Chapter 10 is finally here just want to note that I might make mature references/jokes from time to time, what else can you expect from a almost 14 year old. So anyway enough random talk onto the story.

Once Shadow finished eating eh went to the lounge to see Shard scrolling through shows.

"What do you want to watch Shadow?" Shard asked Shadow.

"Well I though maybe we could go for a hike." Shadow suggested.

"And here I thought you wanted to rest after yesterday." Shard said sarcastically.

Shadow just rolled his eyes as he stretched.

While Shard was just smiling while looking him over.

Well a hike could be fun and I'd be spending it with Shadow. Shard thought smiling at the thought of spending the day alone with Shadow.

"So is that a yes?" Shadow asked seeing Shard's expression.

"Yes." Shard replied still smiling.

"Alright let me know when your ready. It'll be a nice long hike." Shadow said.

"Alright let's go." Shard said after a few minutes.

Alright so Shard led the way out the door and Shadow looked behind him to see Jewel smirking at him making him blush a little.

After a couple of silent minutes of walking Shadow finally spoke up.

"It's a beautiful day today not too cold and not too hot."

"Yeah it's nice and peaceful." Shard replied smiling.

"So where are we going exactly?" Shard asked curiously.

"We're going to one of my favorite trails to go hiking on. You'll see why when we get there." Shadow said.

And hopefully I'll make it even more special. Shadow thought nervously

After an hour of walking Shadow heard the waterfall that he was taking Shard to.

"Alright Shard we're almost there." Shadow said smiling.

"Alright." Shard said and a minute later she started hearing water.

Where is he taking me. Shard thought to herself curious even more.

"And were here." Shadow said happily, Looking at the waterfall.

When Shard looked past Shadow she gasped in awe looking at the waterfall. Shard had never seen a waterfall in person before, it was even more beautiful than in pictures.

Pictures sure don't do the beauty of waterfalls justice. Shard thought.

"Wow Shadow how did you find this place?" Shard asked still in awe.

"I found it while on a hike and no one else ever comes here everyone passes it at some point but I heard it in the distance to see what it was and now I hang out here every so often." Shadow explained.

"Wow do your curiosity led you here?" Shard asked.

"Yeah. Also Shard, there's another reason I brought you here." Shadow said.

"And what's that?" Shard asked.

Well here goes nothing. Shadow thought to himself.

"Shard I really like you."

Shard just looked surprised.

"Like as a love interest?" Shard asked trying not to get her hopes up.

Shadow just nodded.

Shadow's nod almost made Shard pass out.

Shadow was starting to worry that Shard didn't like him as a love interest.

After recovering from her shock Shard charged at Shadow and tackled him to the ground in a hug.

"So do you like me back?" Shadow asked nervously.

"Yes! You have no idea how happy I am that you admitted your feeling to me!" Shard yelled happily.

They stayed on the ground hugging for awhile just looking into each other's eyes after awhile Shadow asked Shard something.

"So are we together now?" Shadow asked.

"Yes." Shard said wagging her tail.

After another couple of minutes Shadow spoke up again.

"We should head back home it's going to get dark soon and we don't want to get lost."

"Well you can see in the dark anyway Shadow so what's the big deal?"

"Well your mom might be getting worried and I want to see how Ruby's doing." Shadow said.

"Oh alright I guess we can head back now." Shard said in defeat.

When Shadow stood up and gave Shard a kiss on the cheek as they headed home.
