Shikaku.
"That's actually another thing I wanted to talk to you about and another reason why I think there's a civil war," She said. "Lord Danzo asked me to investigate."
Shikaku started in surprise. Another expression he wasn't used too. Sitting tensely, he looked at his sister.
"Why would Danzo want you to investigate this." Asked Shikaku, noticeably dropping the "Lord" in Danzo's name." Well, besides the obvious of wanting to take advantage of a village in depression."
"My guess?" Said Shikara."The Akatsuki."
Shikara looked at her brother and saw faint recognition in his eyes.
"Name sound familiar?" She asked. "They were a peace activist group during the Third Great Shinobi War, made up of orphans from the Second. The name has come up a few times in some under the table business transactions in my investigation."
"I can't imagine Lord Hanzo has taken to kindly to a peace activist group in his village." Shikaku commented. Shikara hummed in agreement. The leader of Amegakura  was infamous for his strength, brutality, and ruthlessness. Peace was not something he'd advocate for. Not unlike Konoha's Lord Danzo.
"I believe Lord Danzo is participating in this war from behind the scenes. However I don't know which side he's on. The Akatsuki's or Lord Hanzo's." Said Shikara. The siblings sat in a thoughtful silence for a moment. The sky was noticeably darker and the stars were slowly but surely begining to multiply. Shikara stared up at them in slight envy. The stars had no troubles. No conspiracy theories to mull over-
Suddenly, the bushes rustled
The siblings sat stiff and stared tensely at the bushes. They both knew that if anything dangerous had entered the Nara Forest, thier forest, the deer would have alerted them long before it got this far. However the serious discussion they were having before, bled into the air, giving them an uneasy feeling.
The bushes rustled again and a small figure walked out.

"Shikanai?!" They both startled in surprise.
The child stared at them blankly, not saying a word. Leaving them to wonder how she managed to sneak past her father again. Shikara was seriously beginning to doubt her husband's observational abilities.
The child continued to stare at them. Her dark hair and pale eyes looked earily similar to the night sky above her.
Then she began walking past her mother and uncle, completely ignoring.
Shikara stared in disbelief at her daughter while Shikaku stared in slight bemusement at her odd behavior.
Without another word they got up and followed the young girl. After some distance they heard an inhuman, hoarse shriek. The three picked up the pace in the direction of the call. Finally, they came to the edge of a grassy clearing.
A doe was lying on her side panting. The rest of the herd stood attentively, some distance away. The doe gave one last shriek and suddenly there were two.
The siblings gasped in awe at the sight before them, and no, it was not because of the miracle of birth. Yes, birth was a miracle, of wich they had seen many. Particularly of the deer variety. What truly caused them such surprise, was the wet, bloody, yet unmistakable white fur that scruffily clothed the young fawn.
"An albino" Shikaku breathed.
Without warning, Shikanai casually walked up to the new deer. Shikara and Shikaku quickly followed behind. Animals tend to be unusually aggressive around thier young. Especially thier newborn young. The deer probably wouldn't attack these particular three, but the siblings would stay close just in case.
Shikanai gently aproached the exhausted doe, who reached out her snout and gently nuzzled the young girl, and peered curiously at the now suckling fawn.
"A boy" Shikara said softly.
She turned to her daughter and said
"You should name him"
Shikaku nodded in agreement
Shikanai tilted her head a little and looked thoughtfully at the fawn.
"Byakuya." She said finally and definitely.
Shikara raised her eyebrow at the familiar sounding word, but nothing more was said. The trio watched the first few minutes of life, then made their way back to their homes. On their trek through the forest, Shikaku turned to his little niece to ask her a question that had been bothering him.
"Shikanai, how did you know about the deer"
Shikaku had a sneaking suspicion of what it was and was now looking for confirmation.
Shikanai turned to her uncle, giving him a clear view of her smooth colorless eyes. Without a word, the veins around her eyes suddenly popped and the indent of a pupil appeared in the center of each eye.
Shikaku's eyes narrowed while Shikara's widened. His suspicions were confirmed.
The child had awakened her Byakugan.

----------------The next day-----------------

Shikara and Naichigo sat in their living room sipping tea together while Shikanai was taking a nap in their yard. When she had arrived at her home, Yoshino had left and Naichigo was sound asleep. He had no idea their daghter had even left. She decided to keep their little adventure to herself. Let her husband figure out their daughter awakened his clans sacred dojutsu himself.
Shikara sipped her tea.
"Hey, Kara?" Naichigo said.
"Yes?" She responded.
"Shikanai's birthday is coming up." Naichigo said
"Yes." She responded.
"What are we gonna get her?" He asked.
"Simple," she responded. "A pet"
"WHAT?!" Naichigo shouted in surprise. A needy, hyperactive animal was the last thing he expected his lazy wife to suggest.
"She likes animals, animals like her." Shikara explained with a matter of fact tone, thinkimg of the multiple occasions where her daughter was coddled by a deer.
"Okay, we're getting a-,  I mean her, a pet. He said happily. Suddenly excited.
Shikara hummed in response, no longer paying attention, and sipped her tea again.
