When Shadow stopped texting Shard he went into the daycare to pick up Ruby.

"Hello there I'm here to pick up my daughter Ruby."

"Okay what is your name?"

"My name is Shadow."

"Alright we will bring her to you in just a moment."

After a couple minutes of waiting Shadow saw Ruby come out of a set of doors and she can running at him at full speed.

"I missed you daddy." Ruby said while hugging Shadow.

"I missed you too Ruby. Now come on we need to head home."

"Okay."

With that Shadow and Ruby started their walk home.

"So how was it at the daycare?"

"It was fun but I missed you."

"Well at least you had fun."

"Yeah I guess."

Then Shadow felt his phone vibrate again. When he looked down he saw a text from Shard again.

Shard: Hi I just wanted to ask if you wanted to hang out after school tomorrow.

Shadow: I guess since I don't have anything planned tomorrow sure.

Shard: yay do you want to go anywhere or do you want to come to my house since it was my idea?

Shadow: Sure I'll just have to stop by somewhere first.

Shard: Alright see you tomorrow at school.

Shadow: Bye.

"Dad were you talking to someone on you phone?"

"Yes I was they just recently moved here and I met them at school."

"Okay, are they nice."

"Yes of course they're nice. If they weren't nice they wouldn't have invited me over to their house. And you'll be coming with us because I don't want to leave you alone with your grandma and grandpa."

"Okay dad." Ruby said looking nervous.

"Don't worry. If anything happens we'll go home."

"Okay dad."

With that nothing else happened with Shadow and Ruby as Shadow's parents weren't home when they got there.

Meanwhile when Shard got off her phone she went downstairs and saw her mom cooking dinner while her brother a vaporeon was napping on the couch.

"I swear all he does is sleep ever since he graduated."

"Can you blame him Shard he doesn't have to get up early anymore."

"I suppose your right mom."

"Of course I'm right."

"Also mom I'm having a friend over tomorrow after school."

"Oh so you made a friend! What's their name."

"Their name is Shadow."

"Oh is it a boy?" Shard's mom said with a slight smirk.

"Maybe. I guess you'll find out tommorow." Shard replied smirking as well.

The next morning Shadow dropped off Ruby at the daycare and went to school where he met up with Shard.

"Hey Shard how are you today."

"I'm good. What about you Shadow?"

"I'm fine. But I'm running on low sleep at the moment."

"Why's that?" Asked Shard.

"I just couldn't fall asleep last night."

"Well let's get to class." Shard advised.

With that the 2 headed to class. Nothing interesting happened at school that day with Shadow not talking to anyone besides Shard and it was finally time to leave school.

Finally time to go. Shoot I forgot I'm gonna have to introduce Shard to Ruby that will be quite the conversation.

To say that Shadow was worried about how Shard would react was an understatement. He was petrified with fear of how she would react.

"Hey Shadow you ready?"

"Yeah just have to make a quick stop first."

"Alright let's go."

Shadow was still worried about how Shard would react.

I guess this is a good way to see if  she is really a friend. But I'm still worried because she's a good friend even if she somehow got my phone number.

Shadow was leading Shard towards the daycare and soon they were less than a block away.

Finally they arrived at the daycare.

"What are we doing at a daycare Shadow."

"You'll see in a moment."

Shadow then led Shard into the daycare.

"Hi there I'm here to pick up Ruby."

"Alright just because it's protocol what is your name."

"Shadow."

"Alright I'll go get her." She said starting to walk away.

"Who's Ruby?"

"You'll see in a moment." Shadow said with his heart racing.

After a couple more minutes of waiting Shadow saw Ruby come out of the same doors as she did the previous day.

"Daddy!" She yelled running to him and hugging him.

"Hey sweetie. This is Shard." Shadow replied.

Shard had a shocked expression on her face.

"You have a daughter!" She yelled shocked.

"Yes I do Shard. This is Ruby."

"So does that mean you have a girlfriend."

"Actually I don't she moved away to be with someone else but I'm not bothered by it anymore. Because I've got Ruby to keep me company."

"Wow, well are you ready to head over to my house."

"Yeah let's go. Come on Ruby."

"Okay Dad."

With that the 3 started walking towards Shard's house.

Ruby was taking in the sights as she wasn't really allowed out of the house unless she was with her father.

After a couple of minutes of walking they finally arrived at Shard's house.

"Okay we're here."

"Sweet." Was all Shadow said as he saw the large and nice house infront of his eyes.

"Why do you look like your in awe." Shard asked.

"I am because your house is a lot nice than mine."

"Really?"

"Yeah." Shadow replied.

With that Shard opened the door.

"I'M HOME!" Shard yelled making sure her family heard her.

Shard's mom came around the corner from what Shadow assumed was the kitchen since he smelled the wonderful aroma of food.

"Ah you must be Shadow. I'm Jewel Shard's mother."

"Yep I'm Shadow and the little ball of fluff behind me is Ruby."

"Aww is she your sister?"

"Umm no she is actually my daughter. And before you ask her mother moved away to be with someone else."

"Ohh. I'm sorry to hear that."

"It's fine I'm over it."

"Alright well if your hungry there's food on the counter in the kitchen where I came from."

"Okay thank you ma'am."

"Just call me Jewel there's no need to be formal."

"Okay Jewel."

"Also the lump over there on the couch is her brother and his name is Wave. Don't question it we've all accepted the name."

"That's a bit savage." Shadow said.

"Well we're family so it's alright." Jewel replied

"That's fair." Shadow replied.

Alright that's the end of chapter 3 I have so many Ideas for this story that I just have to write it. I hope you guys enjoy reading this as much as I've enjoyed writing it.
